Android App terribly slow

The redesign of Evernote around version 10 for Mac also made the Android version very slow. I am still using v7 on Mac b/c it is so much faster than v10. I wish I could find the older version of the Android app. Evernote is adding features and reducing usability at an alarming rate. -
PLEASE make this a feature. Evernote's formatting of pasted text is abysmal. When working with code, I am constantly having to convert the note to plain text numerous times. So irritating.
