If you don't use the web platform and the integration with calendar, I really suggest UpNote. It really combines the best of Evernote (simple editor, all you need is there), Notion (nested notebooks) and Obsidian (local first, no vendor lock in as you can export everything as markup file). Plus some specific features I love (a note can be put in multiple notebooks, easy way to find Todos, you can create notes that belong to no notebook and then add them later). They seem to be a little company who are investing really in the quality of their product and in the user experience, and you get a lot of value for a really low price. I was a paying user of Evernote, but with recent price increases, I don't they provide enough value to support it. Did a lot of exploration before finding an alternative (Obsidian, Logseq, Bear, Capacities, Everytype ...), and I'm really happy with this setup (by the way I also use Notion as read later app)

Do you mean getupnote where they don't understand English & can't answer simple questions about features?

Maybe there's 2, upnotes & getupnote is the one I looked into last year. Just checking.

As I am so  “any” other things? Ah… look. The universe threw a stone at you. LOL. you should run your comments through Evernote’s AI before you post. ROTFL

Their worshippers. They either own stock or just have to attack anyone who experiences something different so no one speaks the Truth. It's what a lot of people do, especially if they are transhuman if you know what that is.

Did you consider zoho? So I just moved to Zoho notebook - https://go.zoho.com/rQ7

I decided against Notion, but I'd have to look at my notes as to why.

so much for free users I guess. Guess I am finally forced out, time to switch. There is a lot of data since I have been using it from the very start. Thanks for the free collection of my data during that time. Oh well, the only thing constant is change. What a pain.

So I just moved to Zoho notebook - https://go.zoho.com/rQ7

I am having issues with it (the GUI mainly, but there are bugs) & doing a lot to help them get it way more streamlined/user friendly, & get the bugs fixed.

I always work for free for every company I help, it's not just them, but I'm pretty sure they will NOT lose a ton of notes like EVN lost (tons of lost work) & they actually care about your opinion (I use other zoho products too) & they almost always fix everything in the other programs I use of theirs.

I may have some issues with Zoho b/c they have too many products & no one who overseas all of the depts., & depending on the dept., some take longer to respond, but their heart is in it & they are nice & like I said, they fix issues. I love that about them.

PLUS, they are privately owned & have ensured me they aren't using evil amazon or goolag servers so my info is NOT given to the evil AI.

They may do the porting over for you (migration). If you need to talk to them, just ping me & I'll loop you in.

Also, I can't remember what the price is for premium, but whatever it is, I can afford it & I'm a poor Truther Activist running my non profit, so for the year I think it's miniscule. Usually you can't pay for a month b/c the cost is so low they just charge for the year. iDrive does that too although their price is more.

I've been wanting to leave EVN for 2 years.

You write a lot. You write here you lost 2 notes. You write in another posting 2-3 years ago. You write the new version camp out in 2021 (actually it was 2020). You write in yet another posting you lost a note 1 1/2 year ago on a plane (which probably means offline mode, device not mentioned), and then you found it later in the trash (which rather speaks for a case of fat finger syndrome).

You think anybody could make sense out of this fractionary, partially contradictory and mostly anecdotal description of your ills and woes ? I can‘t, honestly, and given the general tone of the postings, I won‘t. As another user, unrelated to EN except I pay a subscription every year, I can decide where to try an assist, and where to comment. When I think it’s not worth it, I move on.

    🏎️

LOL, Yeh, you are on here every day & I'm on here around once a year & I write a lot.

    You are hilarious.

I don't need your help. I never asked for your help.

You keep worshipping your almighty EVN & bullying me.

Adios - I don't have time for bullies. I'm too busy fighting in this war. Keep it up. BYE

You use a deprecated software on a deprecated OS. None of both receive patches any more, they are abandoned for years now.

Both devs actively warn against their continued use. Both devs have offered their users free (!) upgrades to more modern, supported versions.

You continue to stick with the deprecated versions out of your own decision. Sorry, whatever happened, you are on your own with it.

What do you mean by outdated? I got the latest model !

I have no recollection over the past 15+ years of Evernote ever having deleted content from a user account.  All due respect,  but you're using an operating system that hasn't been updated or supported by Microsoft for 4 years now. There is no basis for accusing anything installed on that system of being at fault for anything.

