  1. No problems at all with our pcs. never did get help from "support". By changing to business for 3 times the price, all problems went away with work chat and sharing. Of course that was after we went thru all the problems of converting. Piece of advice for anyone converting, backup your data directory before converting!
  2. Thanks for the reply. I did a support. It took exactly the same time from the 17th to the 23rd to get a reply from them. Wow what really great support. We finally decided since we could get no help from support, to just manually go through all the notes to solve the issue of the double notes.
  3. I have other far more pressing things that will ruin my day. I just ignore the button and the feature and move on. After all, it doesn't occupy additional computer resources and it doesn't do anything unless you tell it to, so, no impact to the system or my workflow (except for a the pixels devoted to displaying the button in the vexingly non-configurable toolbar). It completely changed the way notes are shared is what it did. Has had a major impact on our business, so in fact it does matter. All of the old ways of sharing notes still exist. You can email notes to anyone (Note>more sharing>email note) (on iOS select the three dots>share>email, which is where it has always been) You can make notes public (cmd-/) you can make notebooks public (right click>publish notebook) The only time you need to use work chat is to invite a fellow evernote user to collaborate on a notebook. In this case, I don't see what harm is being done because the recipient must be an Evernote user by definition (and this has always been the case, even before work chat). Perhaps I have missed something. Where are you finding you are unable to share things the way you used to? When I try to share a note via email from a shared note, the send via email is grayed out. This is how we shared an update in a note before. Work chat also does not work from these notes. We had multiple premium accounts. A notebook is shared from account A. In the past account B could work on the note, then update our ordering person with an email share. Now the email is greyed out on Account B. This work chat really messed up our workflow, and made our lives miserable. We are now attempting business because it is easier to share a notebook. We do not need work chat to share anything.
  4. Here's hoping that the new Windows UI looks nothing like the web beta. It is very difficult to use logically. I hope they do away with flat graphics. What it means is typically there is not near as much contrast between the lettering in the background and much harder to use. Also the fact that whatever notebook you're in doesn't stay you have to lose all that information on the left to have a huge screen open for the note. I embrace change when it makes sense, however many of the current updates should not have been implemented until they fix the core program. Things like automatically putting in the author in the note would've been much more useful than work chat. Since the last update we have had numerous problems with syncing. We use many spreadsheets attached to notes. Since the update we find out we make a change on a spreadsheet, and when we go back to the spreadsheet the changes are gone. Oddly enough we can look in the attachment folder in the Evernote directory and find the latest version of the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is not correctly attached to the note however. Just my 2 cents worth.
  5. We just recently changed from premium to business. I thought this was going to be an improvement. We were having problems with premium as to shared notebooks tags those type of things. We began to have problems when trying to convert personal notebooks to business. After uninstalling and reinstalling Evernote some of the problems went away. We had to do this many times. We finally got three notebooks converted, but when we went to do the fourth we began to have major problem. We lost 1300 notes. Fortunately though, I had backed up the Evernote data directory, at least that's what I thought it was fortunate. When I copied it into the Evernote directory and open up Evernote things really went crazy. I now had 700 extra notes, and 1300 of them were in the trash. Now using the same account on two computers one computer has 1700 notes the other has 2200 notes. Email support has been very slow and has not helped. Anyone have any ideas on why this is happening?
  6. Since the new version, we are having all types of problems. We attach a spreadsheet to the note, make changes in the spreadsheet save it, sync and POOF the spreadsheet is gone. We can not add tags in shared notebooks, even tho we have a note with all the tags in the notebook. Shared notes not syncing all of them. Also, parts of notes have completely disappeared. Anyone have an idea for the spreadsheets or the partially disappearing notes? Thanks Rick

  8. How can I use tags in shared notebook. Note was input into notebook that is shared with all the tags in the note. Go to account with which the notebook was shared. Can not use the tags in the account the notebook was shared to. Get the error message: Only tags that are already in this notebook can be added to this note. Right below this message is a note with ALL the tags in it. How can this be fixed? Rick
  9. Seems the only way you can see the notes in shared notebooks, is know what notebook they are in and choose that one to view from all notebooks. I agree should be easier. Rick
  10. The new work chat really is messed up. We have three premium accounts. Main account shares several notebooks. The other two accounts with which these notebooks are shared can NOT work chat any notes in those notebooks. Also the send via email is grayed out on those notebooks. As usual, support has been very slow and no help at all. Want to guess what they suggested? 1. Reinstall Evernote - their answer to everything, very seldom fixes anything. 2. Re-share notebooks - thier second answer to everything, seldom fixes anything. Neither 1 or 2 had any affect on the two accounts. We have committed to using evernote in our business, but are beginning to look at ONeNote just because of problems like this. Seems almost every time a new version of evernote comes out, some things are fixed but others are broken. We would have MUCH rather had very good tables rather than a worthless chat feature. Just my 2 cents worth. Rick

  12. 4.5.1.5432 All I get with print preview is a blank page. I found several older posts addressing this issue. Any idea when fix will be made? Thanks Rick
