As a paid client since 2012 (this post is 2024), Evernote 10.* makes evernote unusable. searching no longer finds my notes as in previous version (6.*). I can't find stuff. Previously, Evernote was a stuff catcher where I can find stuff. Not anymore. Search and filtering is intrusive and not intuitive Launching evernote is slow. Updates install automatically with no ability to approve or disable. Tags, shortcuts, notebooks are difficult to use, not an ease to use. Keyboard Shortcuts have been destroyed. my guess is that Evernote client (windows/macos, etc) is no longer local but a client/server interface. IT SUCKS and is terrible! v 6.* and previous made evernote usable and popular. v 10.* destroys usability. Please stop with the system tray Evernote. QUIT MAKING ME CLOSE EVERNOTE 4 TIMES TO QUIT EVERNOTE. You devs (or CIO, etc) obviously don't use evernote. My guess, is some CIO or software architect came in with a new gui paradigm which f'd up everything. Whatever you were thinking, you were wrong. Obviously, you don't use Evernote. v 10.* drives me to search for an alternative.

To clarify "Evernote v10 Nonsense" 1. Did evernote do any user acceptance testing and sample survey your customer base? 2. Evernote v10+ looks like a fatclient wrapper for the Evernote web version, and it's worse than using Flash (or is it Java? or is it Go?). 3. For Evernote corp's info, Evernote had long standing issues people have asked to fix (formatting, tables, undo that works, etc ). Replacing mediocrity with incompetence is not a solution. v10+ completely lost keyboard shortcuts (go ahead and just shove a ribbon down our throat). Sincerely with love, EverFrustratiion

Agreed about the worse version. Been on Evernote since 2012. I've hesitated moving to OneNote, but with this v10 nonsense, no incentive to keep my subscription and stay. Commence migration to Onenote.