My dear, when they were deleted, it was 2-3 years ago & the OS has nothing to do with EVN. That's just more brainwashing to the masses that an OS that was working perfectly fine is no longer fine just b/c your lord & master KILL BILL tells you so.

And again, I was using the legacy version of EVN which was supposed to work with WIN 7 & it still does & this computer is on Win 10.

I don't care what has happened or hasn't happened to you. I only care about what has happened to me. You are responsible for your life & me mine.

You can call me a liar all you want, that doesn't deny the fact that I've had notes deleted out of EVN.

Don't understand all the vitriol here towards the OP. Are these paid commenters? AI? If you're seeing a bunch of posts about people having new issues with Evernote and wanting an alternative, take a clue, people (bots, whoever you are).

Evernote is actually dying. It can't even do text editing right anymore. Text selection is a nightmare and has different bugs from mobile to web. Sometimes copying and pasting goes wild and deletes things and can't be undone. I have routinely in the last few months gone in and edited a note (just text), opened it back up later to find that my changes were missing. No conflicting note warning. Just nada, gone into the atmos. Adding photos or documents to a note via attachments is about a 75% chance that they'll still be there when you open the note up later. Price increases. Long loading times. I just opened the app on web and it just sat there with a permanent loading spinner. This adds up to a list of bugs which can be fixed, yes, but more than that I feel like I can't trust Evernote with my data anymore. If I put something incredibly important into Evernote, it means I'm "saving" it there, and deleting it from other sources with the assumption it will be there until I delete it. If I can't rely on that fact, then Evernote is no longer useful. Full stop.

I feel for the employees that were lost in the US with the move to Europe. If that had been the only change and things were working per usual, I'd say who cares. But this is a mess. Also, can we just stop and ask ourselves why an AI company would want to buy an app with millions of users entire catalog of personal data on their servers? This seems a bit sketchy to me...

I haven't trusted EVN for at least 3 years since I started looking for a new solution to no avail, although Nimbus just told me they are revamping everything & so I'm praying they will make it look like EVN (pretty much) & it will have all of the features I need that only EVN has, & I can easily import all of my notebooks & the notes under them.

If anyone want to join in to hire a dev to create a duplicate of the old version, if we get enough people/money, we can develop our own.

I've lost at least 2 notes (I'm sure more that I'm unaware of) that were HUGE. I spent weeks on one & at least 8 hours on the other.

When I came here to complain about it, EVERYONE blamed me for the lost notes as if I'm SO stupid I just went in on my own & deleted them. They are tons of bullies on this platform that worship the almighty EVN as if they are related to them. You can't say one negative thing about them otherwise they attack. Just shocking.

Whether they were deleted by EVN on purpose (they were very important Truther information) or their software is so bad it deleted it, I don't care (well I still care), the bottom line is that they were deleted.

You are right abut their mobile app.

How many times have I tried to get to a note while outside only to NOT see the updates or it says there's a problem with the note (I can't remember the error message).

I'm stressed trying to get the info for whoever I need to give it to & I can't & I just keep going around in circles.

While on a plane I added a very important note of 1 1/2  years of info to the shortcut. IT LOST THE NOTE.

A year later I found it in the Trash. sigh I'm pretty sure it wasn't there before because I wrote to EVN & I'm sure they told me to look there.

I had to redo ALL of that info before finding the first note.

Now they are forcing us to be on the latest version of EVN even though I have been avoiding it for years. It doesn't work on Win 7, they removed 2 features I needed, the interface isn't as user friendly AND it was a memory/CPU hog.

AI is tied to you know who, so yes, this speaks volumes about what they are upto AND why they are now forcing us on the version they came out with right after the war started.

    Thanks for posting.

  8. @By BASboy - what did you end up doing?

I thought there was a way to PM people here, but I guess not.

When I checked into Nimbus at least 2 years ago, they couldn't import notebooks, only notes. That was a no go for me. I have tons of both. Plus it would have been hard for me to switch b/c of their GUI, but I just emailed them to see if they fixed the notebook issue.

