  1. Got it--so the current workflow problem is that the new created note links require you to paste into Evernote and then copy the evernote:/// link to get it. Easy if you want to keep it in Evernote, extra work if you plan on distributing this out to other apps and not using the www note link. This is super helpful, thank you for the comments, and for confirming the existing classic note links are working correctly. We indexed for that out the gate and I was concerned there was an exception we might not be seeing. (and open call--anyone who does have an issue with a classic note link created from Legacy working, please do leave a comment)
  2. Thanks for the feedback on internal links--we're working on resolving a few specific issues around their functionality, namely the behavior of a evernote:/// link created on the newest version of Evernote. One item that we are still investigating is version 10's ability to pick up on classic (evernote:///) links created on the Legacy Evernote client. All of our testing indicates this is working and preserves classic link functionality, but we have seen a few reports indicating it is not. Have you had any similar experience? Or has it been the former, where new internal links created on the new Evernote do not work correctly on Legacy or when pasted externally as evernote:/// links?
  3. Got it. Thanks for checking. I have one last theory on this, which I think will involve a UX fix on our side. The list view is horizontally scrollable, it doesn't automatically scale to fit added columns. Is it possible the added columns are hidden behind the note panel? You can drag it out to expose additional real-estate for the list. I don't think this is happening because you mentioned it works with the view options button, but I want to double check (because our approach here radically changes).
  4. Searching offline should also be working and available. At initial install, we load up the note meta data first, which lets you quickly orient to what is available in the account, builds the lists, etc. The note content syncs in the background, and depending on the size of your account, may take some time to do this. If you click into any note or search for a note that is not synced yet, we will opportunistically load that up ahead of what is already syncing. That initial load of meta data can also make it look like the notes are unavailable if you go offline during this initial sync. I'd be interested if you're still running into an offline issue after the notes have loaded. Working offline is an important part of the experience.
  5. @stocky2605--I believe this issue may be resolved in the latest release. You can add/remove columns by right clicking anywhere in the list view column, or clicking the view options button when list view is selected. It looks like we have some work to do to retain the saved columns on a per view basis, which would increase the flexibility here.
  6. Quick search is coming soon (CTRL Q). Reviewing the Help Center article, I think we may have a typo. You can jump to search with CTRL+ALT+F--I've requested we get this updated. @pansovic--sounds like you may be experiencing a bug--and after some testing I think I found it--looks like when you are focused on the note it's not triggering the search. I've reported and we'll take care of it. If you see this happening elsewhere please let me know.
  7. Hi everyone--appreciate the feedback thus far. For two of the noted features above--we're continuing to work on internal links and their functionality. With regard to classic links and internal links, I'm testing against both and seeing them route correctly within the new Evernote. We have a future release to improve them when pasted outside of Evernote, but internally to Evernote they should be working on the latest version. What are you experiencing? As for TOC, you can now copy any combination of multi selected notes into a bulleted or numbered list in the editor, creating your own table of contents note, and re-arrange it using the editor's drag and drop capabilities for the bulleted list. It adds two steps, but increases the overall flexibility of being able to apply groups of note links throughout. Additionally, we remember the order in which you have selected the notes, meaning you can quickly compile your TOC list (or any list) of note links quickly for pasting into any note. Would really love to hear if that additional flexibility expands and improves upon the TOC functionality.
  8. Yes. This is the start of the foundation for a multitude of improvements both old and new, and we need and want the community's feedback as we go forward.
  9. @BadDuke would a system wide zoom option work for you (as in, all text, including your note text, gets bigger), or are you looking to specifically and only change the font in the UI? Just the sidebar?
  10. Making it easier to contact us y'all. More to come.
  11. @Artgirlofnm: checked up on your open case today and it looks like Jason is taking care of you. Glad we were able to get you that additional info! @voicnick: please submit a ticket here: https://www.evernote.com/SupportLogin.action and feel free to private message me or provide the ticket number you receive in this thread. We'll have an agent reach out to you with additional details.
  12. @Artgirlofnm Of course! We're happy to help. An agent should have reached out to you and followed up with more detail yesterday evening.
  13. @xvisto thanks for submitting a support ticket. I've assigned it to one of our agents reviewing tickets on this incident and we'll get back to you with additional detail. Please note we're working through a high volume of tickets so may be a little delayed from our usual response times.
  14. Hi aceybreezy: reached out to you via PM and looks like you were able to submit a ticket and get support from our team--hopefully we'll be able to get you sorted. In the near future we'll be improving this experience to make it easier to find support options. You can also submit a ticket directly through this link here, which is available in our Help Center.
  15. We detected suspicious activity on some users' accounts and have recently emailed them. This is related to reports of users receiving failed email notifications that they never sent, indicating that someone has learned the password to their account. The Evernote service wasn’t compromised, but we believe someone other than the account owner has learned the password to these accounts. Just to be safe, we’ve reset these user’s passwords. If you have not received this email notification from us and you have not seen any failed email notifications that you did not send, then you are likely not impacted. If you would like to take proactive action to further secure your Evernote account, take these steps below: Please visit https://www.evernote.com/ForgotPassword.action to set a new one. We recommend that you choose a strong password that you use only for Evernote. We also suggest that you change your password on any other websites where you may have used the same password. You can find more tips for keeping your account secure on our Customer Security page: https://evernote.com/security/tips/. To learn how to identify if an email that has been sent from Evernote is authentic, please visit this Help and Learning page: https://help.evernote.com/hc/articles/115004380587.
