iPad Widgets? Calendar?
gewappnet replied to robfuzz's topic in Evernote for iOS Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
It depends on the size of the screen/window - at least on iOS. Do you have an Android tablet with a big screen? -
iPad Widgets? Calendar?
gewappnet replied to robfuzz's topic in Evernote for iOS Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
With 10.84.1 I got the green button back. Now the interface on the iPad is back to the "old view", except for the lower border that is thicker. -
iPad Widgets? Calendar?
gewappnet replied to robfuzz's topic in Evernote for iOS Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
Yes, and the small button within the notes widget on the Home screen works as well. So technically I am able to create a new note, but the normal way, the green button, is gone. Strangely enough the settings for this button are still there. -
iPad Widgets? Calendar?
gewappnet replied to robfuzz's topic in Evernote for iOS Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
I became a randomly selected tester as well, but for me it looks different. The sidebar is completely gone. There is a new selection of buttons at the bottom of the screen. On the iPad the screen is unchanged (Home screen with widgets) BUT the "New Note" button is gone! Right, I can't create a new note on the iPad anymore. -

As you are obviously unlucky beta testers and the rest of us don't know what you are talking about, could you please post a few screenshots of the new beta interface on the iPad? -
Open two notes simultaneously
gewappnet replied to Joe montroy's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Two years later: It works now in Safari on the iPad! -
Everyone using the iOS version is facing this problem. It is a bug since version 10.57. Sketch does not work for anybody in the iOS version. This forum is a place for discussions of users. This is not the place to contact Evernote. You have to submit a support ticket from within the Evernote app to do this.

Evernote does not index pictures in PDFs, but it indexes OCR text if available. Many handwriting apps automatically include OCR data while exporting to PDF, e. g. Apple Notes, GoodNotes and Notability. These PDFs with handwritten notes will be indexed by Evernote and can be found with the full text search.

10.58.5 Release Notes
gewappnet replied to a topic in Evernote for Mac Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
As I said above for me it the same (way more free space than 5%, but I get the warning). I guess the way you request the free storage is not the right one. You should get the free space that you would actually get if the app needs it. It seems you get a different number, the currently free physical space which is not relevante at all as the system will give you much more free space as soon as you actually require it. But anyhow, 5% space of a disk doesn't make sense at all. Why would Evernote need much more absolute space on a 2 TB drive than on a 300 GB drive? You should calculate the actual amount of space the app needs (an absolute value!) and give a warning if there is not enough free space according to that value. -
10.58.5 Release Notes
gewappnet replied to a topic in Evernote for Mac Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
Exactly. That's why an answer like "If you haven’t already, I would suggest submitting a help ticket and report this problem to support." sounds like "Shut up, don't waste our time and submit a ticket instead" and therefore offensive. -

Right. But somehow the usual answer "submit a ticket" to absolutely every posting in this specific forum makes the whole existence of a forum called "Possible Bugs/Technical Issue" rather pointless. -
10.58.5 Release Notes

But only an option to change the path of the storage. This does not address the obviously wrong messages. So either they fix the broken calculation of free storage or they give us an option to turn the warning off. -

So I understand that you have a Mac and you don't get the false message, right? -
10.58.5 Release Notes
gewappnet replied to a topic in Evernote for Mac Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
For me it's a MacBook Pro with M1 Pro. Moving the database is not really interesting for me. My drive has more than enough free space, so I just don't want to get this annoying message any longer. -

gewappnet replied to a topic in Evernote for Mac Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
No, can't be 5%. My drive is 1 TB, so 110 GB free space is way more than 5%. This (wrong?) message gets really annoying. Must be a bug in the macOS version. -

I get this now constantly, but my drive has about 110 GB free space. Is this new warning broken? What is considered "low hard drive space"? -
Audio file does not play
gewappnet replied to Paul Green's question in Evernote for iOS Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
I think his point is more about the error message and I would say strange display. Audio recordings of the desktop versions are in fact not displayed in the mobile version as an unknown unplayable file format (.webm). They are displayed as playable audio files incl. a full player interface. But if you press the play button within the player (of Evernote!) it gives this strange error message. This should not happen. Either make the built-in player of the mobile version play .webm files or display the .webm files just as attached files so you could use another app for opening,. -
Chrome Webclipper 7.30.0 (Updated 1/30/23) Not Working
gewappnet replied to KAGS's topic in Web Clipper Issues
For me it was related to the version of Chrome. The current version of Evernote web clipper seems to need a newer version of Chrome to work. After Chrome was updated for me it worked again. Same goes for Edge. So there must have been a fundamental change in the chromium basis for extensions. If you are not able to update Chrome as it is often the case in companies then you are out of luck. -
Chrome Webclipper 7.30.0 (Updated 1/30/23) Not Working
gewappnet replied to KAGS's topic in Web Clipper Issues
Funny that this issue is marked as "solved". For me the Evernote web clipper for Chrome on Windows still does nothing (clicking the icon does nothing at all). I did everything that was suggested in this thread, but without success. The problem for me is really just the web clipper 7.30.0 and 7.30.2 (current version) for Chrome on Windows. It works perfectly in Firefox on Windows and in Chrome on macOS. -
No, do it exactly as it is described on the linked web page. Do not copy the link! Go to the note where you want to insert a link. Press the blue/green "+" button that will bring up the insert menu. One of the many options there (image, quote, audio, ...) is "link to note". Press this. A new box will appear and then you can select the note that you want to link to. THIS will create the correct "evernote:" link.
