  1. I think the suggestion that Samsung phones seem to play less well with Evernote arises from the fact that there have, in the past at least, been rather more complaints about issues with Samsung units than other brands. However, I think that isn't entirely surprising. Samsung has the dominant market share of Android phones and tablets so an evenly spread set of problems will likely generate more isues from Samsung devices than other makes. That's all to say I'm not sure that we can say that Samsung phones are more likely to exhibit problems with Evernote v10.
  2. This is the standard of writing for many, many, many mobile applications these days. An attempt at jollity which tells those interested nothing useful. Now that I have joined the ranks of grumpy old men I just moved on. As for the longed for sync updates, I hear that there's been progress.
  3. Evernote v10 does not sure a local copy as an EXB file. But the local data are stored in a single directory structure. %AppData%\Evernote on Windows with the direct download application. To be honest the master copy is in the cloud so a local version is probably not very useful. If you really want to retain a local backup I would recommend one of the documented backup options recorded in the forums. I use a GitHub project called evernote-backup
  4. The Outlook integration has been in beta test for sometime. Perhaps it will arrive soon or perhaps there are significant challenges. Until then, a workaround is all you have available.
  5. Personally speaking, I have no interest in AI in Evernote and really hope that the many other issues are tackled long before AI gets attention. I, too, am ill at ease with my note data feeding the brain.
  6. You can select the default view in settings but it isn't retroactive. It will only affect PDFs added from the date the change is made. Also, it doesn't affect all ways of adding a PDF. Some PDF import will always default to single page view. (For example using import folders)
  7. I'm not sure I fully understand what you require. Can you describe what would happen? In the meantime you could look at the website publishing options of https://postach.io
  8. Thanks. You should pop the suggestion across to Evernote via the Feedback option in the app as well as here.
  9. I've been using AHK for awhile. It provides me a shortcut to stamp a date & time in my preferred format. I also have it scripted to do with one key stroke what would otherwise take multiple taps.
  10. On a Windows keyboard Alt+0151 is an em-dash and Alt+0150 is the slightly shorter en-dash. Slightly more keystrokes than two hyphens but not seriously so. And, as @Mike Psays, very amenable to a AutoHotKey script.
  11. What featues would you expect for 20Euro per year?
  12. Evernote staff rarely respond in these forums. If you want a response the best way is to raise a support ticket.
  13. But it sounds like two separate accounts. An old one with the old data on the new phone and the other which you have been using with your computer.
  14. If this is important to you then you should explore the options elsewhere. This function/feature is unlikely to arrive at anytime on the near future.
  15. Create Import Folders at location on your computer. They need not be in Google Drive. Create the folder(s) you require In Evernote settings connect these folders to the notebooks that you want to use. These links will only work when the PC is running. They will catch up as soon as you start the PC and launch Evernote.
  16. Which I believe is what is happening...
  17. If you have access to the notes in your desktop application then I'd suggest that the first task is to export whatever is possible. Probably access each notebook and export then notes in an ENEX file. At the very least export all the notes which have not synchronised to the web in the two weeks you've been experiencing the issue. The best way for that is to create a new notebook called anything you like such as unsynced notes. Then move all these notes into that notebook. Finally export that notebook as an ENEX. Once you have done that you you can fully uninstall the Evernote application confident that you have a backup of the unsynced notes. Do the uninstall using a free program called Revo Uninstaller (for Windows). Revo Uninstaller will ensure that the corrupted program files are fully removed. Now, download the latest Evernote program from https://evernote.com/download Install it and let the program rebuild your data from the cloud. Assuming that works then you can reinstall the unsynced notes using a File Import. That won't fix your login challenges with support but should get you going again.@evernotehelps on Twitter may be your only means of contacting support if you cannot login or possibly a chat session if you are trying during Evernote office hours.
  18. I think you wold probably find things easier with a third party application if you are using a mobile device. I scan, a little, with Camscanner on an Android phone then share the result to Evernote. Mostly I scan via my desktop scanner wi=hich works seemlessly.
  19. I don't believe that there is a mechanism that would assist with this. You could explore the API links to see if you could write a piece of code to extract all your data but I suspect that it will be far from straightforward for you. The new owners are pondering how to enable AI options within Evernote. That will undoubtedly be sometime away.
  20. Please do not double post. Already answered in the Android threads.
  21. These folding devices do work differentlys so I would expect some apps to have problems which the developers have to address. I don't believe there are any solutions other opena support ticket. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
  22. This is a great hack. Just remember to move the attachments to a new location before deleting the HTML file.
  23. When a shared note is not unshared by the owner they get orphaned with the 'sharee'. You can ask for help from support to remove the uwated, orphaned note but the best thing in the meantime is to create an orhpaned notebook and move these notes there so that they are out of sight.
  24. There were problems for ARM processors mentioned a year or two back. I recall that the solution was to use the store installation which you have discovered.
  25. We all have different requirements and should use whichever service best meets our needs. Like @Dave-in-Decatur, I wonder how a lifetime subscription of USD25 is in anyway sustainable.
