I agree completely. By way of background: I've been an Evernote user for about ten years and have never posted in a discussion before - but I specifically registered to chime in on this issue. After the immense frustration of not being able to annotate HTML notes after upgrading to the latest version, I went to Google to find a solution and found this thread.
