I was considering seriously the new Lenovo Chromebook Duet for handling my note taking during trips and surveys. Than I asked myself: does Evernote even have a ChromeOS version?

I am having this really weird problem with Evernote on my S10 phone. When I try to open a PDF file, from within an Evernote note, the Adobe Acrobat splash screen will appear for a brief moment, then the phone will switch to the Cyclemeter app, tring to open the PDF file with it. The problem still exists after a complete reinitalisation of my phone. I wrote to Cyclemeter developers about it. Then I realized that all the PDF files elsewhere on my phone, or in a Google Drive, would open normally, with Adobe Acrobat. Only the PDF files from within an Evernote note would have this very strange behaviour. So it does not appear to be a Cyclemeter problem. But just in case, as you can see on the screenshot, no file types are associated with Cyclemeter. Certainly not the PDF files. Any clue???

An issue I always had: I often add a note using my personal evernote email address. For some reasons, unknown to me, these notes seem to decide which notebooks they belong to, and they do a very bad job at it. Can we have the program put them in the default notebook?

Hi. Anybody had this problem? Evernote keeps reinstalling itself, each time I restart my desktop. I am using 6.20.2.8626 (308626) Public. I did not upgrade to 6.22 yet after seeing posts talking about numerous issues. i do not have much time to troubleshoot things these days. Thanks, have a good day.

Hi. Although I use Evernote all the time (32 500+ notes), I am struggling with the lack of consistency between the editions I use (Windows, web-based, Android). How is it possible to search within a notebook in the Android client? It seems there is no way to reduce the scope of the search, while you can easily do that in the web-based and Windows client. Also: is it possible to merge two notes in the web-based client and the Android client?

There is a thread on the subject. https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/102926-windows-client-slow/?page=2 and another one...

Please... make this software run instead of crawling... This is all I ask from now on. The features are already there.

REQUEST: Evernote Archive

So... if you replace the Trash tag by Archive, at least mentally, you get the Archive solution a lot of people are hoping for? Seems too good to be true. -
REQUEST: Evernote Archive

This is exactly why it is interesting, from my point-of-view. And they can be restored to be fully featured again. Do they lose their tags and other meta-data? -

Did not think about it! Yes, it seems to share a lot with the EN trash. -
REQUEST: Evernote Archive
fredhammersmith replied to patricksan's question in General Feature Requests
I have a little workaround for this same problem I used to have. Just like you, I have a stack named Archive. Now, let's say U have this Project Stack, called PROJECT X with notebooks inside this stack, named "X - BUDGET", "X - CALENDAR", "X - CREW", etc. When the project is over, I take all the notes inside "X-BUDGET", and I tagged them "X - Budget" all the notes inside "X-CALENDAR", and I tagged them "X-Calendar", etc. Then I move a all the notes (properly tagged) from all the notebooks inside the "PROJECT X" stack in a new Notebook called "PROJECT X (arch)." And I move this notebook ("PROJECT X (arch).") in the ARCHIVE stack. May looks complicated, but actually, it takes me about 15 minutes to close a project of 2000-3000 notes and archive it this way. This way it is very easy eventually to "recreate" the old hierarchy of notebooks. Or to access the notes according to their previous notebook . -
REQUEST: Evernote Archive
fredhammersmith replied to patricksan's question in General Feature Requests
The two things I really would love to see in Evernote: archive switch favorite switch Yes I am using tags for both. But at almost 22K notes, the lack of a real archiving functionality is really showing.
