  1. Hi. It would be create if I could create an Android shortcut to a specific note. Android shortcuts are typically used on the home pages. Individual Android apps can define their own shortcut behavior. Thanks.
  2. I found EN as an app on my HTC Sense (Droid Eris) and then dowloaded it on my laptop a week or so ago. Now thatI've started making notes on my laptop and doing alot more work on it, I've noticed that I can't edit my notes on the phone anymore. I cannot find any setting that makes the phone a view node only. Anyone know what I did?
  3. My Android has a problem about showing image clipped from web. I use Firefox 3.6.3, Evernote Web Clipper 3.0.0.82006 and Evernote for Android 1.4B2 (76539) on HTC Magic (HT-03A). I tried following sequence to add image to Evernote. 1. Show http://www.google.co.jp/intl/en_com/ima ... logo1w.png 2. Right click the image. -> Add to Evernote. I could watch the added image by using Evernote for Windows. But I could not watch it by using Evernote for Android. The note is exist. But the image isn't displayed. Then, I tried following sequence too. 1. Show http://www.google.co.jp/intl/en_com/ima ... logo1w.png 2. Right click the image. -> Save image to local disk. 3. Run Evernote for Windows. 4. Drag & Drop the image to Evernote for Windows. After above sequence, I could watch the image by using Evernote for Android. Which has a problem, Evernote for Android or Web Clipper? Thanks in advance.
  4. Using the Motorola Devour, I cannot find the Evernote app listed (others too are missing) using Verizon Wireless. Any help?
  5. I installed Evernote on a windows computer and my Motorola Droid. When I start the app (evernote) on the droid, the fonts on the password and username are too small to read. I cannot see if the username I enter is correct. Is there a way on the Droid to increase the font size of the Evernote login screen? Thanks, john Brown
  6. Does anyone else notice this? I've been fortunate enough to own a MyTouch 3G, Nexus One, Motorola Droid and Incredible. And I've noticed this: On the high res devices running 2.0 plus, the icon is slightly enlarged and blurry. On the lower resolution 1.6 MyTouch 3G the icon is sharp. Hope you can help make our app drawers sexier! Thanks Evernote!
  7. I received notification that there is a new version of Evernote for the Android available in the marketplace, but after downloading, the installation fails with a "Package file was not signed correctly" message. Can anyone else confirm this?
  8. Frustrated... Have written to EVERNOTE 3 times about this, no response. I see others with the same problem, but no solution... or am I missing it? I cannot access my Notes on my Droid. Could before, can't now. EVERNOTE is the only app on my Droid that doesn't work. EVERNOTE on my Macs runs just fine. I get the: "java.lang.IllegalStateException: can't declare any more prefixes in this context" message I need to be able to access my Notes! Can anyone help me? THANKS! Cat
  9. when I try to do an audio note, I get the following error message: Can't start audio recording: java.io.FileNotFoundException:/sdcard/Evernote/ENAUDIO1272488147251. I have a T-Mobile MyTouch, just got it a few days ago. Anyone else had this message/issue?
  10. I'm getting an error message that won't allow me to view notes: "java.langIllegalStateException: can't declare any more prefixes in this context" Any hints?
  11. hey evernote, can you put an "access notes" button on the home page for the mobile app? In this case I'm using android. It's so annoying to have to click the menu button first.
  12. All I want evernote to remember in my mobile is the longitude and latitude info. There is no sign that the GPRS info is obtained successfully. Everytime a write a note, and the close the application, go back home, and find that there is no long and lat info. So Please provide the options to show up the longlat info immedately in the app, if GRPS located my location successful.
  13. Hello, I am hoping someone has a method I can use to accomplish something.... Sometimes I am browsing a website on my phone (HTC Hero / Android 1.5) and I want to save the page in EN. For example, I am reading a blog post and want to go back to it later. I could copy the URL, go to my email client on my phone and send the URL to EN (and even specify a notebook / tag!), but that does not copy the article / webpage itself. It would be great to send EN a URL and have it go and take a snapshot of the webpage at that point in time and create a note out of it. If that could be automated, that would be even better. I thought I ran across a website that did this for you. IE, you gave it a URL and it would send you a PDF (I think) file of the web page. Does anyone know of a way to do this either with EN by itself or with EN + a 3rd party website? Doing the above on my PC is very simple (ie, go to the web page / select all / copy / paste into EN), but sometimes I want to accomplish the same thing when I am just on my phone. Thanks for any ideas or suggestions.
  14. I recently bought an HTC Legend (Android 2.1), and wanted to start using Evernote on it. The app does however not show up in the market (where it should be according to the product page)... anyone experiencing the same? is there a trick i need to learn?
