  1. Thank you. That does work on the Mac. Unfortunately on the iPad and iPhone it does not. If I go into "Search in note" and clear the search string it greys out the entire note. Can't see it or write in it. Starting to edit the note does clear the search string highlights. A bit klunky but better than nothing.
  2. Evernote, this is a really annoying thing, and the work-around mentioned above doesn't work on a tablet. PLEASE GIVE US A NEAT CLEAN WAY TO TURN OFF SEARCH TERM HIGHLIGHTING IN A NOTE!
  3. I'm hoping someone from Evernote will reply and record this as something to fix. In all these years, they still haven't gotten the search capabilities really usable, in spite of constant tweaking. Once I've found the note I want, I want to be able to read it and work on it without the search terms highlighted. There should be an easy way to do that. Another flaw in the search function is even tho the search terms are highlighted, there isn't a "go to next" button to keep moving down the note to see subsequent search term appearances. You have to scroll-scroll-scroll instead. Very primitive. If you select "search in note" (which is well hidden and awkward to get to) then it has next and previous buttons. Keep trying, Evernote!
  4. I have the same question! I tried clearing the search field, but that made the note disappear! 1. IS THERE AN EASY WAY TO UN-HIGHLIGHT THE SEARCH TERM? 2. WHY DOES CLEARING THE SEARCH FIELD MAKE THE SEARCH RESULTS LIST DISAPPEAR? I find it very frustrating. Thx
