    Hard agree. This is unbelievably annoying. I prefer to check for updates manually, but even if it must be automatic - I never want to see a dialog unless it's informing me there's an update waiting. "Everything's OK" alerts are just nonsense. I too have looked for some kind of setting, searched web and forums.
