  1. The screenshot offset problem I mentioned above in my June 1 post has not been fixed with this latest release.
  2. Would the issues with Chrome be responsible for the screenshot function of Webclipper shifting the output of all clipped images up and to the left? The web clipper screenshot feature is working for me in Firefox, but in Chrome it is not capturing the area I select. For example, this is the area I selected using Webclipper: and this is the resulting output: Thanks! ........Curtis........
  3. I would LOVE this feature, especially since the Web Clipper on Android does not note the URL of the page it's clipping from when only clipping a passage from a longer page. It would be great to be able to Copy the passage, clip the page to Evernote, and then copy the clipped passage into that note. (Of course, it would be even easier if the clipped note recorded the source URL, like it does in Windows browsers. Also I often annotate my clipped notes with comments in the Chrome version, so it would be very helpful to be able to do this on mobile, too.
  4. This is the only solution listed here that worked for me. Thanks JJMP!
  5. I'm having the same problems with Chrome on Windows 10. The article title is presented in PT Serif 62 which is ridiculously huge (see screen snap). I don't recall exactly when this started happening, but I think it was in early March of this year.
  6. I started experiencing this problem only recently in Evernote for Windows 6.10.3.6921 (306921) Public (CE Build ce-1.39.4387). The cursor sometimes jumps to the bottom of the note when Enter or Spacebar or Tab are clicked. Thanks!
  7. I rarely use the direct-to-note audio recorder in Evernote because of it's lack of a Pause feature. When I choose to record an audio note, it's usually because I have too much to say to write it down. That being the case, I often want to pause to compose my thoughts as I go, but I can't do that in Evernote. (Well, I could do it, but it would mean long, empty spaces with no speech in my audio recordings, which are no good, either.) Instead, I end up using the built-in audio recorder on my Samsung phone, which creates files that are over 10 times larger than those created by the Evernote recorder. (Of course they are higher quality, as well, but for a voice note, that's not important.) You can see the file size difference from my 10-second test in the attached image. Implementation of this feature would benefit everyone, because we all want more compact file sizes, right? Thanks! ..........Curtis..........
  8. Same problem for me. And I disagree that it's a Samsung issue. There are more Samsung users than Apple users worldwide, so it would behoove Evernote to give us the same deference they give iOS subscribers, lest they lose us.
  9. I would really like to see a return to the one-step log-in that existed before a recent update. Having to click the Continue button and then the (real) sign-in button is just a niggling extra step that we didn't used to have to take. It's not a big deal -- it's not like it's going to make me flee screaming to some other notes manager -- but it is a niggling frustration and the sign-in would be more user-friendly with only one step. You know, like in the good old days. (Of August...or whenever this upgrade happened.) 5-Oct-2017 Update: Okay, so I was being a whiny-boots. The new sign-in isn't so bad. Fortunately, you can simply hit Enter twice after entering email/ID and the password field opens, so it's quick. Not a big deal. I was thinking that I was going to have to grab the mouse and click the Continue button just to enter my password, but not so. Sorry for making such a fuss.
  10. I have a similar problem (but not always) when I try to clip selections from Gmail messages in Chrome. It's not consistent: It will work for one email message and then not work for another. The source of the message doesn't seem to matter. I often clip news updates from a newspaper source and one time it will work fine and the next time, an hour or two later, Evernote will not allow me to clip a message from the same source. 12:06:46 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time (Mexico)) (LOG) /background.html: server keepAlive request at b (/js/main/Extension.js:3:188) 12:19:22 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time (Mexico)) (ERROR) /background.html: EDAMUserException: {"errorCode":10,"parameter":"OAuthCredential.accessToken.expired"} at chrome-extension://pioclpoplcdbaefihamjohnefbikjilc/js/main/GoogleContactsManager.js:3:1200 at <anonymous> 12:19:28 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time (Mexico)) (WARN) https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/: Some frames seem stuck, continuing with what we've got. at c (/content/frame_loader.js:3:502) 12:20:22 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time (Mexico)) (WARN) https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/: Some frames seem stuck, continuing with what we've got. at c (/content/frame_loader.js:3:502)
  11. Unfortunately we Windows users (87% of the market share) haven't received the same attention... :-(
  12. In a recent release, web clipper for Chrome (Windows) has become sensitive to the width of the browser window, so that if I clip a page that is narrow but centered on my wide-screen notebook with lots of white space left and right, the clipped page also has lots of white space left and right, meaning that I have to scroll right to see the content on my computer. I find myself having to take second web clip with the browser window set at a narrower width in order to have a clipped article that is easily readable.
