  1. Hi all, We are getting increasing feedback from Safari Web Clipper users of problems clipping certain sites. One reason in these cases can be caused by how Safari have chosen to enforce Content Security Policy (CSP) headers. Summary of CSP: - It's a 'setting' of sorts, that site publishers can set that limits what bookmarklets and extensions can do on their site. - In Safari this may cause the Web Clipper to not being able to execute any code and thus not being able to start. - More info about CSP is available here: http://www.w3.org/TR/CSP/ Typical signs of a CSP issue: - When clicking the Web Clipper toolbar button absolutely nothing happens. (i.e no Web Clipper UI will load) How to determine if the site is having restrictive CSP settings: - See this Skitched tutorial for a guide. https://www.evernote.com/l/AAwMRDf060tB94tLsqW1TK2dNxvFGBuroh4 What can be done about it? - At this point there is nothing that we can 'fix' in the Web Clipper. We are blocked by Safari from running any code. - At the moment Chrome and other browser haven't implemented CSP the same way so clipping in those browser should work fine if the root cause is CSP.

    firefox Firefox Web Clipper 6.1

Hi all, We have submitted version 6.1 to Firefox and are waiting for their approval. Fixes in 6.1: - CPU load reduced greatly, should make it smoother to work with in general and especially when you have many tabs open. - We believe we have fixed most occurrences of the missing toolbar button. - Fixed issue that threw error message 'EDAM-USER....' when trying to save a clip. - % symbols at beginning and end of strings on options page. 6.1 can be installed from here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/evernote-web-clipper/versions/ Please note that it may take Firefox 3-5 months to review this build and give it final approval after which users will be automatically updated. In the meantime you can still install it from the link above. Feel free to post reports of any issues in the 6.1 build here. Include as much details you can and your FF and OS version.
  3. Hi all, We have a release candidate version for the new Firefox Web Clipper that we'd like to invite a few select people to start testing. It is a complete re-write and doesn't share any code with the previous version so we expect some turbulence in the beginning. When you report issues please post your OS, Firefox versions, URL where an issue can be observed and as much details as necessary for us to reproduce the problem. Not expected to work in this version: - Sharing Get the latest build here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/evernote-web-clipper/versions/ And feel free to post both design & performance feedback as well as straight up bugs.
  4. There are 2 separate settings for Related results. 1) Related results - show related results when you search the web = this controls the widget on Google search pages. 2) After clip - 3 options on how the dialog displays. Pick the one without Related results. URL is always saved as note data. Different Evernote clients show the URL in different places. Hope that helps.

ANSWERED Web Clipper not working in FireFox

You should try installing version 6.1 available here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/evernote-web-clipper/versions/that should take care of the problem.

safari Web Clipper stopped working, again

Typically this happens after you update OSX or Safari and a system restart usually takes care of it. Also check this setting that Safari frequently change when you've updated Safari. https://www.evernote.com/l/AAw98_uhg8RJtpGAUscwg4eXJo2vcCwZtls
  7. There's no download location for legacy versions of the Web Clipper. Web Clipper version 6.6 should work on Safari 6 and up. I don't think your OS version matters much but I cannot say for sure since we no longer test on it.
  8. If you update to version 6.1from here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/evernote-web-clipper/versions/that issue will go away.
  9. Yes it's possible. On Mac you right click the screenshot image with annotations on and select 'Annotate this image' similar steps on Windows.

    Outlook Clipper Error

Bug fixes to Outlook Clipper are coming in the next Windows update. I'll post back here once it gets available as a beta update.
  12. Web Clipper 6.6 is the latest release. Safari 5 & 10.6.8 are no longer supported so I recommend getting more recent updates installed. Can't really explain why it disappeared though.
  13. To clip the URL only you should choose the 'Bookmark' option.

    Outlook Evernote Clipper

Thx LAX for the report. We're investigating this, I'll report back here when we have more info.
  15. We'll investigate this report. In general we no longer officially support Outlook 2007 so my first recommendation is to update to Outlook 2010 or higher. But if we find a clear fix we'll include it in the next Windows update.

  17. @Bug - based on your description you are using the Share extension from Evernote. The Web Clipper is a browser extension installed separately from www.evernote.com/webclipper Please confirm if you are 100% you have this product installed in Safari, it will add a button to Safari's toolbar.
  18. Thanks for the report, we're aware of this and working on a fix.
  19. If you try to clip the entire newsfeed you are unlikely to succeed. The best advice I have is to open the individual post you want to clip (f.a.e by clicking on the timestamp of the post) and then start the clipper and clip ass 'full page'. Works fine in our testing on Safari 8.0.8
  20. Fixes are being worked on for the next release. We will first get them into the beta releases so consider opting in to beta features and updates in the Evernote for Windows client.

@sss4r The duplication of notebooks and sometimes weird clipping behavior is a bug in Chrome 45. They've since fixed the issue in Chrome version 45.0.2454.93 and above so please check for an update.

safari Web clipper won't clip in safari

Thanks for the report. Safari Web Clipper works fine in our testing so I'd like to get some more info from you: - OS and Safari version numbers. - Web Clipper version number. - What URL(s) it fails to start on ( a few samples where this happens to you) Things to try: - Restart Safari - Restart your computer (if updates have installed it sometimes helps to restart the system) - Clear cache in Safari > Clear history and website data - Check Adblock & Popup settings in both Safari and any other extension you might have. Sometimes they change and all of a sudden are blocking the Web Clipper UI from loading. Let me know if anything helps.
  25. This is a bug in Chrome 45. It's been fixed in Chrome 46 beta. More info here https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/88201-bug-en-chrome-clipper-mac-clipping-wrong-page/
