I am not sure what the other artificial intelligence advantages are that you mention, but EF works great for my needs, without the continued headaches seen with EN. I guess I am lucky in that I don't need to access my files remotely all the time, and have the other needs you have. I like my simple life! It is quite nice! JM, I think you should also take a look at EagleFiler, by C-Command Software: https://c-command.com (Mac based only) EagleFiler can do all that DT and EN can do, without the cloud, with the Encryption, can upload to any cloud of your choice for mobile use, etc. EF has been a life saver for me in going completely paperless. I can tell you are excited about DT, which is a nice product. However, I have found EF to be quite a bit simpler, easy to use, with great tools. The EF web clipper is fantastic as well. Good Luck!
  3. I am using EN 5.6.0 Direct. Yosemite 10.10 The best I can do is; Right Click in the body of the Note Choose Convert to PDF It creates a New Note with a PDF of the original Note. Then Drag-n-Drop the PDF from the Note wherever you want to, such as your Desktop. I hope this helps.
  4. In hindsight, I feel it necessary to apologize. My lack of knowledge on the data appearing in my account frustrated me and I allowed that frustration to ferment.   6. I would very much like to hear from an Evernote employee about several issues. However, they simply will not respond! I will be on the sidelines watching and listening, waiting for one of two things to happen: EN will either step up to the plate or they will continue their nonchalant, indifference to it's users.
  7. Agree BNF! I too feel like I lost a friend. That emotion was my only drive to attempt deeper communication with EN. However, like you, I need to move on as well. I do hope they come back with better service and support. They have a potentially great product and I could excuse some of the bugs IF there was simply better communication from EN.   8. Here is my latest update with EN Support as of today. If you use a Third Party App integration with Evernote, please BECAREFUL! I submitted a ticket requesting an update on the Open Ticket I had regarding Notes and Notebooks appearing in my account in June 2014.   9. Interesting to hear a Business/Premium user has to wait days before getting a response. Very sorry to hear this, but it is not the first time, I grant you that! There is no telling what they will find in regards to the dates changing. I am using EN Version 5.6.0 public and will not be upgrading to any newer version because of so many bugs and issues being reported. Good luck with Support.   10. Hi Jo. I am not sure I will be able to help, but I will try since no one else has responded to your post as of yet. What version of the EN client are you using? Do I understand you correct when you say, the modification dates are changing without anyone actually making any changes to the Notes? Is anything else about the Notes changing? Such as Tags assigned to them, the Notebooks they are assigned to, etc? In regards to EN Support not responding to you, I am assuming you submitted a Support Ticket. What date and time did you submit the Ticket?
  11. I could not say it better! With this in mind, I am having difficulty migrating toward anything that will not allow my OS to search for and use my files without the app that organized them. (I think I said that right) Thus, having an app to organize the files in their original format, with the ability to clip items (web, email, etc) into a format I can readily use a basic app for editing, etc. Otherwise, in 2-3 years, I should only expect to face the same dilemma I am faced with now!   17. Hi, Welcome to the Forum. Sorry you had so much difficulty in deleting a Notebook. It must be frustrating for anyone who does not know how to do this yet.   18. I have already mentioned the security breach I experienced with Evernote (EN) this year. There is not much more to add except the following: June 2014 4 Notebooks appeared in one of my Evernote accounts. Notebook A contained 2 Notes. Notebook B contained 7 Notes. Notebook C contained 1 Note Notebook D contained 1 Note I notified Evernote Support via their Support Ticket System along with an Activity Log.   20. @GM: You are right on target! A blanket message to all of EN user should have been published announcing the "leakage", and the steps they are taking to remedy the issue. But we get nothing! Unethical is one word. There is another I would use, but it seems to be too subjective of a term. It is easy to down play such a situation hoping time will let it pass.   21. Well, that is part of my extreme dissatisfaction with EN. NO! I gave them full access to my account and they could not determine how someone else's data showed up in my account. They investigated it quite a while (over 2 months) with no answers. I have much more to say about the issue, but I promised EN I would not express the remaining here.   22. I have been using SpiderOak for my sensitive files for the zero knowledge encryption and have found it's simplicity refreshing! @GM: Agreed!
