Does anyone know why I only see a limited set of my files? It seems to be consistently around 30, under All, Media and Docs. I have tried changing the sort. I see also that it's not just selecting the most recent (or oldest).

Thanks for the reminder to use the desktop mode. I use a tablet with a physical keyboard (Lenovo P12) Using Chrome, on Desktop mode, I can get to Evernote, but the / command, while I see the grey promte, nothing happens when I type the slash. That, of course, could also be a hardware issue, except that also using the onscreen keyboard it also does not work. Maybe I have popup's blocked... Using Firefox in Desktop mode, I get the popup of options, and can select one (I can not jus go on and type, but I think this is not how it works on Android), but if I have any text on the page at all, I get very irratic behavior, like the word "Press" showing up somewhere as text, of the cursor moving all over the place, etc. I can not say if this is an Evernote, a Firefox or tablet and keyboard incompatitiblity... I will keep fussing with this to see what I can find out.

I note too that the web version does not work on Firefox for Android either - I was thinking that might be a work-around.

I have started using the Android version with a keyboard more lately and it seems that the latest new features, like the / command and collapsible sections are not (yet?) available. Also long standing functionality like multiselect, and I assume many other functionalities. Is there anywhere where we can see the detailed functionality of each platform app, preferably next to each other?

In the end, it seems it was some mysterious bug or unknown setting... I created a new calendar, disconnected Mylifeorganized from the old calendar, and connected it to the new one, and now that new calendar shows in Evernote.

I saw outlines are collapsable too!

Hi All, I took the professional subscription last year to keep boolean search. Now that is included in personal. Is there any reason I should not downgrade now, and continue with the personal subscription? I do not need the extra upload volume or the teaming features. The only item I am not clear on is what Widgets might be missing from the home page. Is there any other reason I should not downgrade? Any other advice? Thanks!

If you mean disconnect my google calendar under my account settings, I did that. I only have one google calendar account linked to Evernote. Within that Google Calendar account I have 5 personal calendars. If you mean deselect them in the widget, I did that too, but it will still not turn up in the list. What I did was remove the widget, disconnect my google calendar, restart everything, then reconnected my google calendar. The odd thing is, when I added the Calendar widget, it had already selected the same calendars I had selected before. So that implies removing the widget, does not remove its settings...

Evernote only lists 4 of my 5 calendars for one Google Calendar account. I am looking for thoughts on how I might get it listed. It's important as it's the one with my external appointments. I can not say with certainty if it was always missing since I use the Evernote calendar sparingly, but I think I would have noticed earlier if it was always missing. I have compared the settings of the missing calendar to another listed calendar and they are identical except for the URLs which should be different. I also can select some standard calendars like US Holidays, etc. I should add that the missing calendar is the only one that is also linked to by one other application. Maybe this is the problem? I would hope not, but you never know.

I have Windows, v10.75.2, new interface. I ran a test of a new note, using tags starting with letters and with special characters: The note itself sorts all tags correctly The lists views - side and top - "sort" by the order of entry (in otherwords they do not sort) The Snippets and Cards view sort all the tags correctly This is definitely a bug and I agree it should be fixed asap.

Update: I removed every trace of Evernote (Revo) and let the new install do its thing, and waited for the update. Fortunately, it seems to have worked, and I only got an update in one directory - the AppData one. I am not really happy with this being the program folder, since standare for Windows is the Program Files directory, but for now, this reduces my frustration with Evernote...

I looked into searching and filtering on Tasks, checklists, and (old style) Todo's today and as far as I can see its a mess.. so much that I thought I could summarize here, but but there is so much inconsistency (esp, if you refer to the documentation) that I have to work more on this, and will report back in a separate post... stay tuned... 🙂

@agsteele I will keep what you say in mind. The installer itself put it in the (x86) folder on the last clean installs, and the first time support said to delete the %AppData% version. I will start over (again) and see if it installs in the %appfolder% (which I find an odd place for executables...) this time, and report back.

Is anyone else having this problem, and have you found a permanent fix? For the last 3 updates, Evernote installs a second version of Evernote in another folder, not of my choosing, and then later downgrades both copies to the earlier version. The last time I upgraded to 10.72.2, and then downgraded to 10.71.2. I worry about what this could do to my data and it is of course, annoying. d The Evernote install .exe initially installs it under c:/program files (x86)/. The next update installs into a user folder ( C:\Users\userx\AppData\Local\Programs\Evernote\Evernote.exe). I have been advised to just delete the entire Evernote folder under AppData and use the remaining version OK, but with the next update, the problem repeats. And this solution seems pretty ad-hoc and risky for data integrity. I have also removed all versions of Evernote with Revo uninstaller and reinstalled it, but that did not help either. I have reported this each time to Evernote, but they stopped replying after the 2nd occurrence, and I only reported the 3rd occurrence today.

@gazumped Your template approach is also very nice... I really should make more use of templates...

@Mike P The multi tag aspect is even double neat! Re the Notebooks... they are my security blanket... I also use MoC's (Map of Contents notes) at times...and have Pro just so I have boolean search... its clearly all overkill... sigh. 😉

Maybe it's old news to many, but I just discovered if you have selected a tag in the navigation pane, and then create a new note, then the note automatically gets that tag added to it. Of course, you then need to still put it into a specific notebook, so its not per se a time saver... What I really want to see is an option to have certain tags always added to a note depending on what notebook you create it in. This is not a new idea, as I have seen it on the wish list for years...

Edit: Ah, sorry, I did not read very well... you mean when you create a new note, not a new tag. Yes, this is annoying. And thanks @Mike P for a workaround. ---- This does not happen for me on my Windows app. Maybe I do not understand what you mean. I have selected a tag from the tag list in the navigation pane, and tried adding an existing tag, and also a brand new tag, but the view stayed with the tag view of the original selected tag.

Well, this is new... I have been using the new interface and did not even notice... so I do not have anything to complain about (for once). I will try harder 😉

On a windows version, click on Notes in the navigation sidebar. The slide out list view shows a filter icon in the upper right. Click on that and you will see the fields.

Edit: After posting this I went and deleted it on my mobile apps, and added the shortcut back in on the Web app. It seems to be working now... so that is good, but the initial problem was odd... --- I have a shortcut to a note that keeps disappearing. Does anyone know why this might happen? This happens on the Windows app, as well as the Web. Right now it is still visible on the Android and iOS apps. The note is one I have used since 2021 to list the week's meals and has been a shortcut all this time, until now.
