I have this issue on Chrome and also on the Evernote App on a Macbook and most recently iPad Pro 20. It's making duplicate notes now every time I add something rather than syncing

Same here. There was a long thread on this in Sept that was closed with no info explaining why it's happening or if there's a fix.
