  1. If it is not working for you (maybe you are on BETA releases)? You can try this: Uninstall your current FF. Then download and install Updte 66.0.4 (not some other update). That should fix it. Good luck !
  2. I was somehow spared this latest upheavel with the clipper. I disabled "automatic updates" in the Clipper as well as in Firefox. Both are working now for me. But I will let it run WITHOUT the latest updates for a while.
  3. After Firefox updated yesterday, the Web Clipper stopped working. When I sign in, to clip a page, it works. After finishing Firefox and re-open it again, a red dot appears unter the WEb Clipper (Elephant) symbol and I have to sign in again, for every single clip. Very tedious. I know, it is the Firefox settings. I have tried for hours and nothing works. Can anybody provide me with the Firefox settings that I need to check, so the web clipper works? Thanks.
  4. Hi Austin, thanks for the info. I can confirm this as I was able to check with Kaspersky and they came to the same conclusion. False positive !! Cheers Wern
  5. Still no response from anybody at EN. Hey, this is a serious issue with potentially harming thousands of users around the world. Very disappointing. Nobody from EN looking into this and recommending a remedy?
  6. No response so far from EN. Is anybody else having this virus warning?
  7. Thanks, I submitted a support ticket. By now, that should be a well known issue for Support and/or the Security Team.
  8. Same here. "HitmanPro" is reporting a virus in EvernoteTray.exe after upgrading today to newest build. Is this real ?
  9. It all depends on the SEQUENCE you are clicking your notes for merging. If you have notes no 1, 2, 3, you are free to merge the notes in any sequence you want. (List view is good for that). In your example above: Click the note with "Greetings" first, then (holding down Ctrl-key) "Hello" and merge. That should do the trick. Wern
  10. Hi and welcome to the forums! Yes, what ZZZ is saying is correct. The notebooks do sort themselves alphabetically by default. If you are using a desktop version, quit the program and open it again. As mentined above, logging out and back in for portable devices should fix this issue.
  11. Hi and welcome to the forums ! Glad you found a way to organize EN in a way that meets your personal needs. Some of your ideas are good but most of it has already been discussed here in great length. Thanks anyway.
  12. This thread may be helpful for you. http://discussion.evernote.com/topic/35255-science-class-notes-and-evernote/
  13. I don't think that will happen. EN is not trying to be a "universal" piece of software that can do everything (badly). It is designed to collect and retrieve information with speed and ease. You CAN use a third-party mind mapping tool and drag the files into EN. Once there you can click on that file and your external software will open for working with mindmaps. Wern
  14. Please don't double post. I deleted your 2nd post.
  15. No, sorry. No notebooks inside notebooks either. You can move a notebook into a notebook but EN will then create a STACK automatically. The hierarchy from bottom to top is: notesnotebooksstacks
  16. Sorry, STACKS is the top level in EN. STACKS can have notebooks but not stacks. There are workarounds: You could re-name your old stacks, something like "X-name" and the stack will move down in the list. If you don't have too many notebooks in your stacks, you can create an "Archive-stack" and move all your notebooks into that one. Hope this helps. Wern
  17. While I can see a need for this, this would be difficult to implement and not useful after some time. Websites change, URLs change and implementing this would then give you useless or conflicting messages, as changes will be more likely. Probably not on the radar screen of EN developers.
  18. Hi and welcome to the forums ! Yes, STACKS can be a bit confusing at first. As Gaz wrote, "they are already there". To clarify: Go to "Notebooks" (left panel), right click and choose "create notebook". Give it a name. Drag another of your notebooks onto it and voilà, you created a STACK. Wern
  19. You can simply sync your notes to EN on your PC. The Windows version of EN lets you do what you want: View >> (tick off): Show unassigned tags Wern
  20. Hi and welcome to the forums ! This topic has been discusssed here at length. Please use the Search function. In EN you can create STACKS which can hold notebooks. With Stacks you can probably accomplish what you want to do. You can read about Stacks here. Thinking for some time on HOW you are going to organize your notes (and tags) is time well spent and will also help to find them later with ease. Wern
  21. Hi and welcome to the forums ! EN has decided that there are no Sub-notebooks at the moment. You can create STACKS which will allow you to have a visual representation of sub-notebooks. Here is info on how to use stacks. This has been discussed here at length already. Use the search function. Wern
  22. If you are still typing your note and found that there are mistakes, you can use good old "Ctrl-Z" (Win) and undo your last steps. Wern
  23. EN does not ignore users, quite the contrary. This forum is an active community and EN employees read what is posted here. Many design features were proposed here first and got implemented. It is impossible to accommodate all wishes of all users. EN has to make some basic design decisions which suit the average user well. Multiple levels of notebooks does not seem to be one of those. Wern
  24. Stat, welcome to the forum. At the moment there is no sharing of stacks. While I can see some need for this, I doubt it will be implemented any time soon. Wern
  25. Your only chance is setting your preferences for printing single pages in your printer menu. EN does not support printing single pages at the moment. You can (usually) copy your note to other software (Word) which will probably support single page printing for your printer because of different interfacing. Wern
