I've been having this for over a year. It seems to come and go. I've contacted support on several occasions and jumped through hoops just to find out it's a bug they're planning on fixing. Then it crops back up. I love Evernote and I don't want to jump ship, but this is getting ridiculous. I can't keep closing an app I use all day long because it's killing my machine.

Evernote uses way too much CPU and RAM on an M1. I'm looking at other note apps. This has been going on for months and still hasn't been fixed.

+1000 Please Evernote give us an option to remove the elephant from the menu. This is the elephant in the room for your users. The macOS desktop app has really been slipping lately. Weird design changes, bugs galore... now this icon business. Looking for another note solution, if I'm being honest.