I use them religiously for taking SSs. I love that part of the application & they used to (at least) respond back so fast, that sometimes it was within 2 minutes LOL

I don't think it's like that much now, but they used to 98% of the time.

I've used the Thunderbird Email software in preference to Outlook. It serves me well but, similarly, every issue arises from the 3rd party plug-ins or at least the dysfunction that arises when the main program is updated.

I'm nervous about the HUGE update that's pending.

At least 2 of my extension devs have wanted money to redo their entire extension (I donated to one), that's how much of a change it's going to be. :(

I'm not even sure I'm going to like the new interface & I won't want to switch. GUI is one of the most important things to me with any software, & I've been using it since 2004.

Now EVN is forcing me to switch to the one they came out with in 2021 & I don't want to. sigh

I would be interested to know if anyone has found another app that searches embedded files like EN does.  I have Powerpoint, Excel, Word Docs, and Pdfs in my EN files.  When I do searches on EN, it also searches the content of all of those docs contained in the notes.  This is a feature that I have not been able to find in ANY other app.  Many will search only PDFs.  OneNote, only searches embedded PDFs and I believe the same it true of Notion.  Thoughts?

Is that the only reason why you load them onto EVN so you can search inside them?

I use Ultra file search & swear by it & the guy is very fast at responding to tickets.

It can be a tad complicated with having to use certain keys if you only want to search for a PDF or JPG, etc., but it searches either the title or the inside & it's VERY fast. I love it & have been using it since around 2014.

I've paid him a couple of times b/c he deserves it.

This is an interesting point. I use Google Calendar, but I would never use either Google or Microsoft services to store important notes and ideas, let alone personal information. I just don't trust them, no matter what their user agreements say, not to capitalize on my personal information. People who don't trust other companies found Evernote trustworthy in this regard. Maybe this explains some of the rage and sense of betrayal we see in these forums with regard to price increases and software malfunctions.

    They have your calendar too.

Anyone who thinks ANYTHING online is private doesn't understand what's going on (or has been), especially now.

Ponder WHY all of these companies suddenly started changing their software when the scamdemic started.

EVN is one of them & I thank whoever told us that they were bought out by an EU corp.

And WHY almost all companies use live bots now.

I could go on, but I won't b/c I know I'll get attacked by bullies for speaking what little Truth I already said.

Not that zoho won't be compromised soon if they haven't already, but I use Zoho now, & used to love their support & their willingness to fix bugs until they told me they would make changes to their notebook to look more like an office application like EVN, & they never did. It's been MONTHS. I was promised this in March.

Now they said they won't do it, they will only allow us to size their HUGE notecards/notebooks.

    The rest I like.

They have a huge bank of different types of software. If you can think of it, they probably have it.

And I recently found out that their ticketing system actually keeps the email thread intact which is unheard of with MOST ticketing systems nowadays which I hate. SMH

Obsidian does have lots of pros - depending on personal use-cases (where I love it for - for special purposes).

But there are as well some cons (once again depending on use cases):

    • Obsidian sync is nearly on same price level as EN Pro (but may be avoided with some nerdy workarounds using github or cloud-storage and 3-party-sync)
    • Obsidian also ist Electron-based: So for working with Obsidian the hole workspace has to be loaded for each collection of notes, attachments, plugins etc. If you are working local and running Obsidian in background this ist a one-time job. But if you are on mobile opening and loading obsidian may take some time - in some cases every time you change apps - not always fluent work... And: The more content you put in Obsidian the bigger the workspace to load will be. Dividing and organizing notes in different vaults may reduce loading time. Therefore you have to switch vaults for opening notes with other main-topics.
    • And by the way: no integrated webClipper , no direct email-forwarding

But sure: simple-file and folder system with Mardown pure, accessible and editable with every simple note-editor

Yeh, the markdown was a no for me. I  need a real editor.

It also sounded too complicated for what I need it for which is just Notebooks and notes & about 10 other EVN features only to do with notes.

What you describe may point to a database corruption on the desktop. This can happen, and then new notes may not sync from the server.

When you reset the local database, it will creates a new one using the cloud master copy. It will download a first set of data fast, and then fill the missing gaps, like attachments. As long as there is still data missing it needs to load it from the server, which delays reaction.

