After 8 years or so of using Evernote legacy the devs pushed their new version. Evernote legacy was for us a perfect program, never problems and perfect for our business. Well, as it was no longer supported we had to update to the newest version. And boy does it suck. Its slow as hell and most importantly it keeps crashing every 5 minutes needing a reboot. Anyone have a fix for this problem? WE heavilly rely on evernote and its giving me an aneurysm atm. Hope someone can help us

We will leave evernote too if legacy stops working. More than half the documents we scanned cant be found via V10 evernote. Legacy finds so much more document. We sometimes need to find Documents from 2017 and older.... For this one search term i found 15 HITS with legacy and only 3 with the new version. And are they really removing import folders in the new version?

No it's not that the files are'nt in the system, its just that they can't be found using the search option. I just downloaded legacy on a fresh laptop and it found everyting back to 2016 when we started scanning everything. It's super weird

Ok but still, these notes that only legacy can find are from 2020 or some even older than that.

Yes, everything is scanend as a searchable pdf. I'll make a ticket for EN support as well. Im curious what your ticket results will show as well.

You'd think the developers would have a solution for this by now. I've been reading up on it today and it seems a bigger problem in the community.

Yep, its really unsettling eh! I soley rely on the results to pop up, as if it doesn't pop up i just rely on it that it just doesn't exist.

Thats the funny part. The PC station with Evernote legacy on it is the PC that has nothing to do with uploading or scanning our documents. It's merely a laptop with evernote legacy on it that is being synchronized. An extra example of how frustrating this is: I scan documents on the new version and it gets synchronised. If i try and search on one word from that document i cannot find it in the new version of evernote OR in the web client. But if i go on legacy it can find the document instantly. Actually the only thing we can do is install legacy and hope it will run for ever and never get taken down. Cause if we cant search in our documents our entire structure, how we do things, will collapse...

It feels like there are tons and tons of documents im not able to find anymore. If you look at the images i posted, i only used one word and get only one result instead of the 6 results on the previous version.

Hmm but you'd think that if i'd search via the web version there wouldnt be any problem right? I can only find certain documents via old evernote versions. Web version had the same problem as newer versions.

Ok i will try to give more complete information: We are a shop that sells products. These product are sent to us and we scan the doccuments, invoices credit forms etc etc. I.E. i search for a Name. I just type in the searchbar the name of the client. If i do this the text recognizing software from evernote will usually flawlessly find the scanned documents containing this name. In some cases though the same search request does not find the same results. Some scanned documents can only be found on the older evernote version. Hope the pictures help. As you can see there are more search results on the older version than the new. I cant find all my old documents if i update the version of evernote.

Dear Evernote users / developers. We're encountering a very annoying problem. On our new windows 10 + 11 PC's the newest version of evernote is installed. If i search for a specific phraze in our notebook on the newest version of evernote i doesn't give me all the notes that an older version of evernote DOES show on an older workstation. This means i cannot locate important files via webversion or newer versions of evernote that i CAN find on the older version. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi, I have the same problem. I used to click on the notebook before scanning and the scan would automaticly go to the selected notebook. Since the update it scans to the default notebook. and i can't find a way to scan to another.. anybody knows how to do it? WINDOWS PC evernote 10.28.3
