Thank you for the suggestion agsteele. I tried changing Sort to Date updated and Date created but that didn't fix the problem. Since this appears to be an isolated issue I will reinstall Evernote and see if that makes a difference.

I start all my notes with the current date when the note was created eg 231206 and often use the Sort by Title function to find particular notes. However, this sort function seems to have stopped working for me - if I change the filter to Descending order (ie most recent dates first) it remains stuck on Ascending order (ie oldest dates first). Anyone else encountering problems with the Sort by Title on the latest version of Evernote for Windows v10.67.4?

Yes, thank you Federico and the team for your transparency and efforts! I am really enjoying the increases in speed in Evernote for Windows 10.63 and Evernote for Android 10.55!

I am also starting to encounter problems where text added on Evernote for Android v10.54.1 subsequently disappears. I will write something in Evernote for Android and it appears to sync to Evernote for Windows (v10.62.2), and then sometime later it will disappear from both versions. While the missing material does appear in Note History and I have been able to restore it, there appears to be a synching problem with the Android client at the moment. Submitted support ticket.

Despite the complexity involved in forwarding emails, in my experience, this has always been a rock-solid characteristic of Evernote and something you could rely upon. However, in the last two days, I, too have experienced emails forwarded to Evernote not showing up. There does not seem to be any pattern that I have observed, and one email that failed to arrive, did make it when I re-sent it. I have submitted a support request.

I have also started to experience this problem in the last several days. My phone is a Pixel 7 Pro and if I capture an image using CamScanner and then attempt to share it as a JPG to Evernote, it will show "File Permissions Required", and nothing turns up in Evernote. The same CamScanner image can be shared to OneNote as a JPG without any issues.

The best tool at the moment seems to be OneNote Batch http://www.onenotegem.com/a/addins/onenote-batch.html You can import an Evernote Notebook into OneNote and it will create a new OneNote Notebook containing all the Evernote content.
You need to pay for it, but I think you can test it out by importing a few Evernote pages to OneNote, before paying.
My experience was that it worked quite well.

As Kemet mentioned, Evernote Legacy has an import function from OneNote. However, it won't work if you are trying to import OneNote notebooks which are located on OneDrive and are just cached on your PC (my experience is with Windows rather than Mac). My recommendation is to create a new OneNote notebook on your PC (File > New > This PC) and copy the notes that you want to import to Evernote into this new Notebook. Then use the import function in Evernote Legacy to import this notebook into Evernote. Works without a problem in my experience.

Based on my experience, the best tool for importing Evernote notebooks to OneNote at the moment is Gem OneNote Batch: http://www.onenotegem.com/a/addins/onenote-batch.html
While it does cost money, in my case it worked well.

I am also experiencing this problem with PDFs in Version 10.45.18 for Windows. Not something I have encountered previously.

It is located in the Note menu, Search & Replace. There is a shortcut as well to speed up using it. By using the arrow buttons in the search box you can jump between the string, if it occurs multiple times.

Another Evernote for Windows 10 issue that still requires Legacy is searching attached files. If I have a PDF with a list of 500 students and their class details (for example), and I want to find a specific student, on V10 it will find the document but will not highlight the specific student, which doesn't really help. On Legacy, it will find the document and highlight the specific student.

The same thing happened to me after installing Evernote for Windows 10.23. The default App for all my MS Word and Excel files was changed to Evernote and I had to change the default settings for each file extension back to Word and Excel. Running Windows 11.

I also encountered this problem with Adobe Reader and Evernote. When using Adobe Reader as the default application for PDF files, I was unable to open the PDF file. I tied this on 2 different Android phones both running Android 10. On the phone (Pixel 3a XL), when I tried to open the PDF file in Evernote, an entirely different application on the phone was opened (a fitness app) which obviously could not read the PDF file. On the second phone (Huawei Mate 20 Pro), it could not find an application to open the PDF file. I assumed this was a problem with the Adobe Reader application and solved it by uninstalling Adobe Reader and installing Xodo instead. Everything is working fine now so my suggestion would be to uninstall Adobe Reader and use something else

I highly recommend it. I found it to be the quickest way to get a basic understanding of OneNote, including its structure of Notebooks > Sections > Pages
Two Key Differences between Evernote and OneNote:
- Web Clipping
- EN is much better, providing many options, clips text of full page, article, simplfied article, and selection
- ON clips ONLY an image of the full page -- no options to clip web page text
- Tags
- EN is much better, allowing you to easily create, select, and SEARCH on tags.
- ON has a preset selection of tags, but Tags are NOT searchable!!!

