I would really like to see this issue fixed. It was a big loss of functionality for me. Searching in Spotlight and then again in Evernote is a big pain. Every time I do it the thought crosses my mind "what other options are there for storing my notes?". It is a bit of work to look at alternatives. The web clipper feature is one I really like and use a lot, along with cloud sync, and apps for Mac and iOS. Not sure if there is a better option. But this issue is pushing me closer to looking at other options.
