  1. How is me using the free service at your expense though? It doesn't impact you at all... Evernote was sold recently and has been going downhill. Plenty of free alternatives that are not as outdated. Such as Joplin. Free, open source,

  2. I'm done using Evernote. I just can't take it anymore. I've used it for several years and I love it. There is no better note taking app. So why won't I use it anymore? The CONSTANT ads!!!! Do I want to upgrade to premium? No, don't show this again. Everytime I log on, I am prompted to upgrade. It's so tiring. I've written so many notes and I can't even write anymore because I don't have premium. Somehow they've monetized writing notes. And I don't even mind! Honestly! It's just that I am so tired of the CONSTANT harassment to upgrade. Well you lose Evernote. I'm exporting and copying all of my notes to a new note taking app or even just some document files on Google drive or something. I'm done. Did you know you can use Google drive for note taking, for free? You've lost a long time user. Bye

  3. Alright first off, I love evernote. Its just the best note taking app out there. I have one complaint/suggestion though. Whenever I open Evernote I get an offer/advertisement to upgrade to premium. That's fine. I totally understand that's the cost of using a free app. You're going to get ads to upgrade every now and then. The problem is that this advertisement is deceptive. It explicitly states, "you will not be able to get back to this offer" "this offer is only available for a limited time!" "Don't miss out on this deal, you won't have another chance!" That's ridiculous Evernote. Do you realize I've been using this app for so many years, and I am constantly able to get back to this 'fleeting' offer. I've probably seen the same exact offer hundreds of times. It never disappears. It's incessant. The offer comes back again whether you want it to or not. I'd like to re-iterate that I don't have a problem with you advertising for premium, I just take issue with the blatant inaccuracy in your ad. And it is obviously blatant. Creating a sense of urgency obviously drives up subscription numbers but the thing is there's not actually any real urgency. It's not available for a limited time it's available all the time. You WILL be able to get back to this offer. You have infinite chances to upgrade. You can't escape it.

Anyways my suggestion is put a button that says "Do not ask me that again" that's it. It solves the problem. (The problem being that your ad is inaccurate, not that I have to keep seeing your ad. I wouldn't even mind seeing it everytime if it didn't lie to me every day.

Or you could maybe change the ad to highlight the reasons why premium is worth it instead of creating a sense of false urgency.

Thanks for listening. Love your app. Won't subscribe out of principle though.

  4. There was a semi-recent feature update that is causing me frustration. It has to do with deleting/editing text in a note and the space bar. If I edit one of my notes and try to add in something or change words, it seems like the cursor jumps forward whenever I am trying to hit space and continue typing. I think this is a recent feature that is trying to making life easier, but in reality it is complicating the editing process. When I go back to edit something that I have already typed I know where my cursor is and I know what to delete and what to type. However, when I start typing in my edits the cursor will suddenly jump forward to the next word as though I am done editing and all of the sudden I'm typing in words in the wrong place and have to re-edit. Please remove this feature. It goes against how cursor placement works in nearly every other text editing software on the planet and it is something I don't think people will get used to. Editing was so much simpler without these random cursor placement movements. For me it is only an annoyance. If you are convinced that this feature is useful please add an option to disable it.
