It's only an Android issue. This was mentioned in a memo called "What's new in Evernote for Android". It was at the bottom of a section called Overview: "In addition, we’ve added a few new controls, such as the ability to toggle light and dark mode independent of your device settings and a view-only mode to prevent accidental edits to your notes." So this view-only was done intentionally! Stupidest idea ever!!! None of the fixes mentioned work consistently. STAFF, please just undo the last update and take us back to the previous version. Then work on the fix. When fixed, issue a new update if you want.
