  1. I am trying to use Evernote on Windows 8. This is the desktop version, not the Metro (or whatever it's called now) app. My problem is, when I pin the Evernote shortcut to the taskbar, and then try to launch Evernote, I get an error message which says "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher." However, I can launch Evernote into desktop mode from the Win8 start screen. Hopefully that is not too confusing -- I like Windows 8 but this app dichotomy is really too much. It seems like I should be able to run Evernote directly from the taskbar - all my other apps that ran on Windows 7 work just fine that way. Has anyone encountered this issue? P.S. I am using Evernote v4.5.10.7472 and Windows 8 Pro. Thanks, Brian
  2. In the Win8 Store app (Metro) all of my 'attachments' (e.g. a .wav file) which were created by email show up as zero bytes (0B) and thus cannot be opened. In the Win8 Desktop version the attachments show up but won't launch a Store app who accepts launch-by-file-type. The Store app selection shows up just fine but when selected, nothing happens. = Michael Lehman = Chief App Developer/Consultant and Managing Director = DreamTimeStudioZ, LLC = www.dreamtimestudioz.com
  3. I am a windows 8 user in china, I saw evernote for win8 in win8 app store before. But recently I want to download the evernote appliaction from the win8 app store, but I could not find it! I didn't edit the preference in the app store, all the settings are default(both option are "false" now). I don't know why? Waiting for help. Thanks.
  4. Good Day I've been using Everntoe faithfully for the longest time and love it. I just got a Surface RT and was glad to see Evernote available for it. Unfortunately, my excitement turned to despair as it seems that the app does not sync in the background. I have over 6000 notes and it seems that after the screen goes dark, it stops syncing. If I leave the app and do something else on the computer, it seems to stop syncing as well. Is there a way around this?
  5. Very disappointed to see that Evernote is unable to edit notes created on my desktop in Rich Text. When will this feature be added?
  6. I'm a faithful Evernote user on Android, iOS, Mac and Windows. I recently was working from home and using Evernote in Windows 8 Metro to make notes. When I got to my work computer, my notes were missing. Is Evernote not syncing automatically with Windows 8? I'm stuck where now I have to drive home to get my Windows 8 laptop so I can upload the notes to Skydrive so I'm prepared for my meeting. Anyone else experiencing this?
  7. I got some questions about Evernote's RT app. I am a Windows Phone use and I'm looking forward on getting a Windows 8 Tablet as soon as I can, they are awesome . This situation makes me wonder if staying at Evernote is the best for me. I love Evernote, its customer support and the community around it but I've been testing these 2 apps for a while and I think OneNote MX is a lot more powerful than its counterpart so far. So I'm here to see and find some of your opinions, what do you think about new windows 8 tablets and OneNote MX vs Evernote for WinRT?
  8. How can I add Evernote clip button in Windows8 metro style app?
  9. Hello, I'm using the evernote desktop version on Windows 8 RTM. Everything seems to be working fine, except for the clipping functionality, which does not work at all (Windows KEY + PrintScreen). Has anyone experienced the same issue? Mc
  10. I have recently installed the full Evernote on my Windows 8 Consumer Preview system (as opposed to the Evernote from the App Store...). Everything seems to be working well except for the Import folder (or watch folder) functionality. I use it constantly for scanned documents and it is working very well on a Windows 7 system. Has anyone successfully used this feature on Windows 8 yet? Is there a setting somewhere I am missing? Thanks!
  11. Hi folks! My name is Nazmus, and if you do not know yet, there seems to be a special version of Evernote for Windows 8 coming soon! This version will only work on Windows 8 (not Windows 7 or earlier) and be available through the Windows 8 App Store. As with all new Windows 8 "metro style" apps, this app is designed for both touch and mouse/keyboard. It will also run fullscreen and will be more enjoyable to use! Here's quick preview of the WIndows Store. You can see a big Evernote for Windows 8 tile. Note, this is NOT the Evernote for Windows 7, but rather, it is a completely, new, and redesigned app! Windows 8 Beta arrives late February of 2012, when we would expect to see this app be available for download.
