  1. gazumped's post in emails was marked as the answer
OK - there are other threads here about that.  v10 Clipper no longer has a specific 'gmail' option,  but there is a special Gmail Clipper which you can access via the Gmail 'Marletplace'*.  It remains possible to use the standard clipper options,  forward emails to your Evernote email address,  set up a rule to forward some mails automatically,  or BCC your own Evernote email address when replying to an incoming mail.
    * look for the '+' in the right Gmail menu bar.  In Marketplace,  search for Evernote & install.  This clipper can save an email or an entire conversation, and include or exclude attachments
EDIT:  Evernote email address - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360050995914

  3. gazumped's post in Sharing a notebook with someone on the free plan was marked as the answer
Hi.  If you share a notebook,  the restrictions that apply are at your account level,  not the free one.  Best if you work through the sharing with her though - you need an email address which will generate an offer by email,  so check any spam folders.  Once the offer is accepted there will be options to set up a new free account to view the notebook.  Not sure what alternatives there will be to that - maybe a web view (?)  Only main drawback is that as you are the owner of the notebook she will be unable to create new tags.  She can use existing ones though,  so maybe if necessary create a note with all possible tags already applied...
  4. gazumped's post in How do I get rid of the moving initial? was marked as the answer
Do you have another account with a "B" icon?  That looks like you have the same note open on another device...  to remove the icon,  close down the device.
  5. gazumped's post in lost a year of notes (windows client and web client in Chrome) was marked as the answer
Hi.  If you went over the two device limit Evernote may be confused about how many devices are connected to the account.  You know you only have two,  but is Evernote aware of that?  (And by the way Web access counts as a device).  See the information in the Help pages to check and ensure you only use two devices - which I would suggest should be the iPhone and the Web on your Windows device.  Understanding the device limit
To add to your woes the current iOS app seems to have some issues of its own,  and syncing with the web server - which should hold the 'parent' cop of your account and all its notes - has been erratic.  If you can log into your browser,  check the account settings for whether you are using the new browser version or not.  Whichever version it shows,  try the other and see whether your 'lost' notes re-appear.
Finally use this link to submit a ticket with the issue type 'Account' - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?guest=true - they're very busy,  so you'll wait several days for a human response.
Caveat:  I don't use iOS myself so someone else here might have more helpful suggestions!
  6. gazumped's post in Notes on web only showing through 8/29 - on android fine was marked as the answer
Hi.  Are you saying that notes you added over the last two months have disappeared from your laptop web client?  That should be impossible,  because the web server holds the parent copy of your notes.  If you are not seeing them in the web client,  they should not be present on your mobile,  because mobiles do not default to having notes in local storage - they refer back to the web server,  and you already saw what notes it holds in the browser version.
If you go to this web page - https://www.evernote.com/Settings.action - what web version does it show (see the middle of the page)?  The new version?  If you have choices try changing to a different web version.
  7. gazumped's post in How to make an index in Evernote? was marked as the answer
Closest you get is the Table of Contents thing - make a new note for each section of your document and use a tag or a title keyword so they're all findable easily.  When you finish creating,  search for the keyword and copy the note links into another note;  then each section is available from the link.
  8. gazumped's post in Does my Windows licence cover a Mac? was marked as the answer
If you're a subscriber your licence covers unlimited devices.

Hi.  The Forums are mainly user-supported, so we can't help much with payments and refunds apart from suggesting you contact Support.
Both subscribers and non-subscribers can contact Support through https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?guest=true - use the issue type "Account"

  10. gazumped's post in Tried AI Search in Android. Now stuck was marked as the answer
A reinstall worked for me - I got 10.56.3 - and access to the server database is immediate.  Unfortunately I'd downloaded 60k+ notes to 20GB of my SD card,  so I could work in my tablet without a network connection,  and all that is gone;  the reinstall took all of 3 minutes.  The downloads will be ongoing for days....
  11. gazumped's post in Поменять условия оплаты одного из аккаунтов was marked as the answer
Hi.  It would probably be best for you to contact Support (from the paid account) to see whether they can do that internally.  (They are busy so it may take some time.)
If you simply wish to be able to use the notes from the free account in your paid account,  you could share the notebook(s) between the two,  or export all the notes from the free account to ENEX files,  notebook by notebook.  Then import those files into the paid account.
You would not be able to do the same from Paid to Free - the account limits are too low.
  12. gazumped's post in There is no reply to my inquiry was marked as the answer
Support is very busy at present.  Do you have a ticket number?  We are mostly other users here,  but we can ask an Evernote employee to look at your request.
  13. gazumped's post in Failed to initialize ICU with data file: U_INVALID_FORMAT_ERROR was marked as the answer
No clue about the issue.  but the fix may be to uninstall Evernote with Revo Uninstaller Free and then re-download and reinstall.

