Thanks all for the advice. I actually discovered (by luck) that it was in fact a space in the filename immediately before the .pdf suffix that caused it. The original file name was 20210815 .pdf and caused the problem. Renaming the file to 20210815.pdf solved the problem.

When trying to import certain PDFs, specifically bank statements, I get the message... This is not all PDFs, most PDFs import fine. It's just statements from this particular bank. The PDFs in question can also be opened by Adobe Reader and other PDF tools without problem. Can anybody help? Colin