I would leave it open, running in the background for a while. Unfortunately there is no indicator telling when the download is done. I monitored network traffic last time - it took 3 days until the connection to EN stopped showing traffic.

I don't think it's that b/c then it wouldn't have saved any of the notes after those notes, right? And it has.

I just thought of another note or even an entry in a very long note I have that went missing, but I wasn't 100% sure about that one even though I spent over 30 minutes trying to find it, but I was 1000% sure about the other two.

And the cloud version doesn't have it either. I'm not sure why I'm ever told by support to look there when it syncs with the desktop.

I just installed a new SSD HD with a new copy of Win 7 so the EN desktop is brand new.

Wow, if yours took days & mine only took maybe 10-32 mins. (I wasn't paying attention) then you have a lot more than I do. Or is that different than resetting?

And I think they had me do something like that a few years ago, but I really don't remember.

Just to be clear, this isn't a new problem. The one note was around 4 1/2 years old (lots of Truther info in there) & the 2nd one was just after the scamdemic first started, so around summer 2020. I went to hand it out to someone about 2 months ago & POOF, it was gone.

I've even had text from inside a note disappear (different than the one I mentioned above). The note didn't disappear, but there's no way I wrote only 5 lines of text when I was taking notes on a 50+ min. video.

    Thanks

Instead of spreading unfounded assumptions, some facts:

EN runs on servers located in Google datacenters. This servers are exclusively rented by EN, Google has no access to them. Think of them as a rack mont, in long rows of racks, each of them serving several EN users.Google runs the data center, but the servers are under EN staff control. Google has no access to servers or the data transferred, as it has no access to the servers of many other companies renting servers there. Google is just running enough of them for their own use that economies of scale and professional data center management speaks for this solution.

EN had access to the users data since it was founded, and nothing has changed about it. EN bots will read content to build the search index, EN bots will process pictures and other attachments to make them searchable. Bots means algorithms, computer code, not humans. The result of their work is fed back into your account, making it searchable for your own use. You can‘t have one without the other.

If important notes get deleted, you deleted them yourself, or they got caught in one of these not-syncing-problems EN is working on (new sync is going into beta testing now, lets hope for the best). EN is not deleting user content - even if a user downgrades to Free, his data is still kept on his account, for reference.

If you want data autonomy, you need to avoid cloud services at all. This is a choice up to yourself - don‘t complain about the consequences if you opted for comfort and capabilities of the cloud services, which are hard to match stand alone. But it is possible, if you want to invest the money, time and learning necessary. Getting the autonomy without the sweat is not working.

I don't talk conspiracy theories, I only talk about things I have studied. If you aren't a Truther you have no idea what what I'm talking about & I won't say anymore on the topic. You have insulted me & will probably kick me out of here if I say what I really think. More censoring of the Truth & ignoring reality.

    Now onto EN

I HAVE NOT DELETED MY NOTES. STOP BLAMING ME FOR EN!!!

I won't respond to you again. That's why I never come onto this forum, b/c I was blamed a few times for the notes going missing. No one EVER takes responsibility for their actions or software. That's WHY we are in this war!

I only came on here because of that Evernote Essentials issue/bug.

As it happens,  I've tried many of the alternatives but I'm still using Evernote after 12-15 years and very nearly 60,000 notes.  I get regular backups because I'm careful with my data,  but in all that time and content I've only 'lost' a couple of notes,  probably entirely through my own fault or evil Internet gremlins.

Most of the complaints we see here about alleged data loss are through user error,  so the best way to avoid issues is to raise a specific query and be prepared to listen to the answers.  If you're still a subscriber you have access to Evernote official Support.  If not,  you still have access to the forums where we are all other users of the product.

If you wish to spend the next 6 months looking at alternative applications,  here's a good start - Comparison of note-taking software - Wikipedia - that's a list of 30 or so,  although I've seen another list on Reddit which expanded that to around 80.  I don't have a link though - you'd need to do some searches to find it.

My main objections to most of these? - They're new / one person startups / lack of experience / bad security / not (yet) fit for purpose.  IMHO Evernote is still the best all-rounder,  at least for the general-purpose note taking I use it for.

