  1. Creation of personal templates is only available to paid subscriptions. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001929468-Use-templates
  2. Thanks for the information. Sadly, the idea I had isn't possible with a Personal account. As for threats to leave, you need to communicate with Evernote. These forums are primarily user-to-user support. Staff are only here infrequently. You can open a support ticket to make your point.
  3. It actually applies to all apps that run through the API. Similarly described in another thread
  4. Just found time to check and the Google Drive stuff works well for me. I wonder if you've tried a full uninstall using the Revo Uninstaller for Windows. I suspect that you probably have from a contribution you made in a different thread but just in case...
  5. Good that somebody has a memory and not a forgettery. I argue that my storage is full so anything new in at the top pushes stuff lower down into an archive that I often fail to access
  6. 10.56.9 isn't a beta release. If you want to be certain then you can uninstall the application from your computer. If you decide to do this, use an uninstaller such as Revo Uninstaller which will clear out any corrupted files. Then download the latest application from https://evernote.com/download and reinstall a clean version.
  7. I don't remember where I saw the advice re Legacy apps and RTE. But that piece is documented. It may, though, be in an Evernote Experts forum... I'm putting two and two together regarding the API but I suspect that I am correct. Sorry.
  8. I'm sure @Scott T.will be able to answer for certain but I think that the API access is effectively a Legacy application. Legacy apps are locked out of a note that is open in RTE. That seems to be what you are describing.
  9. Could I ask which subscription plan you are on?
  10. One possibility for it being a tad quicker is that the Evernote-backup stuff runs on your device. Nothing gets in the middle of the process so a direct link from you to the API. Also, the ENEX generation is local to your device. But as I confessed, my data possibly occupies fewer electrons.
  11. 😇 Meanwhile, I've created my backups three times albeit possibly smaller collection of notes.
  12. My experience with the web clipper is that the dev teams are pretty good at fixing issues. But it does, typically, take a week or two.
  13. I still seem to have the tray icon. Perhaps you need to uninstall/reinstall to fix a glitch in your update.
  14. The scanning software is provided by Fujitsu/ScanSnap. You should ask it what has changed.
  15. Please tell us your version number and your operating system
  16. Looks like the Devs are aware of this issue so we can anticipate a fix in due course.
  17. Download from the not very obvious link for the installer for your OS. Follow the configuration instructions on the main page.
  18. I have it configured to run on a schedule, once per week, for my whole account. You can run it manually if you wish. I'm not sure if you can run it one notebook at a time since that wasn't my requirement.
  19. Thankfully, you have time to make a plan for your departure. My guess is that you have around a year to sort out where you can move your data to. So, thankfully, good time to make the plan. Those who have successfully transitioned to the v10 interface will, I think, all agree that it takes a short time to switch but then it becomes OK again. Whatever change you make will be painful and different.
  20. There will never be a reversion to the old design. As mentioned the last time you asked, select the Notes view, click the three dot menu and choose the sort by option you require as well as the view options. Leave Evernote in Notes view and that's where you will return.
  21. @Elliot Holt the previous layout is from the Legacy program and that's what you'll need to revert to get that view. You still have the option to revert to Legacy for the time being.
  22. These keystrokes are normally set to Ctrl+Alt+N/S but still seem to trigger with the Alt+N/S I suggest that you either reset the keystrokes in the Evernote shortcuts or disable them altogether in Evernote Ctrl+/ will open the keyboard shortcuts in Evernote.
  23. evernote-backup has a secure direct connection via the API. You login and run the backup. A download of your data is created in a location of your choice on your computer. If you run the command with a different set of commands a set of ENEX files will be created from the data. You can run the commands on a schedule. It certainly has a Windows and Mac version and possibly Linux too. It does not require any client application. The program runs on your device so a direct link from your computer to Evernote. https://github.com/vzhd1701/evernote-backup Instructions further down the page. Download from the almost hidden direct download link.
