  1. No longer able to access the “Food” app after upgrading to iOS 11 on my iPad. Receiving message that developer needs to update app however there are no updates available in the App Store. I have 150+ recipes that appear to be lost forever, please help.
  2. Hi, I have many old evernote food notes which worked just fine as regular notes, however lately I noticed that the pictures disappear upon note opening. Restoring a previous version seems to restore the pictures, but I am worried this might corrupt these old notes irreversibly. Did anybody else have this problem? I am using Version 6.9 Beta 2 (453896 Direct) for Mac, however I checked the web version and the notes are corrupted there as well. Thanks! Giovanni
  3. When I used Evernote Food there was a nice feature of preventing default lock of the screen when preparing food based on a recipe. How can I do the same in Evernote - prevent from locking temporary while using a recipe? Certainly I do not want to do in in iPhone settings each time.
  4. Hi! I try to keep track of which recipes I use from day to day, and I have been doing this by copying a note link from my recipe in Evernote into an index note where I can see what we've had for dinner and go directly to a recipe if we want to revisit it. It is a bit of a hassle to do the copying, scrolling and appending, so I thought I'd try Zapier to automate this task. By using the reminder function (I don't use it for anything else), I could automatically send a recipe to the index note with link and date - great! Unfortunately, this only works the first time you set the reminder. Even if you delete the reminder, Zapier will not trigger again for a note that has triggered a reminder event once, and I'm back with manual link copying again. Does anyone know about a better app/web service that can help to keep a log like this without having to go through all that copying and pasting? -B-

  9. Making Cranberry Pistachio Dark Chocolate Bark today as an Xmas Open House present for tomorrow. Used Article Clip to clip the original recipe. Just tested using Clearly for the clip. That also worked fine, but, I would delete the comments from the note after I clipped it. https://www.evernote...41399ef1838692e
  10. I love the Food app and am using it partly to record wine and beer, but having an app that was specifically designed for the category would fit better and could have specific fields for things like year, type, tasting notes, and a scoring system.
  11. Update: I am happy to announce that Grocerytrip is now available for download on the App Store! Download Grocerytrip on the App Store ----- The amount of interest and excitement Grocerytrip has received since being awarded Best for Food And Cooking at Devcup 2013 has been overwhelming. As the launch date approaches, I wanted to offer thanks for the support and answer some common questions I have received from the Evernote Community. What is Grocerytrip and How Does It Work? Grocerytrip is the only iPhone app that turns your Evernote recipes into a neatly organized grocery list. Grocerytrip is designed to be easy to use - just tag some recipes with "grocerytrip" and launch the app. Recipe ingredients are automatically downloaded, sorted into aisles, and formatted for an easy shopping experience. Grocerytrip also works with other things you have saved in Evernote: meal plans, grocery lists, or anything else you might find on a shopping list. ----- When will Grocerytrip Be Available on the App Store? I've been hard at work overhauling the design of Grocerytrip so it will work and look great on iOS 7. Now, the moment many have been asking about is almost here: I received an email from Apple saying that Grocerytrip's status has been changed to "In Review". So if all goes well, it should be available for download this Wednesday, September 18! ----- How Much Will Grocerytrip Cost? As a way of saying thanks to all the early supporters in the Evernote Community, Grocerytrip will be launched with the special introductory price of $2.99 (USD). This will be a limited time offer, so sign up for an email alert if you don't want to miss out. ----- How Can I Learn More About Grocerytrip? If you would like to learn more about Grocerytrip, please visit my website. There you can find a video demonstrating how to add a week's worth of groceries to your list in under a minute, along with a sneak peak of how Grocerytrip will look on iOS 7. NOTE: Please feel free to use this post as a place to ask any questions about Grocerytrip, how it works, or to find out if Grocerytrip is the right choice for you. Ask me anything!
