  1. Hi All, We often see threads/posts from users indicating that they have lost access to their Evernote Account, and are trying to regain that access. This can occur for a myriad of reasons, but generally the issues are related to a user losing or forgetting their password, losing the ability to access Two-Factor Authentication verification, or they lose access to the email address tied to their Evernote Account. Given the nature of these types of access issues, users will need to open a support ticket in order to address the issue and regain access to their Evernote Account. The reason for this is that only our customer support team has access to the tools necessary to make changes to an Evernote Account. Additionally, users may need to provide information that we do not want to make publicly visible in the discussion forums. To open a support ticket, go here. You will be prompted to login to your Evernote Account, but if you do not have your login credentials available, click on Continue as guest. From the What can we help you with? dropdown menu, select the ‘My Account’ category. From the Select a topic dropdown menu, select the type of issue you’re encountering. Once you have selected the topic, you should see the option to submit a support ticket at the bottom of the page. The button looks like this: Once you have submitted the ticket, one of our support agents will reach out to you to further assist you with the issue you’re encountering.
  2. I upgraded my phone from an iPhone 5s to a iPhone 7. I currently have the basic plan, which limits me to two devices. My laptop and a phone. How do I 'approve' or install my new phone as a device and delete the other phone from my account.
Saludos
  4. Hello, I recently imported some S Memo notes from my Samsung S4 application to Evernote but when I go to access the files it just says 'no application found to open this attachment.' I've downloaded a couple of the Google Play apps that are then launched but none of them have worked. I have a Basic Evernote account. Hopefully someone has a solution to this as I really need to access the material on those notes! Thanks
  5. Could someone please tell me whether, after clipping content from a members-only website, it will still be possible to access these clipped notes once I'm no longer a member of that website? I use Evernote in Windows 7 and the Chrome Web Clipper extension. I couldn't find any technical details on the Evernote website or in these forums that explain how Evernote clips/stores notes (i.e. whether I'd still need to log in to the original website in order to view the clipped notes). Your advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  6. I have a secure work environment with evernote installed. But I realized through evernote a user can transfer everything by saving the notes or note books to say desktop and then importing them to a different evernote account. How can I prevent this from happening? Why not allow to create a admin account during installation that allows access to other accounts explicitly? Pretty much like access to a computer with multiple allowed users. Because otherwise the meaning of having a secure desktop with evernote would be impossible.
  7. My math instructor has uploaded livescribe recordings in Evernote. I asked for "permission to access" and she granted it but I still cannot access. I've tried different browsers, different computers, updating my browser. Any suggestions?
  8. I am not sure where this question fits, so I am happy to be guided, or pointed at the right place within the forum. I use Evernote relentlessly for productivity. It would be nice to think "Getting Things Done on Steroids". I keep notes for every action. I regular make lists of notes, and lists of lists etc... for which Evernote is a perfect tool. Because of the way I work, maintaining an overview, and summarising my position is useful. Making a dashboard report out of the various Evernote parameters would be ideal. i.e. How many Notes are there in Notebook_A, how many notes are there tagged with both #TagA and #TagB. Therefore my question is as follows. Is there a way to access these parameters from any useful reporting front-end. This could be either Excel, Access, from within Wordpress, perhaps with shortcodes, or even straight HTML? Has anyone come across, or built any simple reporting application which uses Evernote Parameters to generate summary output that can then be manipulated? Many thanks, Karl.
  9. Have you run into a situation where others cannot access the link you shared in Evernote? If so, how did you solve it?
  10. When on flights and attempting to access my EN on the iPad, some of my material is there -- business as usual, many are not available. Is there a simple fix/setting that I need to consider? Thank you in advance.
  11. Hello, my wife went back to school and I started a premium account for her. She used it for months on her ipad and iphone and loved it. 2 weeks ago she got logged out of her ever-note on her iphone and tried to log back in. Unfortunately she messed up and created a new account instead. Though on her ipad she is still logged in with her premium account (I think we know the login name) but I cannot find the password. Using the reset password function is somehow not working because either: - we used a wrong email when starting the premium account or - by creating the new free account with different name but same email address it got somehow overwritten I cannot use the website for the premium support because I cannot login. Using the free account and sending a support request left me waiting for 2 weeks now without answer. I did sent another request out of the evernote app on the ipad (still logged in as premium) but havent heard anything yet. I also do not know if the support team will answer on the registered email, because then it wouldn't go into Nirvana when it was wrong in the first place. I am afraid logging out of the ever-note app to see her username, because then she will loose all access to her notes. So in short, how do I regain access to the premium account when email is not working? With a premium account I would assume there is a support hotline, but I cannot find any. Any idea how to go from here? Thanks Tom
  12. It would be better if we can have different modes for searches. For example, I can have public/private mode. I configure some notebooks as private. When I present things to my friends in front of the screen, the search is in public mode. So I do not have to worry about showing up some embarrassing notes. When I'm alone and want to find private things, I key in a password and switch the mode. Not sure whether this is doable in alternative ways or whether this is a repeating feature request. Please comment. Thanks.
  13. Is there any way to access files in Evernote on my iPad on the web. Evernote is not responding and I need to use the files.
  14. Hi, everyone. I was about to link my Evernote (OS X app) account to Pocket (OS X app), and I noticed Retrieve Notes in the approval settings. Does anyone know what this means? I'm guessing it's not allowed to retrieve "all" notes, but I'd rather not guess in this case. Thanks for your time. Edit: Screenshot attachment wouldn't upload.
  15. Hello, I have lost my Kindle Fire which had the Evernote app on it. How do I protect against someone else accessing my Evernote info? I have changed my Amazon password along with my Evernote password. I looked at my Device Access setting on evernote.com and it only shows and Android device (which I assume is my smartphone), so I'm hesitant as to whether disabling that device will protect the Kindle access or just kill access to my phone. Thank you for the help!
  16. I've been wondering: is there any clause or method in place to allow us, the Evernote account owners, to legally have our account access released to a single entity, who then requests it with official documentation, in case of our death? In my view, Evernote may be the most important asset I have online. It holds all my thoughts, noted feelings, goals, secret info, important info, and more. I'm trying things with it daily to improve almost every aspect of my life. It has all the information I think is important to my life. I would really like to have my Evernote account and all such information shared with one single entity (person or other) when I die. I read the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, and couldn't find anything on this. I know one way is to share my account login information with anyone I want right now, though I want to treat this kind of like a will and see if Evernote has something legal like this in place or may put a legal clause in somewhere to handle such things when they happen. Any thoughts on this? Thanks!
