  1. I'm running Evernote for Mac v. 10.66.4 now. As I'd noted above, the problem I'd had disappeared as of version 10.65.4.
  2. Thanks for your reply. I've found that immediately reloading the web pages rarely solves this error, but if I leave page and come back to it later, I can often clip it without the error.
  3. Sometimes I get the error "too many resources" when trying to clip a web page with Web Cliipper. (I'm using Evernote for Mac, v10.65.3 on a Mac running v14.1.1.) This happens with Safari or Chrome (both latest versions). How can I still clip the page? (My workaround has been to use Safari, send the page to Apple Mail and email it to my Evernote.)
  4. Once I updated to Evernote for Mac v10.65.3, the problems I was having, noted above, disappeared. 🙂 When I go to the link you gave above and select, say, for technical issues, I get this (see screenshot): simply a blank, white window below my choice. Not helpful.
  5. Unlike the past (and I've used Evernote for many years now, have nearly 100,000 Notes), I looked yesterday and today for how to contact Support and couldn't find any way to do it *now*. Even finding this Forum took a lot of time. Do you have a URL for how to place a request (as I did in the past) via a Support page chat box/email to them, to get an email reply? When I've looked under "Help and Support" I get just topics. Some pages have had in red letters that Evernote seems to be rebuilding/redoing how they offer support. (See screenshot.) When I even used their Search bae to find this Forum, I got no hits that helped.
  6. The problem has come back (not allowing to delete), though it was working a few minutes ago... 😞 I also can't move Notes from one Notebook to another. I also can't duplicate a Note.
  7. Problem finally solved! 🙂 I reinstalled from the installer file off Evernote.com. I signed in to Evernote, signed out of Evernote. Using the latest version of CleanMyMac X with its Uninstaller feature, I chose Evernote. It found and selected 4 files, uninstalled them. I shut down my Mac. I rebooted my Mac. I reinstalled from the installer file off Evernote.com I signed in. Finally I could delete files (send to Trash) as well as duplicate them, which I couldn't do hours ago. **** One step I'd missed from @gazumped was the shutting down my Mac, rebooting. So *maybe* AppCleaner would have worked if I'd done those steps.
  8. I'm trying all this again, but using the Uninstall feature of CleanMyMac x instead of AppCleaner, since that seems not to work (for me)
  9. I just got a notice that under Settings > Privacy & Security, AppCleaner *now* needs permission to operate(!) That hadn't shown up earlier.
  10. The EN files are in the Trash. I don't think I've ever removed an app from the App Store before. In the App Store it simply shows that I can download Evernote (with that icon), nothing about removing it from the App Store. Thanks for your help. I hadn't realized this fix would be so complex.
  11. Noted. Thanks! In signing out of Evernote, I chose *not* to save a backup locally, which I trust was the right choice. 😉 Is there a difference between downloading Evernote fresh from Evernote.com vs. the App Store? Newer versions first on Evernote.com?
  12. AppCleaner isn't in the App Store, so I'm assuming the latest version here will be fine: https://freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/
  13. Thanks for the replies. 1/I have CleanMyMac X, latest version. That has an uninstall feature included. Think that could do what AppCleaner does? 2/ how to remove the Evernote database?
  14. I'm typically running the latest versions of my software, including Evernote for Mac. I think it was yesterday I updated to 10.65.2. What I've discovered is that I now can't duplicate Notes. I also can't delete Notes (even by dragging them to the left column to the Trash category. In both cases, I get a small read warning "Failed to delete note." I went to Evernote Web. There I *can* delete Notes (to the Trash). But I can't duplicate a Note. I searched and found the official way to do it in Evernote Web at https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052533433-Make-a-copy-of-a-note. But that says to go to the 3 dots and to Duplicate the Note or Copy to to duplicate the Note to a different Notebook. Unfortunately, the only choice I get under the 3 dots is "Copy notelink," not the other 2 choices to allow duplicating the Note. In Evernote for Mac, I did try repeatedly, quitting and relaunching the app. I also rebooted my Mac (which is running macOS 14.1. Neither solve the Evernote issue. Help, please!
  15. Thanks for your quick reply. I'm able to switch to Classic, select my Notebook to share, bring up the Menu with Share, but that doesn't result in a URL to share(!) Any Help on that?
  16. In the past, Evernote tech support said I could go to Evernote Web and switch my preference to Classic Evernote. That was to enable me to share a Notebook via a URL, not just via specific users (as in my current Evernote for Mac and the current view of Evernote.com on the Web). I can't seem to find anywhere in the current settings on Evernote Web to make this switch to the Classic view. Help, please? (I've just spent about 1.5 hrs. trying to find either a way to ask Evernote for tech support, as in the past, or a way to post my question here. When I tried to create a new topic, the best choice was grayed out(!)
  17. I have the Evernote Scannable app v2.5 (2524) on my iPhone (running iOS 16.4. For several weeks (months?) now, I haven't been able to immediately delete a scan (say, a bad one) from Scannable. So if I don't like the first scan and take another, I have to export/send that .pdf. Then I typically have to get it on my Mac in order to go into the .pdf and delete the first scene (1st page). I haven't had this problem in the past with Scannable not letting me immediately delete a scan I didn't like. Help, please?
  18. As I'd mentioned in my post, I'd already dumped the Trash in Evernote.
  19. A few minutes ago, I accidentally deleted a Note (dumped the Trash in Evernote for Mac, latest version, v10.45.5. It was a Note which Evernote I guess auto-created yesterday as a backup. I'd checked to see this had the latest additions to the Note, but still ended up Trashing the wrong one. I tried going to Note > Note History, but the version that's listed was backed up about 5 hrs. before I added the latest content. So I didn't try to retrieve that Note. Is it possible for Evernote tech support to retrieve the actual Note I accidentally Trashed today? Or is that likely gone forever?
  20. @MikeP Thanks for the help! I would never have guessed that I'd have to run the Saved Search before I could delete it! - Dennis
