multi-select of notes
Brendan Murphy replied to stocky2605's question in Evernote for iOS Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
I’d like to be able to merge notes which would require the ability to select multiple notes from a list. Like many email programs where you can edit the list and select multiple emails and take actions on them. -
Is there a way to create an Apple shortcut that will open a specific Evernote note? I've been playing around with it but haven't figured out a way. I wish there was an Evernote action to open a note, but since there isn't, I'm guessing I need to come up with some URL based workaround. Anyone had any luck with this?

Stuck on importing...
Brendan Murphy replied to buckethead's topic in Evernote for iOS Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
@Twitchly, did you lose the notes that were pending import when you did this? -

Evernote for iOS version 10.6 Release notes
Brendan Murphy replied to Shane D.'s topic in Release Notes (iOS)
@Shane D. on this post you said the import clips issue was fixed with this release. I have upgraded both my iPhone and iPad to the latest mobile app, but I have clips that still aren't importing. Do I really have to delete the apps and reinstall them to resolve this??? Between the 2 apps I have 25 clips I will lose. -
v10.8.5 Killed PDF View As
Brendan Murphy replied to Madflute's topic in Evernote for Mac Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
You can use Preview to split the document. Just copy the pages you want to create a new document with, then select File -> New From Clipboard and it will create a new document with just the copied pages. -
v10.8.5 Killed PDF View As
Brendan Murphy replied to Madflute's topic in Evernote for Mac Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
How large is your PDF? For really large PDFs, you lose the "View As" option. I don't remember what the threshold is, but I think it's around 20 or 25 MB. Also, the latest version is 10.9.10, so you may want to try and upgrading to that to see if it resolves your issue. -
[Fixed in Version 10.6] Continuous Release Note Pop-Up
Brendan Murphy replied to Don0819's question in Desktop Answers/Solutions Archive
I'm noticing this as well. I thought maybe I just forgot to close it, but after the 3rd time I realized it wasn't me. -
Quotes as new content blocks
Brendan Murphy replied to AntonAL's question in Evernote for Mac Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
Good idea. This would be really helpful. -
You can reinstall the Legacy version and it will have all the features you were used to. Install an older version of Evernote

Huh? Tom, they haven't been silent for 3 months. They have pushed out numerous updates since the initial v10 release, almost on a bi-weekly basis. That's not silence. And the fact that they have been able to push out those updates so quickly is proof that the direction the current CEO has taken them on is working. He has been very open and honest since beginning this rebuild process. Did you read the recent blog post?

Restore Multiple Tabs
Brendan Murphy replied to mrlsanganeria's question in Evernote for Mac Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
Calling Evernote 10 a "new version" of Evernote is a bit of a misnomer. It's really a whole new platform that has been rebuilt from the ground up for many reasons. As part of that, they didn't try and recreate every single feature of the Legacy version right out of the gate. If you want to get a better understanding of why it is the way it is currently, here's an interview the CEO did a few months back that explains where things are at and where they are heading. Evernote’s CEO on the company’s long, tricky journey to fix itself. There was also a recent blog post on the current state of the product, what's gone well and what hasn't, and what they are currently focusing on. To see what features are coming next, the release notes include a section called Coming Soon that lists those. As far as getting tabs back, the only way to do this is to install the Legacy version of Evernote. If tabs is a big part of your workflow, then you may want to stick with this version for the time being. -
PDF Attachment Expanding
Brendan Murphy replied to flyg's topic in Evernote for Windows Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
I have the same question. I was wondering if it was related to a security setting in a particular PDF, but the size observation makes sense. I'll have to see how big the PDFs are that I have that won't expand. Is there a feature request to allow bigger PDFs to show inline? I couldn't find one. -
Merging notes is still broken!!!
Brendan Murphy replied to iMarc's topic in Evernote for Mac Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
In the App Store, I noticed I would have to go search for Evernote, then open the app page. Then I'd see the option to update. It seemed to take some time before it showed up in the "Updates" section of the App Store. -

Merging notes is still broken!!!
Brendan Murphy replied to iMarc's topic in Evernote for Mac Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
The latest App Store release is 10.5.6. It sounds like 10.5.7 was just released today. There will be a delay before you see that version on the App Store as Apple has to review it and approve it first. If you want to get the releases as soon as they are available, you can download it directly from Evernote. -

Are you part of the beta program? I don't see that update.