  16. The new editor is live on latest versions of Windows, Mac, Android, and the web client. If you check our forum product release notes (latest is pinned in each individual product feedback area) there are often editor fixes included as we resolve issues or make improvements. iOS is coming very soon, and will have v 1.5 of our latest editor baked in (the others are on 1.0 and will play catch up). PJ may be an alumnus, but we have a new PM managing this project who we'll be onboarding to our forums after we begin to consolidate editor requests and discussions into a global product feedback area.
  17. Hi all--we're continuing to listen, but we are committed to focusing / doubling down on our core applications and the core experiences behind those applications. From sync to search to the note taking experience. Part of focusing for us means making tough choices about what we continue to support, and Evernote Food was one of the choices we had to make. While we know that Evernote's clipping and camera features (as well as some of the Food-related apps we've presented in our App Center) do not fully replace the beautiful experience that was created with Evernote Food, it's something that we need to do to truly focus on continuing to make Evernote an amazing app. I'd like to address a few topics above and the most common questions we've received thus far-- Templates: we're looking at templates and the template making experience. As of right now, we are curating a templates area in our Help Center for popular note stylings. If you have something that you believe replicates some of the Food/recipe/meal recording experience that you would like to see included in a template, PM me with your thoughts or a note of your own design. Problems finding meals or recipes: Evernote Food in most cases will have been syncing to your Evernote account, and you'll have Food related notes intermixed with regular Evernote notes. The steps below should help you find your Food notes quickly on the Web client. First, ensure that the account you are running on Evernote Food matches the Evernote account you will be searching. Open your Food app. Dismiss "enter password" prompt by tapping "I'll do this later" button. Tap the elephant icon Your username will be at the very top Sign into your Evernote client (with the same account found above) on the Web and search using this syntax below Search for classifications_recipe:* to get recipes (includes clipped + "recognized as recipe" notes) Search for contentClass:evernote.food.meal.* to get meals Search for contentClass:evernote.food.restaurant to get saved restaurants
  18. Please avoid the unnecessary call outs--Nancy's providing additional info around how and why we may prioritize a feature over other forms of development, and is being transparent about our intensions around this particular feature. By only focusing on a few limited feature requests you're avoiding much of the other developmental priorities we have, including updates and improvements to existing features. Please check our PM development posts on these forums, and find a range of updates that are based on user feedback, often from our forum membership. Justin's Windows post is only the most recent example: https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/87863-new-evernote-for-windows-590/which addresses a number of recurring themes, such as table functionality. There are explicit improvements across pretty much every single device we support, right here in these forums, many of which contain improvements, adjustments, or expansion to features. We definitely need to do a better job at communicating back to customers when feedback is implemented, and we're working on ways to improve on that and close the loop. Closing the thread for now. Thanks to everyone who has provided information and feedback behind this feature request.
  19. As of September 30th, we’ll no longer support Evernote Food for iOS and Android. This means the apps will no longer be available for download and we won’t be making any further updates to them. It also means that features within the apps, including sync with the Evernote service, will no longer work. All of your notes saved in Evernote Food will still be securely saved and available (and searchable) in Evernote, but will not be editable. Much of the features that were most popular in Evernote Food are now supported by our core Evernote apps and Evernote Web Clipper. We have an FAQ available here with additional info on transitioning away from Evernote Food: https://evernote.com/contact/support/kb/#!/article/95845417 Use Evernote Web Clipper from your computer or Evernote on your mobile device to clip recipes from any website and organize them in Evernote. Additionally, Evernote is integrated with these great food apps: http://appcenter.evernote.com/collection/food. For more information, please check out our full announcement here: https://blog.evernote.com/blog/2015/08/26/evernote-to-end-support-for-evernote-food-apps/
  20. Gaz is right--we've done a bunch of work on crash at start up. Would suggest getting on the latest version first, and let us know if you continue to see the issue.
  21. We're regularly improving the web beta experience so I expect table functionality to improve with time. There's no delete/editing options currently within tables on web beta. For our most up to date article on table functionality, check here: https://evernote.com/contact/support/kb/#!/article/89799088
  22. For the forum name part of your question, we ask for a "display name" for users who do not want to use their Evernote username (if they have one, sometimes it's just an email). We certainly do not want people to use their emails. It does not affect your Evernote account.
  23. Brief update on this. First off, I want to thank everyone for the responses thus far--we've been evaluating them as they've been rolling in. As noted above, this was done as part of a more thorough set of changes we're making with the shared notebooks experience. We've decided to roll back this change for now, and you should see this reinstated in next week's web release. Again, want to thank everyone for the continued feedback and keep it coming.