  15. FYI: I've started using other apps on my Android phone because Evernote is too slow to search for notes or download notes. I use "ColorNote" for simple post-it like function for shoppinglists and small "must" remembers and I use Remember The Milk for tasks and also to remember other stuff because it stores locally and then syncs. Ie. if I want to remember a webpage, I write it down in RTM instead of opening Evernote. I WISH I could use Evernote for this instead....but not until there is an offline solution...
  16. Why does Evernote want access to so much of the phone's information? When I go to install it, it wants confirmation of access to my location, personal contact data, phone state and identity. Why? Mike
  17. Hey there, i'm running Evernote 1.3 (70553) on a Motorola Milestone with the 2.1 Android release. the voice recording/replay seems not to be working, i start the recording.. say some stuff, but when i now want to replay the note on my android ('before saving).. there is no audio output at all. after upload, within the web-interface i can listen to my recording, but not on the milestone. my telephone functions are working without a problem!
  18. Hi, I wanted to try the Evernote Android app. I'm using HTC Tattoo but I don't see the application listed on the market when browsed from Tattoo. I'm not surprised because I've seen this before for other apps as well, because some of them are not compatible with Tattoo owing to the small screen size. I got to see them only after the devs updated the app for Tattoo. Could you update your app for Tattoo too please? Thanks Jeenu
  19. Hey folks - We've update the beta for the Android client. Here's a few of the highlights: [*:34ikm6b8]Uses native camera where possible. This means that you can adjust the flash, focus, picture size and other settings using your phone's native camera features. [*:34ikm6b8]Improved pending notes [*:34ikm6b8]Many bug fixes You can download the latest beta at: http://s.evernote.com/androidbeta [NOTE]
  20. Hi there, I have made some audio notes today and had the Droid set to upload them at the office via wireless, but at the office no sync is occuring. Are my notes on the SD Card? I mean, will they remain even if I shut off the phone? At the moment I don't have access to them, only to edit the info card in Pending Notes. It seems like I will need to restart, but don't want to risk any data loss. I have tried to force the sync by changing various settings, etc, but no luck. Any thoughts? Any help would be appreciated!
  21. With the introduction of several Android Devices of varying size this year (Archos, Entourage eDGe, etc), it would be great if Evernote would scale to the screen properly. Currently, it will work on larger screens, but it won't scale, so you end up with a 3" window on a 10" screen. I can't wait to see Evernote on a nice, big Android screen! Thanks!
  22. Been using Evernote on Android for a while now. Have got the latest Beta which has the Share enabled again. Not having offline notes is probably the one thing I would like the most from the app, but I've actually realised its not so bad if you look at it from another angle. On the desktop either at work or at home, I'm constantly moving selected notes/piccies/webpages etc to Evernote. I only copy stuff I know I might want to access from elsewhere. Now my usage of Evernote on Android matches that. I use BugMe (old Palm users will remember BugMe as well as the excellent DiddleBug) for writing quick notes on the screen, phone numbers etc. And I use Easy Note for storing text notes etc. I then go thru occassionally & "Share" selected BugMe, Easy Notes, Piccies etc with Evernote on my phone. Unfortunately the Share function in the new Android beta is a little flaky. From some apps Share works great (Easy Note). while BugMe Share with Evernote simply does not work, when perhaps it should. The only reliable way I've found is using Share with Gmail & emailing to your Evernote email address. That works everytime. Now my usage of the Android Evernote client is more of a quick retrieval of ideas etc. And if I did want to add a notes, snapshot etc etc that option is still available to me thru the Android Evernote client. So offline notes would be awesome, but there are ways around it. And it doesn't make the Android client any less useful. Keep up the good work cheers Daryn
  23. I have created saved searches to list notes in each of my notebooks. For example - notebook:"3 Invoiced".... this search will find all notes under the "3 Invoiced" notebook. The searches work on my PC, but when i run any of the searches on my phone all the notes in every notebook are displayed. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks
  24. My friend claimed his I-Phone Evernote allowed him to take pictures of printed text, and convert it into text files. I watched the Android evernote video, and I've tinkered with it on my android phone for a while, and was wondering if this feature is supported (and if my friend was telling the truth about his I-Phone's evernote). I have the free version, but I'll go ahead and upgrade if it will give me image-to-text conversion. Thanks in advance
  25. I’m having a bit of trouble with tags. It appears as though tags I create with the desktop software (version 3.5.0.862) do not appear on the android app (version 1.3, updated this morning, running on a Motorola Droid). For example, I created a text note called “Test” and I tagged it as “personal” on the desktop. When I open that same note on the android app and select ‘note info’ there is no tag associated with the note. If I select ‘append text’ I have the option of selecting a tag from a list, but the only tags listed are ones I created in the android app. Interestingly, if I type in a tag as a search term the app finds the correct notes so I think the information is there. I’m a noob with evernote so there’s a good possibility that the problem is operator error. I’d appreciate if anyone can help with this. Great software by the way. I’m already using it far more than I expected!
