  1. I am pleased to report this issue is fixed with 10.60.1! Thank you all!
  2. I concur – and yet another issue is that I cannot sign out. The Evernote app goes to a spinning wheel of ‘signing out’ and then crashes. (As mentioned, and as shown in the video, I can’t get the app to run for more than 10 seconds.) So I also cannot sign out unless I am really fast – like my practice sessions trying to export the activity log in as few steps as possible. I was just saying to my spouse: Can you imagine if any time I wanted to listen to, say, Madonna that I had to get on support with Spotify? (Evernote wants me to pay $12 or so a month, so I see it as an equivalent.) Can you imagine that anytime Spotify released an “update,” I would have to email back and forth with tech support, exporting song logs and playlists and getting nowhere after days on end? This is my Evernote experience over the last bunch of years.
  3. As of five hours ago, the latest iOS version of Evernote -- which, again, I should know better than to update right away!! -- is version 10.60.0, which claims to fix miscellaneous bugs. I have never been asked to dump all data so I do not know what that means. Normally I am also able to send an activity log, but I cannot get Evernote to stay open long enough to access it. I did the hard reset -- Press and quickly release the volume up button. Press and quickly release the volume down button. Press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button. -- no dice. My tasks for the last week show up as incomplete and then the app crashes, like so (video is too big to attach: https://share.icloud.com/photos/05dw0Iwo2A0IheO34elbFxi9g).
  4. Thank you, gazumped! This is the most timely response I have ever received relative to Evernote. Oh yes, I am very very familiar with the 'My Requests' support ticket page, having submitted a dozen requests in the last few years. Just to be clear: There is no autoresponse anymore, where I at least used to receive an acknowledgment of my email. (And no, there is no autoresponse in my spam folder either. Though I did get a pithy message from someone named Federico a few weeks ago telling me my Evernote Personal subscription rate was doubling for "new subscribers.") I have loved Evernote for so long -- member since July 2013 -- but I simply I cannot consistently get the customer support I need and pay for. Yes, I uninstalled the app and then powered on/off and reinstalled...going on the third time now! Unfortunately, it's a short work week due to the holiday and thus I cannot spend countless hours (yet again) troubleshooting Evernote. I want to be clear that I do not want to look for other options but I feel like I am being forced into finding another solution because Evernote will not function consistently and I need something I can rely on for work, health, and house reminders.
  5. I put in a support request, but where there used to be at least an acknowledgment of said ticket, evidently Evernote is now "restructuring" its customer support... and, no, there's no message in spam. I think they are simply not acknowledging The app worked perfectly fine before 8 am EST today; upon updating to the new version around 8 am EST, the Evernote iOS app 10.60.0 (1212540) now opens to the sidebar, and then will not stay open for more than a few seconds. (Screen recording attached.) This does not work well for trying to access my notes during a Public Works Committee meeting. And, yes, I've done the usual rigamarole and signed out and restarted my iPhone 15 (iOS 17.1.1) and uninstalled -- more than once. Unfortunately, the app will not stay open long enough for me to download the activity log, so... Any ideas? My Evernote Personal subscription is supposed to renew this Friday ($75.59 to $140.39). 6. I am having the same problem. If the app is not running in the background, no badges and no banner notifications.
  7. I used to rely on my iPhone Evernote app for Reminders. Meaning, at the time of the reminder associated with a given note, I would receive a notification and a red badge would appear in the upper right hand corner of the app (screenshot below). I could also count on the badge to persist (with numbers increasing as more Reminders became ‘overdue’; see other screenshot). I’m inclined to think that – based on the juxtaposition of Notes and Reminders at the top of the app – that Notes and Reminders of are equivalent importance but I am not finding that to be the case any longer. What happens now with Evernote version 10.x, is that if I set a reminder for a specific date and time, I receive a notification of the reminder at the time requested on said date but the badge appears for the entire day and only for that day; the very next day, the badge is gone. [Additionally, sometimes if the app isn’t ‘running’ – meaning if it is not open in the background – no reminder and no badge appears. I didn’t used to worry about whether Evernote was “running” to get a reminder. And, yes, Background App Refresh Is on. But maybe that’s another story.] To recap, my Reminders will show a badge all day (and for that full day, regardless of the time selected for said Reminder) and then disappear completely the next. I only realized that Evernote’s workflow had changed because it dawned upon me that I had not been keeping up with Reminders the way I used to. For example, I have a Note called “beat spring allergies,” for which I set a Reminder annually each February 15th so that I remember to start taking my allergy medicine before my histamines blow up in the spring. This year, I indeed received a notification and the badge appeared on February 15, but the when badge disappeared on February 16, I forgot to take my medicine until a few days later. No big deal with something not too important, but I keep asking Evernote support: Why does the badge disappear the next day? As you can see in my screenshots below, the adjacent Apple Reminders persist as a ‘warning’ that Reminders are overdue and I got used to that being the case with Evernote as well. I feel like Evernote trained me on how I could rely on their application and then decided it was time for me – and everyone else – to change without warning. I am already fatiguing of all the research I’ve been doing to figure out the new Evernote workflows. I have a full-time job – where I used to rely on Evernote to help me remember important Notes – and so I don’t have time to become steeped in all of the nuances of Evernote functionality. Frankly, I just want it to work and I don’t know what I did to mess it up in a way that it doesn’t work the way it used to that I came to really rely on. Also, the Apple App Store seems to have some idea that you can set reminders for Notes by “tagging them” (see screenshot below of an Evernote Story). I see no such options on my iPhone Evernote app anymore. Unfortunately, the functionality that showed the day of the week of the reminder that is illustrated on the screenshot below is not included in this new version of the app either, so I have to switch over to Fantastical to see what day of the week – say, for example, Sunday, March 21st – is to set a reminder. Like, I don’t necessarily want to schedule work Reminders during the weekends so I find myself toggling back and forth. At this point, if I am toggling back-and-forth, I may as well use an app that has the functionality I’m looking for and came to expect from Evernote. I’m getting pretty frustrated trying to understand why I am paying for a Premium subscription to an application that seems like they want me to turn into a programmer to make it work. (I’m frankly not surprised Evernote disconnected their phone number; I would too if I were dealing with this volume of people so displeased.) This functionality was critical to both my personal and professional life that has disappeared without any rhyme or reason, it would seem. I don’t mean to be rude or difficult, just that I don’t want to spend my life scouring forums and sending emails to support and such when I am paying for this to work. Maybe I am just inflexible and not adapting to change, and perhaps I am not seeing the benefits of this update. But I care less about seeing that I have 2,595 notes than I do about this functionality, which has been a centerpiece of my project management for many years and upon which I have come to rely. Any suggestions on how to remedy this or any workarounds are most appreciated. Thank you for reading!
