  1. UPDATE: we currently are aware of an issue with using Google Sign-In to access our support webform and forums. Forum access will show you as logged out after a successful sign in--if you click "sign in" again you will then be logged in. The support webform presents an error. You can still use your standard Evernote login to access these areas and we are working on a fix. Thanks!
  2. @GiacomoLaw: if you already have a Google email associated with your Evernote account, then you can associate your Google log in with that account either in-app or as part of your normal log in flow. If you do not have a Google email associated with your account, you'll need to enable Google Sign-in in your account settings or choose "Sign in with Google" on Evernote Web.

  4. Starting October 31, 2016, Evernote will support Google Sign-in. Anyone with a Google account will be able to sign into, or create, an Evernote account using their Google account details. As with all Evernote integrations with third-party services, Google sign-in is an opt-in feature (separate from Evernote’s Google Drive integration). It’s up to you to decide whether or not to enable Google sign-in for your account. If you’re not sure, feel free to try it out first. Learn more. Let us know what you think about the new feature below. If you're new to our forums and would like to join the discussion, click "Sign In" at the top right, enter your Evernote account info, select a Display Name and you're all set. 6. Just FYI, if you've tried to reach out to support in the past ~45 minutes, we've been running into an issue with our help desk vendor's servers that we're also working on. Not the best timing, but if you've tried to access our webform and not been able to get through, try back again in around an hour. @HansN: we'll be able to pinpoint the note for you. Note History will be able to retrieve a history of changes related to the note, so you should be able to identify which attachments were gone.
  7. You know what, I should've cross posted this here sooner in our forums, apologies to everyone for that. Support can answer which notes were affected. Reach out directly here: https://www.evernote.com/SupportLogin.action, preferably using Technical issues > Notes > Lost or missing content. Note: this information is only available for users who have received the above email. If you have *not* received an email then you have not been impacted by the bug.
  8. @Rick Conners The reply you received from our agent was not an official response, and we have taken steps to educate the team. We haven’t begun the migration, which begins October 10th and will take a period of weeks to complete. At this time we can’t say with any certainty how this migration will impact your ability to access the Evernote service from China. As we note in our Terms of Service (under the "Right to Modify the Service” section), from time to time you may not be able to access your Evernote content. However, we will try to remedy the situation if you are paid subscriber. If you find that your ability to access the service from China is adversely impacted, please contact customer support.

  10. The new editor is live on latest versions of Windows, Mac, Android, and the web client. If you check our forum product release notes (latest is pinned in each individual product feedback area) there are often editor fixes included as we resolve issues or make improvements. iOS is coming very soon, and will have v 1.5 of our latest editor baked in (the others are on 1.0 and will play catch up). PJ may be an alumnus, but we have a new PM managing this project who we'll be onboarding to our forums after we begin to consolidate editor requests and discussions into a global product feedback area.
  11. Evernote Business is available to all qualifying non-governmental organizations (NGOs), non-profit organizations, and educational institutions at a discounted rate. Please contact us for additional information after reviewing this Help Center article here: https://help.evernote.com/hc/for_schools/articles/208314258 Discount pricing is only available to teams of five or more users and is billable yearly by credit card or yearly by invoice.
  12. Anyone who was experiencing these should no longer be regularly seeing them. We've made a number of changes under the hood to the service to make sure this doesn't happen again.
  13. Thanks all. We're aggressively pushing to resolve this. Thanks to everyone who has also submitted a support ticket. We're working on it.
  14. What platform is everyone who reported in the last 48 hours seeing the constant selection screen on? iOS? Mac?
  15. Hi all--we're continuing to listen, but we are committed to focusing / doubling down on our core applications and the core experiences behind those applications. From sync to search to the note taking experience. Part of focusing for us means making tough choices about what we continue to support, and Evernote Food was one of the choices we had to make. While we know that Evernote's clipping and camera features (as well as some of the Food-related apps we've presented in our App Center) do not fully replace the beautiful experience that was created with Evernote Food, it's something that we need to do to truly focus on continuing to make Evernote an amazing app. I'd like to address a few topics above and the most common questions we've received thus far-- Templates: we're looking at templates and the template making experience. As of right now, we are curating a templates area in our Help Center for popular note stylings. If you have something that you believe replicates some of the Food/recipe/meal recording experience that you would like to see included in a template, PM me with your thoughts or a note of your own design. Problems finding meals or recipes: Evernote Food in most cases will have been syncing to your Evernote account, and you'll have Food related notes intermixed with regular Evernote notes. The steps below should help you find your Food notes quickly on the Web client. First, ensure that the account you are running on Evernote Food matches the Evernote account you will be searching. Open your Food app. Dismiss "enter password" prompt by tapping "I'll do this later" button. Tap the elephant icon Your username will be at the very top Sign into your Evernote client (with the same account found above) on the Web and search using this syntax below Search for classifications_recipe:* to get recipes (includes clipped + "recognized as recipe" notes) Search for contentClass:evernote.food.meal.* to get meals Search for contentClass:evernote.food.restaurant to get saved restaurants
