  1. Still can't get along with EverNote 10

Why put the add tag section separate to the "Move to Notebook" section?  They should be together.

Evernote 10 looks pretty but has lost the usability completely.  People who use Evernote a great deal often use list view to get a good list that can easily be viewed.  The new design in Evernite 10 is set with too little information viewable on a page.  Looks nice but *****!

I have been forced to use Legacy version of Evernote in the hope the Company sees sense.  If Legacy dropped, I will be forced to find something else.  So disappointed as loved Evernote as it was.

I brought this up in the preview and beta and still there has been no feedback from the devs on it.

    • The UI size and use of space is terrible, on the windows version I have to zoom out in view twice to get it to a decent size, but this causes it's own issues as below
    • The default size 16 text is far too big and there is no options to set the defaults to your own choosing, also one of the reasons I have to zoom out as the size of text on the screen is too big
    • Older notes where I did have text sizes set (and also using code blocks) are now really small as I have had to zoom out - frustrating
    • To compensate on the mobile client I have had to set the note zoom level to 70% and get the same issue as above with older notes
    • If i don't zoom out on the windows client in snippet view I can only see 5 and a half notes in the list, due to the default sizing
    • Also because I am zooming out, the left panel content size is not ideal as this is using a smaller text size to that in the notes itself

Why the move to massive font sizes, who uses size 16 as a default standard text size in anything?

At first I also thought maybe the client wasn't adjusting for high DPI displays but it is the same on several machines.

And this is just the view issues, not to mention other things mentioned in preview/beta such as:

    • Tool bar missing
    • No options for things like default settings and preferences
    • Right click context menu on the left panel
    • Presentation mode removed
    • Issues with links (showing the link again which you have to click to go to)

Totally agreed.  I am struggling to use this new version at all.  Adding tags is especially poor and not reliable.  Just awful!

I have never seen an software update that has made so many things worse, taken away good things and replaced them with bad things.

Old version, easy to remove column on left, now this has to be done manually every time.
I don't want a Colum on the left, but have to click Expand Note every single time, it does not remember my settings.
This is insane, it is also very annoying.

    2
Where do I remove spellcheck, no options I can find. Old version, this was easy to do

    3
How do i remove the editing bar, in the old version this was easy to do.

    4
It is very slow opening, old version very fast

    5
No customise button, so I cannot get rid of Share, only you, insert - all things I do not want

Can anyone tell me how to get back to the old version?

Instead of making this quicker, simpler and more easy to use, it is slower, more complicated and more difficult to use.

    Why?

Get the legacy version.  I have for now whilst I look for an alternative.  Nimbus looks good.  Cannot believe Evernote have destroyed their own product.

Too many performance issues and missing features for me. Detailed some of them here in my blog.

There have been others since. All of them reported through Feedback in version 10.

But now I have to get back to working with the modicum of efficiency I had developed for myself using v. 6.25. Finding my way in v 10 is proving to be far too time consuming.

I'll be checking in on the forums etc. to see if things seem to improve.

Also will be taking fresh looks at competitive products like Nimbus, which seems to be catching the eye of enough EN power users that I feel obligated (to myself) to check it out.

Been paid user with EN for 10 years last April, currently storing about 20k notes. Hate that I'm seriously considering moving on after all that time invested in my processes within EN, but maybe this is a wooden door closing and an iron door opening.

100% agree.  I am so so disappointed in this release.  Too many changes.  Some of us use this tool for work, at home and everything.  I cannot use this new release efficiently at all and Nimbus is looking like a better option.

I'm with Richard. Releasing a dysfunctional "upgrade" like this is unbelievable, Asinine stupidity. You don't replace a solid version of software with "a work in progress" without half the features of the previous version. No excuse. About 20 min into Ver10, I was so mad I couldn't see straight. Trying to get work done and hitting walls every time I tried to do something. Back to legacy.

    Evernote 10 is so bad!
