  1. The Android mobile update yesterday seems to have fixed this problem for me. Playback for any newly created audio notes works as expected again. And while there seems to be a minor caveat in that those audio notes recorded while this problem existed still had to be downloaded to be played, the good news is there is a also solution for that caveat. Given the way I use these, it was in my interest to figure out how to get those audio note .aac files to be playable in app again. To do that, I had to create a new note for each non-audio-file-playable note, download the .aac audio file(s) from the old non-playable note, then upload same audio file(s) to the new note. You should then see the audio file appear in the new note with the blue play button once again. Hope this helps. Thanks to everyone here for your discussion, workarounds, and for notifying Evernote of the problem.
  2. Yes, thank you, @oscarguzval, this does work well as a workaround, so thank you very much for posting it here. There were updates to Evernote today for both Android and Mac, but they did not address fixing this problem yet.
  3. Running Evernote Android version 10.50.2 on a Pixel 7, and Evernote Mac version 10.55.2 on a Mac mini M1. Here to report having the same, very aggravating, problem: I can still record .aac audio in Android Evernote, but it will not play back those same .aac audio files. On Mac Evernote, those files appear the same way, with the paperclip icon, and you again can't play them in Evernote, you can only Save As or Open in some other audio player. As recently as April 13th, I was having no problem with this. In fact, in older notes that also contain .aac audio files recorded in Evernote, I have no problem playing those in either the Android or Mac apps.
  4. Ah, this is a helpful suggestion, and gives me a direction to point the interwebs in. I generally use Firefox, but I also could use Chrome or Safari for this, if needed. My computer is an M1 Mac mini. That said, after research starting from you initial suggestion, unfortunately it appears no browser will play an AAC file without it being wrapped in an MP4 container. Of course there's no problem if you download it or save it somewhere an audio app could find, but I was hoping to skip that step. So I suppose this is one of the limitations of using the Evernote web client instead of the app version of Evernote for your particular PC type. Thank you PinkElephant for your suggestion. If anyone else comes up with further information, please feel free to include here.
  5. When clicking on a saved audio file in the web client, the only two options are Save and Rename. I've seen this problem come up in the forums for several years but still with no adequate response or fix. No, I have no interest in having my Evernote become a Spotify replacement. I just want to be able to listen to audio notes I've captured in Android Evernote later on the same computer as my digital audio workstation.
  6. Having the same problem trying to open any note, new or old, in Android app Android app version 10.25 on a Pixel 2. Error loading page Domain: undefined Error Code: 4 Description: SSL error: The date of the certificate is invalid Online version of Evernote through Firefox browser seems to be working fine.
  7. Version 10.25. Getting this same error as of this morning, for any note I try to open old or new.
