Hi.  Tried these fixes?  Tips for troubleshooting syncing issues
  2. gazumped's post in Personal vs pro was marked as the answer
I also have Pro (and just over 61,000 notes),  and searches are pretty quick - though I don't go in for hugely complicated conditions.  I also find it useful when searching normally to exclude things to trim down my false hits.  Add a few -unwanted terms  to your original word(s) to reduce the number.
  3. gazumped's post in Amazing performance on Google Chrome! was marked as the answer
Way to look for sympathy or help.  I've been doing this for a dozen years.  I've been known to help other users if I can.
  4. gazumped's post in Losing patience - need link for EverNote Legacy was marked as the answer
Hi.  Try this one - it appeared in a different thread somewhere:  (EDIT: link deleted)
That said,  Legacy won't (say the new owners) disappear in the immediate future,  but it is a stub.  There will be no more development or fixing,  even as OS's,  browsers and v10 keep on progressing.  Some Mac users have already lost some functionality.  So there's a clock running on how long you can continue with the old app.  It will soon be time to decide whether to accept the quirks of v10,  or find a viable alternative.
On a quick look,  most of your objections are pretty cosmetic and there are alternative ways to get to a new note (for example) if you're willing to be flexible.  I know everyone hates change and learning curves,  but if you're actively using the new app you can at least make feature requests and find workarounds at your leisure,  with Legacy to fall back on - rather than hiding away in the Legacy cave and getting dumped out without a safety net in several months time...

  5. gazumped's post in Legacy vs Current Version was marked as the answer
Hi.  Yes,  you can try out the new version alongside the old one - you might want to just sign on to the web version via Evernote.com which will give you a pretty good idea where things are at.  If you install the new version on a desktop it defaults to uninstalling the old app.  Don't Panic!  You will not lose your old database and you can reinstall the older version if you wish.
But.  Yes the old version is no longer supported and will not be developed in any way - some Mac users have already found that changes in their OS have restricted its use,  and that will happen more and more as time goes on.
People who really hate the new app have switched to Notion and OneNote - but it's notable that some have quietly switched back;  no-one seems to have found something which is hands-down better than Evernote.  YMMV!
I was a denier for a year,  I think,  since the new app came out - but I now use it 99.9% of the time.  There are work-arounds for most of the differences,  and you can always come back here and get some help if you need it.  Good luck,  whatever you do...
  6. gazumped's post in Data in Encrypted Note still shows up in Card or Snippet View was marked as the answer
I think Evernote's 'encryption' is... sub-optimal... if you're looking to ensure security.  If you create a note and then encrypt,  the original content still exists in Note History.  If you decrypt to edit,  and the note syncs meantime... I don't know.  But Encryption is only available for text anyway,  so lists,  images,  style of any kind will cause problems.  I do have some encrypted notes in my account,  but they're actually normal notes with encrypted PDF attachments which I create and edit outside Evernote so the content is purely mine... <Gollum voice> My precious...
Sorry.  Anyway - a lot of apps allow encryption if and when necessary,  so I'd say attachments is the way to go if you need to be confident.

Try a restart?  (Power off,  power back on...)
  8. gazumped's post in How can I integrate Evernote into my client project dashboard? was marked as the answer
Hi.  What,  exactly,  is your "project dashboard"?  If this is a project management tool,  you may be able to use Evernote Web as a direct link.  But Evernote does not 'integrate' with other software apart from the current links to Google and other specific providers.  You may in fact be better off using the Evernote home page as a dashboard with widgets for reminders and recent notes plus a pinned note (or notes) for links to open other software.
  9. gazumped's post in Deleted notebooks remain was marked as the answer
Hi.  The notebook limit is 250 for free users,  1,000 for subscribers.  If you're a free user you may be locked out of the account - you need to contact Support (https://twitter.com/evernotehelps) or maybe subscribe (even if only for one month) to resolve the issue.

