Sorting By Tags is an essential feature for those who follow David Allen's GTD method (Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity). His best-selling book suggests how to implement these methods, and an approach based on Evernote is suggested on thesecretweapon.org web site. Ever since Evernote removed sorting by tags, this approach is now broken. Because evernote was my primary tool for GTD, I have also stopped using it for note taking.
