I wanted to post a new topic, but as I see this comes often, I'll add my opinion here. I had problems with Evernote slow/buggy app on MacOS and iOS since a few years now, absolutely appalling and getting worse and worse. If you ask support, they say it's all jolly good for them. So I took my time, and moved in 2 minutes to Bear. It's a million times faster with the same notes, it imports them all in a click from Evernote, it has tags to organise notes making it overall a much faster and straightforward app, AND it's cheaper and much better looking. Sadly IMHO Evernote lost its plot in the last few years, attempting to add stuff instead of actually focusing on what it was, a notes taking app. Latest update on MacOS trying to poorly imitate Trello and similar is pathetic, making it even more heavy and basically unusable. My two cents...Evernote is not anymore the best notes taking app, is the worst planner (Trello is much better and faster) and a bad/old/sluggish Notes app (try Bear and you'll be surprised how nice and streamlined it is). I've been with Evernote for so many years, but ended up dreading the moment I needed to take a note, waiting forever to have them loaded, absolutely joking with saving times and offline management, and for this having duplicates when there was no need. And my whole notebook was just 24mb, hardly anything big, so much so that Bear imported it and managed it on all my devices in a split second. I hope Evernote will find its way again...in the meantime, I'm finally enjoying quick notes taking across multiple devices and apps again with Bear.
