  1. Backup everything, move whatever possible to Obsidian, move on -- that's my plan after 10+ years of using Evernote (and when my subscription ends). I see new reasons NOT to use EN almost every day. EN is beyond salvation I'm afraid.
  2. Key word here is SEEMS. Again, I wasn't able to access ANY note, including those created on that same machine (day before). For some random reason (that beyond my control). Such insanity NEVER happened with Classic Evernote, not a single time in almost 10 years. Also, when BS forced v10 on us, I did some testing of offline access -- it randomly fails; five different devices, no pattern found. When my subscription ends, I just stop using EN. The only reason I'm still doing it -- mental 'inertia' and some time of subscription left (the regular "oh but I'm paying money for this, I cant just throw it away").
  3. Offline access is not a 'feature'. It's my notes, not theirs. BS basically wants to provide paid access to my notes, denying that access if I'm offline. This is just insane (especially if they're actually advertising this as a 'feature')
  4. After reboot on work PC, EN suddenly claimed that I'm trying to login from different time-zone and requiring confirmation code sent to e-mail I can't access till evening. The EN on my laptop started showing "you are offline". Can't access ANY note, even those that were created on this same laptop. Trying to restart EN on laptop - it crashes. Several attempts later EN stuck on startup screen. This is just great. And then BS is surprised people don't want to pay them money
  5. I think we can stop here. (But implementing basic functionality from Classic Evernote would be nice)
  6. It was a rhetorical question. I'm pretty sure EN doesn't care in a slightest about my issues with v10. I still have several months of premium subscription left and after that I'm done with EN -- there's no point in paying (even higher!) price for software that becomes worse and worse each and every month.
  7. only if you depend solely on tag searches. Assigning tags should still be possible, and there are many other ways to find notes... Or you can do evernote-backup -- to force update everything and then hopefully find notes by tag (yes, that's sarcasm).
  8. I should work that way (even must work that way), but it doesn't. There are numerous evidence of that on forum. And I've tested offline availability on my several PCs - some notes are STILL randomly unavailable offline, after days and days staying online. BS refuses to let us have 'sync' button (i.e. "force update/download EVERYTHING") and doesn't care much of this problem. Or unable to something about that. Well, at least there's evernote-backup tool.
  9. That's how Electron / web-stuff works -- hogging way much resources than (presumably) necessary. I don't think it'll change to the better anytime soon. I'd rather hope it won't change to worse...
  10. Maybe it's just indentation thing, easily fixed by CSS. Or maybe SHIFT+Enter doesn't work anymore. But after some update, I can't do 'soft break' (as in this second line of paragraph) This is new line with a "hard break" - this can't be done in EN for some reason. BS, can you stop messing our notes with 'improvements'?..
  11. OK, mystery is demystified -- it's was 'out of space' (local note storage). What's interesting, "Show low storage space warning" option was ON -- exactly for preventing such problems. Two question for BS : 1. can't you detect out-of-space situation and report this to user? (instead of endless crashing) 2. WTF "Show low storage space warning" option is for? (it's clearly useless)
  12. After update on laptop EN keep showing "something went wrong bla-bla", restarting app doesn't help (rebooting laptop doesn't help too). 10.92.3 on desktop still working.
  13. Well, Classic Evernote somehow handled any drag-n-drop I tried last 5+ years pretty well. Perhaps BS devs should dig that arcane knowledge from old source code (yes, that's sarcasm). And of course dragging to desktop and then to EN works. Whole point of drag-n-drop is to minimize operations, not to add some more clanky intermediate steps.
  14. Drag-n-dropping attachment to the note doesn't work when you try to attach files from some external device connected to PC (like Android phone/tablet). EN just keeps spamming "Something went wrong. Try later" popup. This never worked in v10 as far as I remember (never had any problems with attachments in v6).