  13. The work-around I use requires a couple of steps: Use Evernote Web Clipper to capture the main body of the blog/article. Select the Disqus comments and copy them (Ctrl+C). Paste them into a new Evernote note. Merge the clipped note with the pasted Disqus comments note. This does not necessarily result in a cleanly formatted note for easy reading, but all the content is there.
  14. Has there been a resolution to this problem? I just noticed today that when I create a new note the default font/size is Tahoma 13, but when I copy/paste text into that same note, I am not able to size it to 13 because it's not an option in the dropdown: 12 and 14 are available but not 13. So all pasted text is the wrong size. This is a new problem, as I copy/paste text into notes all the time and have not had this issue in the past. My monitors are set to default scaling. Thanks. ........Curtis..........
  15. Did you ever receive a response from Evernote about this issue? I'm frustrated with the same problem. I save Google Maps screenshots to notes that I made available offline, in case I don't have a mobile data connection where I'm traveling. But now I can't do that as easily because the high quality images are no longer stored in the notes. Rather, I have to go hunting for them in other folders on my Android phone.
  16. Please add this feature soon.
  17. In my case the problem was caused by a privacy setting I had enabled in Google Chrome to close out of my Gmail and bank accounts when I close the browser, so that persistent log-in settings are deleted and certain sites won't be logged into automatically when the browser is opened. The fix was this: 1. Google Chrome Settings > Show advanced settings... > Privacy > Content settings... > Cookies > Manage exceptions... 2. I added https://www.evernote.com and set it to "Allow" 3. Click "Done." And now the snippet sort order defaults to my setting when I reopen Evernote Web. ......Curtis......
  18. I'm not able to clip this page: http://goodmenproject.com/featured-content/god-glass-beer-trappist-monks-jdg/ Chrome Version 32.0.1700.76 m Evernote Web Clipper 6.0.8 Windows 7 - 64-bit Update: I was able to clip the page using FireFox.
  19. I agree completely with chronistin. I use merge most frequently for clips of sites with multiple pages (like specs, features, etc. for a product), and the enormous titles that auto-injected as spacers are annoying and I always have to go back and delete them. Please make this a user option! (Do it at the Merge button: "Merge" and "Merge without titles".) Also, the fact that the note title changes automatically is extremely irritating. This happens all the time to me, not just in merges. Also in copy/paste situations the title of an existing note is often converted to the the content of the new first line of the note. Why would I want that? Thanks!
  20. I occasionally have this problem with Evernote 4.5.7.7146, but it is not consistent and it has nothing to do with having been synced or not. About every fourth or fifth note that I try to email from my Windows Evernote interface (right click on snippet > Share > Send by email...) causes Evernote to crash. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1
  21. It requires an extra step, but when I copy/paste a table from Excel into Word and then copy/paste from Word into Evernote, it retains most of the formatting from Excel, and it's editable/viewable without having to open in an external app. More importantly (for me) is its immediate availability in my mobile Evernote app.
  22. I submitted the support ticket copied below to Evernote on Saturday and they responded within 24 hours, but all they said was to uninstall and reinstall the Web Clipper extension, which I'd already done before submitting the ticket. (I guess I should have mentioned that in the ticket.) So the problem is not fixed. Today I'm on a different machine (also Windows 7) and Chrome Web Clipper is seriously broken, even after uninstall/reinstall. When I view this page at http://is.gd/45l5cY I am not able to clip selected text, and when I Clip Full Page, only the top part of the page shows up in Evernote. I hope Evernote Support is able to fix this soon....I've begun relying on Web Clipper a great deal lately. UPDATE: I just installed Web Clipper on Firefox 10.0.2 and it's not clipping the page linked to above correctly, either...so the problem must be with that specific page. However, Evernote indicates that when there is a clipping problem, one should try clipping only a portion of the text, which DOES work on that page in Firefox but not in Chrome. ............Curtis........... Support ticket: #16051-79242 Subject: Web Clipper Breaks after clipping a few pages Yesterday Chrome Web Clipper began acting up and now it breaks after clipping a few pages. The clipper dialog appears and allows me to make selections, but when I click the Clip button, nothing happens....or sometimes the dialog reduces to a small box with no content. But again, nothing happens and the note is not clipped. Closing out of Chrome and reopening it resets Web Clipper and it works fine for a few more clips before locking up again. I don't think it's a matter of the page not being compatible (as mentioned in the KB below), because once the problem occurs, Web Clipper no longer works on ANY web pages. But just in case, you can test it here -- http://www.copyblogg...ile-email-list/ -- that's one site I'm not able to clip. I'm using Chrome 17.0.963.79 m in Windows 7.