  10. gazumped's post in Safari plugin update seems not to install so keeps asking for the update again was marked as the answer
Hi.  Have you tried uninstalling the existing plugin and reinstalling as new?
  11. gazumped's post in Any new deals? was marked as the answer
Hi.  We're almost all users here;  no knowledge of upcoming offers - if you don't see anything on your 'subscribe' page, or receive any email/ pop-ups,  you're probably - currently - out of luck.  If you're a student with a school or college address you could write to Support to see what might be on offer.
  12. gazumped's post in I would like to know how to automatically add hyperlinks to URLs. was marked as the answer
Hi.  If you copy a URL you should get a 'live' URL when pasting,  but pasting plain text does produce plain text unless you specifically apply the link.  If you have a lot of URLs and need to do the conversion you could paste the text into a word-processor first,  and then into Evernote - but AFAIK there's no way to set the conversion as an option.
  13. gazumped's post in Note History Not Available was marked as the answer
Purely as a guess,  I'd assume that you you are not (presumably) the owner of the note,  you would not have access to that feature amongst others.  Which,  I suppose might be the case here if the OP is not the originator of the note.  On the other hand if you have a share that has edit permissions...  But I don't have anything handy to check that here either.
  14. gazumped's post in ChatGPT banned in Italy was marked as the answer
Bending Spoons are AI specialists,  so I don't think they'll necessarily be dependent on ChatGPT - and as I understand it,  the issue with that was something to do with Europe's data protection laws and OpenAI were working to fix it.
  15. gazumped's post in Feature access after subscription cancelled was marked as the answer
Hi.  If you cancel your subscription you'll enjoy the current service until your last payment expires,  then your account will revert to Basic.  You'll be able to open existing notes,  but if the edited note size exceeds the Basic limits,  you won't be able to save the edited version.  Plus your ability to use widgets or the home page will be very limited - see the attached comparisons for more information - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209005157
If you wish to cancel please change your status on the 'My Account' page https://www.evernote.com/Settings.action
You could try Basic for a short period and perhaps consider upgrading back to your current level - but beware that any users currently on grandfathered Premium accounts,  or the now discontinued Plus account,  would have to rejoin as Personal or Professional users at (almost certainly) a higher rate.

  18. gazumped's post in Re-ordering notebooks and stacks was marked as the answer
Hi.  No.  You can change the notebook names so the default works for you - try
A - Middle of the road thoughts
    B - Zoological interests
    C - Arctic Winter
Or: use more stacks and separate the most important notebooks out.
  19. gazumped's post in Sort Options for each Notepad was marked as the answer
Hi.  You're not missing anything that I'm aware of - Evernote doesn't (yet) allow you to remember specific view options.  It used to be possible in Legacy,  so you could revert to that unsupported version in the short term and maybe feedback to Evernote that you'd very much like the option returned,  and/ or set up a votable Feature Request here (if it hasn't been done already) to see how many others favour the same thing.  It's unknown whether,  or when,  Evernote intends to re-include this feature at some future time.
  20. gazumped's post in Sorting the order of PDFs within a note. was marked as the answer
Hi.  I moved your post to General Discussions since you didn't mention your device,  OS or Evernote version.  "Teams" where you first posted is the business product which I assume you don't have.
As to your query - there's no way to sort the content of a note in Evernote,  but if you have your files in a table - either an Evernote table (use square brackets to generate one - [][] = 2 cells wide x 1 high) or an Excel sheet,  you can copy/ paste the Evernote table into a spreadsheet or just open an Excel sheet and sort there.  Then just replace the cell contents with the revised list...
  21. gazumped's post in Can't send pdfs to evernote any more--since this morning was marked as the answer
I noticed recently that import folder to Evernote imports generate a weird response for a while - "unknown file type" and such... but after a while they sort themselves out and everything is copacetic.  Import / scan everything,  but save the originals.  Give it an hour or so and then check whether everything is working.  You should find it's OK.
  22. gazumped's post in Where do deleted tasks go? was marked as the answer
I'd imagine if you trash a task,  it's gone completely.  Check Settings > Preferences > Tasks to find where the default task storage is,  and maybe check Note History in that note to see older versions??  If you had a task in a specific note,  try History there.  Otherwise - ask Support!
  23. gazumped's post in PDFs appear to save as notes but PDFs disappear was marked as the answer
Hi.  No clue.  We're mostly users here,  not Support.  I'd recommend you reach out to them and be prepared to share your system logs / notes where this issue has arisen.  I'm also a long-time user and don't seem to have any problems,  and you're reporting an intermittent fault that may be hard to pin down.   Notes, and note contents don't typically go missing - and syncing 'between devices' won't be an issue:  each device syncs with the server in a 'star' pattern.  Having said which,  editing one note on more than one device could overwrite one version of a note with another if the first device doesn;t havetime to update the central server record.
Have you used Note History to check back to see whether notes with a missing PDF actually had that file at some time in the recent past?
Use note history to view older versions of a note
  24. gazumped's post in Getting an inaccurate "over limit" message on desktop was marked as the answer
Hi.  If you can subscribe - even for a month or two - that would get you out of the limitation immediately and give you access to Support... although they'll probably just tell you to update your version.  If you have another email address,  you could start another account and use that as a temporary store untile things even out - but exceeding the limit isn't something you can work around.  The usage stats aren't very clear but if you exceeded the very basic free limit it's possible that you went a couple of times over,  and the system is still catching up...
  25. gazumped's post in Had "Free" version on my Android, but now can't use it was marked as the answer
Hi.  Sounds like you have connected using a new device (or at least one that Evernote doesn't recognise) and so have fallen foul of the Device Limit.  See the help pages for more information... Understanding the device limit
