  1. Hi agsteele, Thanks for the prompt reply! I'll give that a go, and report back what happens. Update: Yup! That fixed it. Thanks for your help! 😸
  2. Hi, I launched the standalone Evernote on my Windows 11 laptop this morning and after the window opened, I got the following error... "Something went wrong on our end, sorry about that. Please try restarting Evernote. Exit code: -1073741819" I'm not concerned at the moment because the web version still works fine on this computer, but I normally use the standalone version. I have a subscription, and I checked the number of devices in use, and I should be good there. The app worked fine on this laptop and my desktop last night. (I can't check the desktop right now.) My guess is that something got corrupted and is affecting only this installation of the app. So far I tried restarting the app and the laptop, which did not fix the issue. I haven't tried removing and reinstalling the program yet. Before I try that, is there a simple known fix for this, like deleting a config or preference file? Thanks in advance for any helpful info.
  3. A follow up to what I wrote a few months ago: The potential fix by disabling Scroll Inactive that I mentioned in the above post didn't seem to work reliably, if at all, but sometime since the beginning of this year the problem finally went away for me on the Evernote web, desktop and iPhone apps. To the developers who fixed it, thank you so very much! This bug was maddening, especially for long journal notes I updated daily from the top. Using Evernote is a great experience again. 😸
  4. Thanks and will do. I just wanted to check with other users reporting the issue here to learn if there was a known solution. BTW, I'm trying one more thing today: On Windows in Settings>Bluetooth & Devices>Mouse, there is an option called Scroll Inactive Windows When Hovering Over Them. This is a useful feature but I wondered if it was somehow conflicting with Evernote (Standalone and Web.) I disabled it this morning and, so far anyway, I don't see the problem. Will keep this option disabled for a few days and post again to verify if this actually changes anything for the odd behavior in Evernote. Of course, even if this does help, it's not a solution for Mac users reporting the issue.
  5. Hmm...the problem is still there and here's some additional info... This morning I payed closer attention to what's going on and it appears that when I click inside the note immediately after selecting it, Evernote will scroll to the bottom of the note. But if I wait a moment after selecting the note and then click inside it, the cursor stays at the top, no scrolling. So, yeah, the error does appear to be caching-related. I've been using Evernote for several years without ever seeing this problem so it's a fairly recent behavior. This was in the web version, btw. I'll check if I see the same behavior with the Windows standalone later this week. Update; Yup, definitely still a problem in the standalone version for Windows.
  6. Ack! It just happened again in the web version. In this case, it occurred after I closed Chrome and logged back into Evernote for web. It's not doing this with every note but it just did it with a recent note I had been editing. ATM, I think this happens when I click in the note while Evernote may still be caching the entire note in the browser page. That's just a guess though. I don't know if this is why it was happening earlier in the standalone version for Windows. Will post again when I have more information.
  7. Hmm...I checked the web version again and now it seems to be behaving itself. I'm wondering if this behavior occurs when Evernote is first initialized on a device. Hopefully this issue is fixed but I'll post again when I'm able to test specifically for this issue and gather more information.
  8. I just installed 10.48.5 and this release appears to fix the problem in the standalone version. Now that was quick service...thanks guys! This behavior started with the previous update and it was making me nuts! 😸 Still seeing the problem in the web version though. Will assume this is being worked on.
  9. On any Windows device...I run Evernote on desktop and two laptops, Windows 10 and 11. I keep Evernote updated to the latest and just received notification for an update a few minutes ago. Will be right back after checking the latest update. As for the web version of Evernote, I'm running the latest version of Chrome and see this issue on multiple computers at home and at work, all running either Windows 10 or 11.
  10. Same problem here in the standalone version of Evernote for Windows, as well as in the online version using Chrome. Click on a note and Evernote automatically jumps to the end of the note. Super annoying because I typically append my daily entries at top of the page, and some of these notes can be many dozens of pages long. Hope this can be fixed soon.
  11. Ah, I see now...simply do not click on Take Tour and set it to not show it again, and all is good.
  12. Hi, I'm back up and running. Quick question: Does this mean we should avoid clicking the blue 'Early Access' button until this issue is resolved? Will we be notified when this happens? Curious to try but gun-shy about clicking on that now. Thanks in advance for any info.
  13. Ugh! Yes, it's maddening. I'm clicking around trying to figure out how to complete/close this 'tutorial' popup window. Thanks for the tip but when I try to sign out, the window is blocking the sign-out window. I'm sure I'll get rid of it in a minute but it's pretty annoying. BTW, my system is Windows 10. Ok, was able to sign out from the menu. 😛