  16. Does the preview image you receive on the print set up screen show multiple pages?
  17. Please avoid the unnecessary call outs--Nancy's providing additional info around how and why we may prioritize a feature over other forms of development, and is being transparent about our intensions around this particular feature. By only focusing on a few limited feature requests you're avoiding much of the other developmental priorities we have, including updates and improvements to existing features. Please check our PM development posts on these forums, and find a range of updates that are based on user feedback, often from our forum membership. Justin's Windows post is only the most recent example: https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/87863-new-evernote-for-windows-590/which addresses a number of recurring themes, such as table functionality. There are explicit improvements across pretty much every single device we support, right here in these forums, many of which contain improvements, adjustments, or expansion to features. We definitely need to do a better job at communicating back to customers when feedback is implemented, and we're working on ways to improve on that and close the loop. Closing the thread for now. Thanks to everyone who has provided information and feedback behind this feature request.
  18. As of September 30th, we’ll no longer support Evernote Food for iOS and Android. This means the apps will no longer be available for download and we won’t be making any further updates to them. It also means that features within the apps, including sync with the Evernote service, will no longer work. All of your notes saved in Evernote Food will still be securely saved and available (and searchable) in Evernote, but will not be editable. Much of the features that were most popular in Evernote Food are now supported by our core Evernote apps and Evernote Web Clipper. We have an FAQ available here with additional info on transitioning away from Evernote Food: https://evernote.com/contact/support/kb/#!/article/95845417 Use Evernote Web Clipper from your computer or Evernote on your mobile device to clip recipes from any website and organize them in Evernote. Additionally, Evernote is integrated with these great food apps: http://appcenter.evernote.com/collection/food. For more information, please check out our full announcement here: https://blog.evernote.com/blog/2015/08/26/evernote-to-end-support-for-evernote-food-apps/
  19. Gaz is right--we've done a bunch of work on crash at start up. Would suggest getting on the latest version first, and let us know if you continue to see the issue.
  20. We're regularly improving the web beta experience so I expect table functionality to improve with time. There's no delete/editing options currently within tables on web beta. For our most up to date article on table functionality, check here: https://evernote.com/contact/support/kb/#!/article/89799088
  21. That would work just as well, correct. I'll get this suggested over to our KB team as well.
  22. Checked around and it looks like a database rebuild is the best way to go at the moment. If all of your notes are synced and you have nothing local, this is a pretty cut and dry process. If you have local notebooks, I may recommend submitting a support ticket on the off chance you run into any trouble. Local notebooks make it a little trickier. To rebuild your Evernote for Mac database, follow these steps: Save your local content: 1. Export any Local Notebooks; select **View > Notebooks**; right-click on each Local Notebook and select **Export Notes from…**2. Choose **Evernote XML Format (.enex)** and save the file to your computer3. Export any unsynchronized notes Move your existing Evernote database: 1. Open Evernote for Mac2. Select **Evernote > About Evernote**3. Press and hold the **Option** key and select **Open database folder** (keep this folder open)4. Select **Evernote > Quit Evernote** from the Menu Bar5. Move the “www.evernote.com" folder (this will contain one or more numerical folders that contain all Evernote accounts you've used on your Mac) from the database folder to another location, such as your desktop Open your desktop application and login to your Evernote account. Evernote will download all of your synced notes from Evernote's servers and create a new database on your computer. Once the new database has been created, import any Local Notebooks you previously exported by selecting **File > Import Notes**.
  23. For the forum name part of your question, we ask for a "display name" for users who do not want to use their Evernote username (if they have one, sometimes it's just an email). We certainly do not want people to use their emails. It does not affect your Evernote account.
  24. The intent of Context is to only show content that is relevant to your work. We're not going to turn Related Notes space into ad space. As far as native advertising goes--it'd probably depend on how each outlet categorizes or manages that content, and whether we can differentiate between what is/not native advertising coming from the outlet. It's an interesting question. There's a growing hunk of content out there that also exists in a "brought to you by" grey area. Take what Medium is doing--a company can sponsor a collection of content within Medium, but not necessarily have anything to do with the genesis of the content.
