About vboudry

  1. Hum there is at least two failures in this add-on: First technically it doesn't work all the time: I had unchecked this box 'show PDF' etc, but it came back when I restarted my session. Second as a GUI: the user has to press the "record now" to access the recording options, at the bottom of which one should check the global options, to find at the very bottom this check box. If the purpose is to incite people to explore the possible options of the clipper, it is a good strategy, but I doubt this is what is wanted. For UI, this is typically the Windows Start button: why do I have to press "start" button to switch off my computer ? Adding a «yes, I know, don't bother me again» button would be more appropriate or even a «get to options» button (ideally pointing to the relevant check box directly and not the top of the option list. Looks very much like an unthought addition to the add-on, to be corrected before too many person find it easier to deactivate it. Best!
  2. Images & Table resizeing, please! (and not only in the online version!)
  3. Hum. Sorry there is one complication: autosizing is adapating to the longest word in a given column. So it could be adjusted by using underscores or any non blanc character for ex. in title (no ideal but usable).
  4. I have just tried a 1 pixel width table and the net effect is adaption of all column width to the content of columns. I guess this will become my default choice from now on.. That might be workaround to many of the requests. Vincent.
  5. I have read a bit the topics about voting and feature or bug correction requests, and I find the position against voting a bit surrealistic... Do you prefer to have a lot of people add + 1 post and counting them by hand ? Or unconsciously (adding frustration on both sides) ? The actual system more or less works on feeling («I read all the post»). I would much prefer to add a vote on a topic than annoying everyone with +1 posts, and I don't want to spend more time on describing feature that have been already asked many times. The basic question is the collection of information : how can you guess the wish of people, most annoying «features», long ignored ones ? See the vote as «buying» features, have more people participate and have a better overview of the situation once in a while. If one needs a last argument: someone mentioned democracy in forums, but I think the analogy is really economic: it's planned economy («send me your wish») vs liberal one («buy what you like»): the later simply works much better because information passing is built-in. Time for revolution now. Best regards
  6. +1 No voting system for most demanded features in this forum ?
  7. Hi, Is there a way to avoid any interpretation or attachment of a link being dropped ? I would like to add link to local documents or mail (using postbox), maybe holding shift or alt when dropping them. Best regards, V. Boudry PS: Sorry I just noticed this forum was for the windows version, I use the mac version, but that's where I found this thread on link which should be universal.
