  1. So you downgraded the app to a previous version, and left the database at a different version. You need to completely remove Evernote; app, database, components, ... The app AppCleaner is recommended for this. Install the Evernote app, login, and the database will be rebuilt from the servers Warning: the rebuild doesn't include Local Notebooks or unsync'd notes.
  2. Its not cool tacking on to an ongoing discussion. You should post in the request forums or add your vote to an existing discussion.
  3. I guess it's a good sign that you only have one frustration; there are so many issues. However, this discussion is about a change to the subscription plans.
  4. Like your notes are being automatically filed?
  5. 1. Evernote has a container element - the Note This can contain rich text (html), images, pdfs, office/iwork documents, and any other format files Notes can be linked, internally or externally Notes/Nortebooks/Spaces can be shared 2. Tags/Notebooks instead of Folders/Sub-Folders 3. Extensive Search
  6. fwiw Use the dot beside each row or at the top of each column It adds a single row or column
  7. My exit from Evernote will be a 45 minute data export; the easiest of all my moves. It's already running in my weekly full backup. However, I haven't found a better service to store my data.
  8. I see no reason to over react to the news. Existing users are not impacted. My Plus account option is safe through 2019. Our databases continue to be safe. >>Safe to say that most premium users are seriously committed or wealthy. I don't think this is valid (wealthy), certainly not for myself. It's more that the price point is not a significant factor; Economics 101 - Price Elasticity of Demand As to committed, it's the way I'm wired. I was equally committed to the previous product, and will be for the next product.
  9. The Tags attribute works closer to folders in Finder. The limit on tags is 100,000 and they can be organized into an infinite hierarchy,
  10. I was just having fun with the note vs document thing. Yes, Evernote could improve the editor and add features. The only limitation is the enml/html format used for notes. My point was was that I'm not going to be restricted by any limitations with the Evernote editor. I am going to use the tools that provide me the features I need.
  11. It is called Evernote; not Everdocument Actually, Evernote can store files of any format. My data contains many documents.
  12. Login to the other account and change that email address. You can create a throw-away address at gmail for this purpose.
  13. The Windows/Mac platforms support offline use; maintaining a full copy of the data on the device. The Basic account device limit is two simultaneous devices, and doesn't count web access. if there was a "fatally limited" point, it would be the upload limit. Even then, the Windows/Mac platforms support Local Notebooks.
  14. Select multiple notes - use command-click or shift-click A box opens up allowing block actions; adding tags is at the bottom >>please associate "keyword" with tag as that is how some users think about tags - as keywords to search on. I think a keyword is free form text within a note
  15. A money connection seems obvious for any decision making, but how do you connect this to a buy-out, or to any specific company?
  16. I could manage with the Basic account features, except for the upload limits. My limit for the month would be reached in the first week. Even then, I could switch to a Local Notebook.
  17. I'm using a Mac and have back<>forward arrows. - customize the toolbar if they're missing I can open multiple notes, each in their own window, or under tabs in a single window
  18. You could post a feature request in the forum at https://discussion.evernote.com/forum/304-general-feature-requests/ This topic is a scanner settings issue from a user.
  19. When I use the public url in a browser, I get this display I can chose to join the notebook, and a shared notebook will be added to my account.
  20. Evernote has a Share Notebook feature. It automatically maintains a copy of the notes in the user's account. You set the access level to read only, or edit. Documentation at https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208314748-Share-notebooks
  21. Is this a general request, or were you intending a specific device/patform? I'm guessing its specific to Macs and I've moved the discussion to the Mac forum
  22. I agree, but I think this is an IOS limitation. Windows/Mac handle this so well'; the attachment is exported to the file system, edited, then imported back to the note. IOS really sucks at this; there is no automatic import back to the note.
  23. I actually have a single daily calendar link to my daily journal note. Not sure why I need your proposed link to a note list. I can use the Evernote search feature to produce a note list for any given day (created:yymmdd)
  24. This should be a different discussion; please provide details on your search terms.