Hi.  Device?  Windows version?  Evernote version?
  15. gazumped's post in New limitations on the maximum number of exported notes after recent update was marked as the answer
If you go your your Notebooks page in v10 and check the three-dots menu to the right of the name,  you can export the entire contents of the notebook (without any 100-note limits) to an ENEX file.  Not very helpful if you have a lot of notebooks,  but doable for a dozen or so...
EDIT - on a desktop...  mobiles and the web version don't have the option.

Please check these two locations -
https://www.evernote.com/Settings.action  https://www.evernote.com/PersonalSettings.action  ...and check they show "new version / enable v10
    That should resolve the problem.
  17. gazumped's post in Can't reactive Teams account, which means you can't contact support. :-/ was marked as the answer
Hi.  Support is via the web - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?guest=true - use the issue type "Account"   You'd need to quote the login details for your original account.  No clue what page you're looking at,  or why your posts are not in the correct format.

  19. gazumped's post in Evernote width wont resize to less than 50% of my screen. was marked as the answer
Try opening a note in its own window?  (Alt+Ctrl+N for a new note)
A single note can be quite small,  and edited/ viewed alongside a browser web page,  or another app very easily.
  20. gazumped's post in After upgrade can no longer login (Unable to connect to Evernote. Please check your network connection and try again.) was marked as the answer
    Hi.
Subscribers have full access to Support here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new - please note that's not us;  the forums are mainly supported by other Evernote users. Evernote v10 requires some minimum system levels described in detail here Older devices will still run Evernote Legacy,  but those applications are no longer supported and may stop working. Recommended:  if your device is not compliant,  convert to the new app now if you can; otherwise find an alternative provider for your note-taking services.
  21. gazumped's post in Can't use Free anymore? was marked as the answer
    Hi.
Non subscribers can use Evernote on two devices only. Swops are allowed for replacements, but only two per month. Access to the web counts as one device and is necessary for admin and swops, so realstically you have a choice of web access on a laptop, plus the app tablet or phone.
Tracking the number of connected devices is not an exact science - check here for your own situation https://www.evernote.com/Devices.action.
Devices can also be checked via the account tab on a mobile device. Choose Devices to see a list of currently authorised devices. Select those to disconnect from here
For these purposes it doesn't matter if you 'know' that you're only connecting through 2 devices. What matters is: does Evernote know that?
If you're locked out of your account for exceeding a device limit, the choices are limited to: waiting it out until the end of the current month or paying for access (even if only for one month).
  22. gazumped's post in How to search for specific text? was marked as the answer
Hi.  Special characters are not necessarily recognised in search.  Emojii are,  and some characters like "|" (so "|Hello " would be valid).  Personally I just use x for my search words as in xhello.

  23. gazumped's post in Customize note toolbar? was marked as the answer
Hi.  No,  it's not currently possible to edit or delete the AI Cleanup button.  That might change if and when more options are added.  We're mainly users here - feedback@evernote.com to suggest this to the company.
  24. gazumped's post in All my shortcuts are gone .... was marked as the answer
Losing your established shortcuts is not,  as they say,  expected behaviour.  I would suggest contacting Support on this - there have not (AFAIK) been any other reports of this happening in the forums...
  25. gazumped's post in Help to close accounts? was marked as the answer
Hi.  This is a public forum,  so I'd suggest you edit your initial post to remove your email address to avoid spammers.  There's a 'forgot password' option at Evernote.com which may get you back into your account.  If you can,  then you can follow these steps:  Permanently close your Evernote account
If not,  then you'll need to contact Support (which is not us: mainly other users here...) use  https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?guest=true and select 'Account' as the request type.
