  1. That's certainly true and often times I have to use a different program to make notes. However, it would be hugely beneficial to not have to do this. The ability to simplify my work flow when studying by creating, organising and viewing all my notes in the one place and in the same format would be an incredibly powerful productivity tool.
  2. Hi, I'm a university student and I use Evernote for all of my notetaking throughout the semester (in-class notes, textbook summaries, exam notes, practice questions etc). I would really like to be able to create a table of contents inside an individual note which contains links to sections in that note. Similarly, i would like to be able to link to sections in a note rather than only being able to link to entire notes. At the moment you can't create sections in an individual note, nor can you create links that navigate to a particular part (i.e. a heading) in an individual note, nor is there anyway to create a contents table that allows you to navigate (and visualise) the different sections and headers in an individual note. I think this is a significant feature lacking from Evernote, particular for students using Evernotes. In the context of 'open book' take home exams and online tests (which universities have shift to since COVID) when time is limited, it would be very helpful to be able to quickly navigate to a particular section of a note. I don't want to waste time scrolling through notes to find the relevant section. The search function can be helpful, but only if you know a key term to search for which may not always be the case in the context of university subject. Being able to create a table of contents (that contains links to sections in a note) would also be really helpful in terms of being able to open a note and see exactly what sections that note contains and quickly navigate to the relevant section. This would save time and allow students to quickly identify which notes contain the specific topic, sub-topic, example or case study that they are looking for. I already create an overview of the contents of a note at the start of each note, however, I want this to be point from which I can jump to the relevant section in the note rather than being simply a list of the primary, medium and small headers that are found in the note. I think the way I use Evernote for university is likely similar to many other students. I create a notebook for each unit of study I complete. Within that notebook I have a wide variety of different types of notes and I can organise these effectively with tags, however, there is limited capacity to organise the content of an individual note. If I am taken notes on a given tutorial I want to be able to easily navigate the notes for that tutorial through links to the sections (identified by primary headers) that are found in that note. I don't want to have to create 10 different individual notes for one tutorial (each containing a different section) and then create another document which I build a contents table in with links to each section (individual notes) for the one tutorial. One major reason for this is that often times (i.e. when searching for particular content like a specific example) I will want to navigate to a given section of an individual note as a starting point for my search and then I want to keep scrolling through the note and the following sections. As Evernote does not currently allow users to create sections and internal links to sections or an internal contents table for an individual note, this can not be achieved.