  12. It'd be really handy if I could update food and hello notes in the main app. Are there plans to allow this, please?
  13. Hi, I'm using Evernote and Evernote Food on my Android, and added a recipe in Food - and it gets duplicated over and over and over again in my main Evernote notebook. ^^ So far I deleted some 20 of the same note but it gets duplicated again. Is this a known bug, or did I do something wrong? Cheers, Din
  14. Introducing the unofficial eGullet.org Culinary Institute (eGCI) Evernote Notebook! As a culinary professional, Drew Vogel (www.drewvogel.com) was very interested in working through the articles and discussions in eGullet's Culinary Institute (http://forums.egullet.org/forum/108-the-egullet-culinary-institute-egci/), and was interested in using Evernote for offline access to that material. And so, the unofficial eGCI Evernote Notebook was born! This notebook features all of the world-class articles (90 articles!) and discussions from the eGullet.ORG series, a Table of Contents, and instructions for use all in one convenient Evernote Notebook. https://www.evernote.com/pub/vogelap/egci Check it out and let me know what you think. (I do not own the information contained in the notebook. All credit goes to eGCI.)
  15. I have SOOOOOO many recipes between web clippings, magazine clippings and typed up ones I just started using Evernote as my main organizer for all of them but I don't know what is the best way to Tag them For instance I have Lemon Monkey Bread, would I tag it "Lemon" "Monkey Bread" "Lemon Monkey Bread" is that to many or to few lol Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated :-) Thank you!
  16. I have a Premium membership. I have a bunch of EN Notes with a "Food" tag, the very SAME tag I apply to recipes in EN Food. Almost none of them appear in EN Food, where I now want them. Clearly the programmers for Food have other, proprietary requirements for porting to Food. For the many Food-tagged notes in EN, what must I do to port them into EN Food? Will it be necessary to copy and paste from the original EN note into a new "My Cookbook" note? Please tell me there's an easier, more direct way.
  17. Is there a way to hide evernote food entries from the evernote mac client? I see the following menu, but am unable to deselect food entries:
  18. Hello! First I would like to thank you for an wonderful app. There is one thing though that bothers me. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (Android) and I use Evernote + Evernote Food. Evernote Food works excellent but when I open/view a "Food"-note with pictrures in Evernote (android app) it lags ALOT when you scroll through the note. It's not smooth at all. I've been talking with some other user with different phones and they have the same problem. If you check/open the note in Evernote Food it works excellent. Is this a known problem for you guys? Something you're working on? If it's not I hope you can fix this as soon as possible. It's pretty annoying when you show someone your food-note and it just lags all the way through the scrolling. Anyone else having this problem? Best regards, Daniel.

  20. If you're like me, entertaining is a big part of your "Food" experience, and a huge part of entertaining can be getting the right cocktail. Here's an offering from Amazon that can help with that. http://www.amazon.co...om&linkCode=as1 I challenge anyone that grabs this book to post their own cocktail recipes. With pictures. 24. I've been using Evernote on my iPad while cooking in the kitchen. I must start by saying that I cook 3-4 times a month. I normally do really simple stuff and I almost always double or triple check ingredients while cooking. I was wondering if any other users had tip and tricks. Here are a couple that have helped me: • Once I've added a recipe, I specify the type of food it is in the tags • I clean up the ingredients area and add any conversions I foresee • In the directions part of the recipe, I type in the amounts next to the ingredient it's telling me to use. (This is super helpful in long recipes so I don't have to scroll to the top) • I've been placing my iPad in a Ziplock bag. I have a foodsaver that I plan on trying once, but I'm scared it'll suck the inner parts of my iPad out! I love to hear from other users!
  25. My friends and I recently had Brunchapalooza! It was an awesome event with a lot of delicious food (lavender polenta cake, corned beef hash, goat cheese quiche, mango mimosa floats!) and as usual, everyone started asking for everyone's recipes by the end of it. So I set up a shared Evernote notebook for party recipes so that each guest could submit their recipes and pics of the event (in addition to the ones I took with Evernote Food). I don't know why I didn't think of this months ago. Does anybody else share recipe notebooks with friends or family and if so, how's it working out and how is it set up?
