About varpness

  1. I cancelled my Evernote subscription a couple of years ago because of the way a rude forum member responded to my request, basically telling me that Evernote was probably not going to accommodate my request. I'd hate to see the company lose more subscribers due to aggressive and unnecessarily hostile responses from Evernote Evangelists. If you take offense to this, then you might be the problem we are talking about, otherwise, if it's not you, don't take offense and move on. If any user feels a post by any other user violates the terms of the forum, they are free to use the report button that appears on each & every post. However, simply not liking a post or not agreeing with a post does not mean it violates the terms of the forum. I would also add that if you cancelling your service b/c of a forum post is pretty silly on several levels. But it's certainly your choice. Now, back on topic please or else this thread will be locked. I never said someone violated the terms of the forum, but you just did. Did I ask you to tell me if my decision was silly or not? No, so please don't insult me again or I will report you.

  3. Add me to the list of people who want stacks that go deeper than one level. There's no reason we shouldn't make this request, and if you are an old forum member and you don't like people asking for new features, then perhaps you should go find an app that doesn't have a discussion board.
  4. Is there a way to force Evernote for Android to run the phone version on my Nexus 7 tablet? The reason I'm asking is because the tag tree on the phone version acts the way a person would expect, pressing the back button will go up on level on the tag tree. The tablet version of Android shows the main menu slide out whenever I press the back key, and it's impossible to go up a level on the tag tree without going through the tag tree from the start. EDIT: Okay, I figured out there is a button near the top of each level of the tag tree that allows one to go up the tree one level. I was accustomed to using the back button on my phone that I didn't realize there was a way to do it on the tablet using a back arrow at the top of the tree. I'll leave this post up in case others come across the same confusion.
  5. I would like to second this request, but also mention that Evernote running on my Android phone does just what it's supposed to do, the back button goes up the tag tree one level. However, Evernote running on my Nexus 7 tablet works the way gustavgi says, the back button opens some side panel and does not go up the tree, causing frustration.
  6. Would it be possible to get an updated version of Alpha 3 with the correct embedded version number, just so we can get it to stop hounding us about updated it to the latest version, even though we are already running the latest version? Thanks. Also, alpha 2 is still stickied.
  7. I'm pretty sure it IS Alpha3 but just mislabeled. Check to see if you are getting the Alpha3 features, like a tag tree.
  8. Another possible bug? My Android is reporting this version of Evernote to be alpha 2.
  9. I just tried it and YES!! it's perfect! That's EXACTLY what I needed for my hierarchy of tags! You folks are awesome! INSTANT premium member, and I don't have to read ignorant replies from a certain fast food enthusiast anymore. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN.
  10. Have you tried turning it off and on again?
  11. I removed my posts and decided to avoid interacting with users on this forum due to extremely childish behavior and mistreatment of those with differing opinions. However, I heard about this post through the grapevine and decided to log in once in order to give my thanks for working to implement a tag tree. I'm sure not to be the only one who orders a premium membership once this feature is implemented. Thank you again.