Just thought I would throw in my 2 cents worth. I have been an Evernote premium subscriber for several years, using the Windows and Android applications and with a current database of around 3,500 notes. Recently, I decided to try out Onenote due to ongoing concerns and frustrations. Most of these have been expressed eloquently by others but in particular, the seeming inability of Evernote to handle high DPI displays (renders text incredibly small on both the screen and web clippings), lack of improvement in editing capabilities (I gave up trying to edit notes in Android because it would just ruin formatting created in the Windows version) and apparent problems that other users with larger databases than mine are having with scale, made me reconsider whether it was wise to continue to rely as heavily on Evernote as I do. As others have pointed out, if there was a roadmap which provided a sense of when such fundamental issues (to me) would be addressed, then there would be a much higher likelihood of remaining patient, because there is a lot to like about the product. However, in the absence of such information I decided to explore alternatives and have been testing out Onenote 2013 for the past few weeks.
These are my general observations so far:
1. I was able to transfer across my database of notes from Evernote to Onenote fairly seamlessly using a product called Evernote2Onenote. As pointed out in the PCClassesOnline.com video, Onenote uses a Notebook>Section>Page structure and Tags are descriptors only. And, as JMichael points out, you can't sort on Tags in Onenote the way you can in Evernote, which would appear to be a fairly big disadvantage. However, the way Evernote2Onenote converted my notes in Onenote was to create a separate Section for each Tag. So, notes tagged with (say) 'Family' in Evernote came across into Onenote in a Section called 'Family'. Instead of clicking on the Tag 'Family' in Evernote, I just click on the Section 'Family' in Onenote and get exactly the same notes appearing as I would in Evernote viewing the Tag 'Family'. So, in practice, the additional layer of structure in Onenote (ie 'Section) appears to allow you to have most of the sort capabilities of Tags in Evernote. However, while this works quite well for individual Tag items, multiple Tags are more problematical as it would appear you have to copy the note to each specific Section if you want it to appear in a sort of that Section.
2. As JMichael notes, Evernote is definitely superior at Web Clipping. There is a web clipper available for Chrome and it is also possible to forward emails from GMail to Onenote using 'me@onenote.com. However, both of these functions bring the clipping across as an image, which is not always ideal. However, there is another product called 'bringtoonenote' which does allow you to bring across web clippings as editable text and appears to work reasonably well, based on my experience. So, while not as good or as flexible as the Evernote offerings, there are workable solutions in Onenote if you do a lot of web clipping.
3. Perhaps unsurprisingly, where I find Onenote to be far superior to Evernote is in editing notes. I tend to edit my notes a lot and make use of templates and ultimately gave up trying to edit notes in Android which were created in the Windows client because the formatting would be destroyed. I find it a joy to be able to create a note in Onenote in the Windows client, edit this note in Android and then find that the edits done in Android are perfectly captured when I access the note again from the Windows client. I simply couldn't do this in Evernote and it has made a big difference to how I work.
I am intending to continue experimenting with Onenote for the next several weeks. It is not a perfect program and i find it a little unwieldy to navigate around. However, it feels like a solid application (to me, more solid than Evernote is at the moment) and if you like to edit your notes across platforms then it has some definite advantages.

This only happens on Evernote for Windows 10.77.3, not on Evernote for Android 10.77.0 or Evernote for Web.
The same font (Sans Serif) is being used for the Windows, Android and Web versions, although I thought the default font with the new UI was Inter🤔
