About Spligpoot

  1. I've just successfully downloaded and installed a previous version from a link you coincidentally supplied from another thread. I’m just bracing myself if I have to upgrade to 5.0.3! Thanks very much for your help and hopefully it will be plain sailing from now on.
  2. Yes, after installing the new MS Office, Kaspersky seemed to have screwed up the drivers for the USB keyboard & mouse leaving the machine useless despite using Windows repair tool. Basically, after executing Evernote 5.0.3 file it unpacks Evernote.msi into the temp folder but recognises as it the wrong Evernote.msi and asks me where the relevant Evernote.msi. I point it towards the one it has unpacked but as the message box says, it says it's the wrong one because it's Evernote 5.0.2!
  3. I've tried a new download and moving the file but it still comes up with the same message. I have installed it on the machine before the OS had to be reinstalled hence the reason for having to install it again. Thanks.
  4. Hi, I'm trying to install Evernote on my machine at work. During the installation process a box asking me to locate Evernote.msi since it can't find it in the temp folder. However, it is there but when I choose the file this box [please find attached] appears. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks.
  5. Thanks very much. I have now sent them a support request.
  6. Hi, It's been a while since my last reply in this thread but unfortunately my problem still stands. Can someone please advise me on the best way to contact Evernote to get a solid confirmation on whether a feature that does not work is because there is something wrong or it's simply not available on the Android platform? I don't have a premium account because even though I use Evernote everyday, I just use one Notebook in a simple way. However, if I will get a more direct answer then I'll consider upgrading to premium for this purpose. As it stands, I use one Notebook with about 5 notes. Most of these notes are filled out with a table made up of 5 columns & 2 rows. Within these tables I just type text with bullet/numbered points. It's my way of making individual lists that spread accross a note. The bullets/numbered points all work fine within the tables on the Windows & Apple platforms but not on Android. They do work in Android if they're not within a table because the option on the edit bar then becomes available. Is this simply a limtiation on Android or is there something wrong. I have this issue on both of my Android devices. I also have an issue with text size on Android but that's another thread! Thanks very much for your attention and hope you can help me.
  7. Thanks for your help. It made me think there maybe something wrong with my own notes instead of the app so I've just created a new note and hey-presto the bullet and number options are available but only on that note. This must mean Evernote on Android does not like something in my notes and takes away these options as a result. That something seems to be the tables I create. I use them so I can make about 4 numbered lists (4 column tables) across the note thus seeing the lists together on the screen instead having to keep scrolling up and down all the time to see a particular list. As mentioned before, my wife's iPad seems to be happy with this set-up....damn it. That's one to Apple and nothing to Android! Is there any other way of having numerous lists across the screen instead of beneath each other on the Android app whilst keeping the bullet and number options? Thanks again for your help.
  8. Hi, In editing, there isn't any option to continue or create numbered or bullet lists. E.g. I have a numbered list that I created on my windows PC but when trying to add to it on my Android phone by tapping the the return key, it just goes to the next line without creating the next number. If I want to create a new list, there's no option to choose as well. Does it depend on the version of Android (I have Jellybean) and/or phone? I installed Evernote on a crappy tablet (Disgo 8104) that I got free and that is the same. On my wife's iPad 3, the options ARE there and the return key produces the expected result. Am I doing something wrong such as not installing an office suite of some sort? Thanks very much and hope you can help.
  9. Thanks very much for your reply and help. I didn't know Miriam was Hebrew, does that mean it's not a standard font? I just picked it in Evernote because it seemed to be the best one to combine smallness and clarity. Just to test, I changed all the text in a note to standard arial hoping Android would update to it as well but unfortuantely made no difference. I'm really stumped with this. All I want is to have all the text the same and as small as possible. Thanks again.
  10. Hi, I only use a PC to edit my Evernote now since I find it too limited on my Android phone because I like to use numbering and bullet points however I still use it to view but this has become frustrating because of the reason for starting this topic: The only font and size I use is Miriam 8. I don't know if it's possible to go smaller but the reason for doing so is so that I can see as much as possible on the screen without scrolling especially on my phone. For some reason there is a mish-mash of text sizes within notes which is really annoying because they obviuosly make the size of each note larger and therefore have to keep scrolling more. This problem is only on Android. I have only edited the notes using a PC within the Evernote application and the default text and size is set to Miriam 8. Can anyone please explain why it is doing this and if it's possible to correct the problem? Thanks very much and really hope you can help.
  11. Hi, I have version 3.6 on a HTC HD Desire. I've noticed recently and I'm only assuming it's because of any recent update, I can't shrink the screen as small as I use to. Therefore I can no longer see as much as I use to without sliding the page around. This is important to me. Is this a known fact or could it have something to do with my Android OS instead? I can't see any settings that might correct this. Thanks very much and hope you can help.
