  1. Hi All,

Oh dear! I don't normally update until a version has been around a while. Unfortunately I made a bad decision when away on business and updated!

I have over 32,000 Notes and probably half of those contain emails.

The upgrade has stripped a lot of the headers from the emails and placed them at the top of the Note. Sad thing is, no amount of updates will get this one sorted.

Feeling very miffed at this one.

    Regards

    Chris

  2. Hi bobebo67,

    Thanks for coming back.

I have just checked on my MacBookPro and like you I cannot see the title when I go to pdf preview. There is obviously something different with my iMac. I am away from home for the week, so cannot check why this is.

However, it may be because I have a pdf writer on the iMac, or the fact that the MBP is an older one with an older OS.

Hopefully Evernote will solve the problem soon.

    Regards

    Chris

  3. I am also sad that Food has been removed, it was indeed a great app. Simply to remember those great locations and meals we had as we travelled.

Some of you techie folks out there, must be able to create an add in for Evernote? Better that, than having yet another app on my phone, and computers.

I wonder if the problem here is that Evernote, didn't ask it's customers if they wanted Food? If they did, I for one would love to see the results of that survey. If the percentages where low, then I guess there is nothing which can be done. At the end of the day it is all about numbers.

    Regards

  4. Hi Alan,

I have just dropped the latest version of Maximizer having been a user since it was a dos package.

To be honest, it was getting so unwieldy and power hungry I gave up trying. Every time I bought a new Windows computer with the latest OS I had to change to a new version. I assessed the cloud version, but it was to honest totally useless and very costly.

The solution I found was Microsoft's Business Contact Manager - BCM - which is a part of Outlook. I imported all my contacts and have been amazed at just how good this is. I tend to not bother keeping many notes in it, but continue to use Evernote for all my Note and customer contact information.

    Best regards

  5. Had a very quick look at fileone, but a few things bother me.

I think it looks very amateurish and new.

It appears to me that Regatzo works for the company or maybe is the company. I believe he/she should have stated that in the post.

For me, I need to use Outlook as it is my main means of contact.

Be good to see if it continues to get developed.

    Best regards

  6. I'm working on an alternative system. If you'd like to be a beta tester visit http://lotsofjots.com. Click on the Create an account link and request an invitation code.

Some of the things that make it unique from Evernote are: 1) Nested pages, 2) Reuse content on multiple pages, 3) Integrated drawing, 4) Integrated date-based journaling, 5) Split-pane viewing/editing.

That link takes you to a sign in or create new account page. Yet there is no information on what the software does.

Do you have a website with that information.

    Best regards

  7. If you have a need to see information in multiple Notes then you need to copy the Note and paste a link to it.

So for example if I have a Note about a customer enquiry and want to include a pdf of the product they are interested in, there are times it is easier to keep a link to the pdf in the same Note. - I have a lot of pdf's within Evernote of products I need to refer to wherever I am.

Or maybe I want to include a link to a Note on an enquiry from another customer who asked the same thing.

By right clicking the link you can then open the Note in a new window. If necessary you can work on it and the changes will be seen wherever you have a link to the Note.

I use this feature a lot as it saves me having to search for specific information.

    Best regards

  8.

Have you done anything to help yourself?

See?This is exactly why I am coming to completely hate these apps. Dropbox is the SAME WAY. When you have a problem, it's your fault, you're not doing enough, and you should quit griping. You are being patronizing when I have a completely legitimate gripe: your app does not deliver the service it promises to provide. And so here I am, wasting all of my time trying to figure out YOUR PROBLEM.

And in answer to your query, I am on this board right now, am I not? AS a matter of fact, again: I'm wasting my precious time, responding to your condescension and unjustified irritation at my concern about the fact that Evernote does not work.

The fact is this: I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CHECK ANYTHING. Evernote should work as promised. And if you think that's unreasonable, then you really do not understand the nature of app marketing and branding these days...... the apps that work well, in delightful ways, with no questions asked, are the ones that will remain in years to come.

And by the way, I use plenty of apps that work as promised, they've worked for years as promised, and I never have to run around trying to figure out deal=breaker problems that literally bring my work to a halt.

A very sad reaction from someone who has been offered help by some very experienced users.

As they say, you can lead a horse to water......

If you should decide to give us the extra information we require, perhaps we might be able to help you.

I do wonder if you have done as suggested by Metrodon and checked if you data is on the web? If not, you are not syncing properly. If it is the chances are you may have two different accounts or any number of other things that users sometimes get wrong.

But at risk of offending you any more I will wish you good luck in a search for what appears to have gone wrong with YOUR Evernote.

    Best regards

  9. Hi jOK,

Welcome to the forum. I have read both your post and understand your frustration. It would have been better to have this on your own thread.

But lets start the ball rolling on here.

In the first instance your opening statement seems to imply that you think your computers will sync together? This is not the case. Your account will sync to the web and each device needs to syn after that, giving you the information on each device.

Can you let us know if you synced after inputting on your Macbook?

    Best regards

    Chris

  10. Anyway!

I have only looked as far back as the last page so a message for Shanezam203.

For your DVD collection check out DVD Profiler.

    http://www.invelos.com/

I have many thousands of DVD's and you either type in the number shown on the bar code, put the DVD in your computer or just type the name of the movie and it will bring up a list of DVD's that it already has on it's database. Select the correct one and you have now listed your DVD.

You can easily search by any criteria, genre, actor, part of title etc.

Keep your DVD's in these cases which are marked 1 - 100. I then add a letter category to each box.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/DiscGear-Selector-desktop-storage-case/dp/B00007DWEA

This information is also put in DVD Profiler. This means once I have found the movie I want to watch, lets say it is located as G24, which obviously means box G, DVD 24, I then go to box G, move the slider to 24 and press the button. The lid comes up with the DVD selected! Works a treat!

    Best regards

    Chris
