  1. Because you don't 'own' the note and the history is reserved for the owner.
  2. It does some of the stuff that Evernote does, some things that EN doesn't do (Markdown for example), and some things are missing that have become a key part of my Evernote workflow (Input folders for example). And much the same could be said for all the alternative note taking apps. If I switch my workflow will be broken and I'll have to find a means to move my notes. For now I have no reason to move and every reason to stay put. That could change when my renewal comes around.
  3. I'll let you know. I haven't used it yet. I think that the release notes said the focus was on stabilising existing features that weren't performing as required plus some bug resolutions.
  4. I got a new update yesterday so I think that lack of development is not, yet, proven. But, yes, prices are increasing.
  5. The usual resolution for this kind of issue is to uninstall using Revo Uninstaller (Windows) then reinstall. I'm not sure what access there's is to Note History for notes that have been shared with me. That happens very rarely for me so I cannot check.
  6. Not just a tactic of Project Management. Many of the online applications for personal productivity seen to demand a registration before you can discover a price. I've walked away from a number of products for that reason. In fact I suspect that if I was coming to Evernote as a newbie I might easily walk away for the same reason 🤪 The new owners have chosen to push pricing off the front page. Getting a price for Personal and Professional seems easy enough but Teams appears to require interaction with the sales team. https://evernote.com/teams/contact
  7. You are correct that the web browser is the place to start. Everything syncs, first, to the cloud. So what you can see in the web version of Evernote has come from a device that is sync-ing. Anything missing point to the device(s) that have an issue. Do what @PinkElephant has suggested for the devices that aren't sync-ing.
  8. I've seen this on my system too. Again Windows 11 and the current version of Evernote. It started immediately following a recent update for Windows. Fortunately, for me, I had the Evernote windows across the two monitors so it was easy to maximise Evernote the laptop screen when the additional monitor is disconnected.
  9. You say that you pay for your Evernote subscription. If so you can use a 2FA authentication app. I use it all the time. Free users are limited to SMS only.
  10. Are you still using v10.43? If so Is recommend that you get updated. At least v10.48.1 In still waiting for 10.49.1 If you've got the update and reminders are not working then, yes, open a support ticket.
  11. I don't use mobile notifications all that often - mostly because my device and version of Android don't deliver notifications in a timely manner. But Evernote has done so for me in the past. I set a reminder for a task and a note notification as a trial and they both triggered as expected albeit a minute or two after the scheduled time because of the device issue.
  12. You say you have Evernote v10.43 on Android 10. The current release of Evernote for Android is 10.49.1 so update your app. If you don't have notifications etc working then uninstall and reinstall might be a good option. Then, as @bmcl26 says, check that notifications for Evernote are enabled in the device settings.
  13. I previously turned off Work Chat. At the time it improved sync. I've no idea if it still helps although it's still disabled for me. I'm told that the latest release v10.49.1 is much improved. I don't believe that sync runs in the background.
  14. I'm really not sure that sorting by location is entirely useful or intuitive whereas I do see that sorting by reminder time could be useful. But each to his/her own... It is still possible to search by location: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313828-Use-advanced-search-syntax Professional and Teams subscribers can also search within a particular distance of a location.
  15. @Mike P I confess that I hadn't checked this. I, too, find, that some US English spellings are accepted on my other UK configured device. However, that shouldn't be a problem for @AndrewDG since he should still see his local spellings accepted...
  16. Evernote users the device language. So, for example, a Windows PC with is language set to UK English will do language checks in British English.
  17. So it is possible that Evernote still believes you have four devices connected in which case you could be locked out. https://www.evernote.com/Devices.action
  18. There are a number of reported issues working with Gboard gestures. Search the forums for Gboard. It is evident that Evernote & Gboard don't play well together. It isn't clear whether the issue is with Gboard or with Evernote. Try opening support tickets with both applications and let us know if you find any answers.
  19. No, Evernote sends reminders via the app notifications.
  20. You may only use one device but Evernote retains a history of devices. I can see five devices listed in my account but I use just three.
  21. This is definitely not the way things should work and I've not seen this. I'd recommend that you uninstall using Revo Uninstaller. Then download the latest version from Evernote.com and reinstall. The direct download is a better option than the Microsoft store version. Use Revo Uninstaller since the standard Windows uninstall leaves lots of files behind.
  22. Yes. Since the master copy is in the cloud it can always be recovered. The only Legacy notebooks that are not in the cloud are local offline notebooks. These should be exported to ENEX prior to deletion or the contents transferred to an online notebook.
  23. A subscription is required to access tasks from the central Tasks view
  24. Great. That means my experience isn't useful. I've not had the update to 49.1 yet.
  25. I can say that I just recorded audio which was saved in a note and was playable. But that may not help much. Which version of the mobile app are you using?
