No, it's not the legacy client with the grey dock icon, but the 7.14 downloadable from a thread here. Might the Legacy version be different, apart from that it does not auto-update?

Thanks, PinkElephant. I've given Evernote all the permissions it may ask for in System Pref > Security & Privacy (in most cases I've unauthorised and then reauthorised access). I've now made a request ticket to Evernote support. I posted about the issue here first, since that is what Evernote encourages users with problems to do (ask the community before getting a ticket).

Hello, I have been using Evernote Desktop ver. 7.14 on MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports). Recently I updated the macOS from High Sierra to Mojave (10.14.6), and now when I launch Evernote, the window shows up, but nothing gets loaded in it: notes, notebooks, tags, or anything else. Clicking the sync button makes the icon turn around, but nothing gets synchronised (downloaded). I signed out and back in, revoked and re-granted access to the MBP, deleted and reinstalled the app (Version 7.14 (458244 Direct); I am not ready to move on to ver. 10), and recreated full text/spotlight search indices—all to no avail. Then, on the Evernote web app, everything seems to be there. And I discovered that, if I create a new note or edit an existing note on the web app, just these items get synchronised and displayed in the Desktop app. (I have not tried to create a new note or edit an existing note on the Desktop app, fearing that that might erase all the notes stored on the server…) I searched round this forum, but was not able to find a comparable issue being discussed. Could anyone shed light on this? It seems to be a matter of somehow forcing the contents stored on the server pushed down to the desktop app. Looking at the log, I think the problem might be one of telling the app the right object ID for URI corresponding to each note. Here is a couple of representative sample lines from the activity log: I would be grateful if someone could tell me how to resolve the issue. Many thanks in advance!
