@Mike P exactly! This slight enhancement will make Evernote so much powerful. I use it as a my second brain only due to the fact that it allows for both capturing tasks and filing information. It's a powerful combination that not so many apps support. I tried Notion for a while but Evernote's mature capturing capabilities are so intuitive and simple. Yet on the task side of things capturing a task without a due date kind of misses the whole point. I'm really missing the ability to add due dates directly from the web clipper. My current user flow is very annoying. Add a task via web clipper when clipping, wait for the clipping action to end, open the note, add a due date. Waste of precious time. This could be easily fixed by adding a due date field to the web clipper task UI.

I'm having the same issue - it was concerning to me until I read this thread. I think it would be good to communicate to all users the expected delay when opening notes in old structure for the first time as it may reduce their level of stress.

Dear Evernote Team, I am an avid user of Evernote and its associated tools, and I am particularly fond of the Evernote Web Clipper. It has streamlined my online research and note-taking process and I'm very grateful for this tool. That said, I'd like to suggest an enhancement that I believe would significantly increase the utility and user experience of the Web Clipper: Ability to set task due dates. Given the existing functionality of creating and managing tasks within Evernote and Web Clipper, it would be incredibly helpful if we could also set due dates for these tasks directly from the Web Clipper interface. This would allow for more efficient workflow management, as one could set deadlines for tasks while capturing content from the web. This feature would seamlessly blend the utility of task management with the efficiency of web clipping, making the overall Evernote experience more cohesive and productive.