Incidentally I've been around for so long that they made me a Moderator here,  which means I have the power to zap posts if they're unhelpful,  untrue or otherwise contrary to the code of conduct.  Your posts were a definite contender for that - please tone it down a little...

I'm done with talking about the Truth. It's censored everywhere, even on here.

No, sorry, I don't go around deleting my own notes. I've heard this for many years that the USER is responsible for deleting the notes & that's why they got lost.

Not happening with me. If others delete them & forget, ok, but again, I don't go around deleting notes, let alone HUGE notes with tons of information in them that I spent hours working to type out. I remove the odd duplicate or empty note, but NEVER my notes full of content & even if I did (I'm not saying I did), they would be int he trash & they aren't there. I've deleted maybe 10-15 notes most empty since 2014 when I started with EN.

As for backups, do you mean a folder/file within Evernote or the exporting?

I don't have time to remember to back things up & that's not just with EN. I use a backup system for that.

And when I started exporting, it was only specific notebooks or notes that are HUGE, but to export everything one at a time? No, it's not going to happen. That's why I said that EN should have had a backup system in place decades ago. I know they have a problem with this b/c when you fill out a ticket it asks if that's why you are filling it out. LOL SMH Again, if I only lost 1 note b/c of them, ok, but there's 2 HUGE notes that I spent 8-10 hours on compiling info from FB & another one that was a 6-8 video, so at least 14-20 hours of work. I have every right to be pissed.

As for their competition, all I care about is that I have software that does what it needs to do & doesn't lose my notes. I don't need all the other fancy features that a lot of other people use. Notebooks, notes, a good search feature that will find the kws in all of the notes & give me the links to go right there, a half decent text editor with at least a yellow highlight & I can do Ctrl V to paste images (not attachments) into the odd note. And it looks similar to EN b/c some of them like Zoho uses tiles which I don't like. I need more of an office look rather than a personal fancy/graphical interface. Oh, & it syncs with a mobile app & WORKS.

If a small team can handle that, I'd be more than happy to give them not just my business, but also promote them. The size of the team doesn't matter if you know what you are doing code & GUI wise.

    Thanks

Evernote is more than a product like a Moleskine notebook, which you don't have a relationship with them after buying except that you have to exchange a new one because of quality. Evernote is a cloud service with software as a means to deliver features every second 24/7. Maintenance of services is needed all the times, and even some issues cannot be avoided, they should be working hard to prevent these to minimum. This fact is where trust lies, and trust implies communication is necessary.

The relationship between users and developers/companies has been changing and developing over decades, from merely a product to a service, and even more than services. A service may become like a nation because they store (more and more of) our privacy on the server. Now they are still an enterprises but they are taking more roles as governments. No matter what happens in the future, everything is changing and I won't be surprised people one day will call for democracy in enterprises and companies will consider that. But until now people are concerning more and more and some companies like Google are releasing transparency reports every year as a communication means to reassure the public that their service is reliable and trustworthy.

I don't want to say too far, but at this moment I regard note-taking apps as a kind of services which trust is a must, and so communication. I store my data on THEIR server not only on my devices especially when they dump local notebooks. I choose to store THEIRS because I trust them and I find it reliable so I can access and make use of my data all the time. I choose not to because I don't trust them and wonder what they will do to harm me (like losing notes, notes no longer can be exported...).

LOL, trusting goolag just b/c they put out a statement, you are funny.

goolag controls the ENTIRE internet (except really the evils do & they own all of the net & silicon valley) & makes it so they brainwash you.

They control what you see on their SE & that of course brainwashes you into thinking something is the Truth b/c it's on the first or second page of goolag.

And for all the other SEs out there, most use goolag as their backend.

I went back to Pre search b/c it wasn't good before & now it's much better - https://presearch.org/signup?rid=2578764

And goolag reads all of your emails, files when you use google drive, doc, sheet, etc (I switched to Zoho), what's on your phone, etc. & that is ALL passed to the horrific AI created by & run by the evils. I mean people need to know that thru your phone they listen to EVERYTHING & even use your camera without you knowing it's being turned on.

There is NO privacy on the net or our computers or even in our own homes if we have smart devices even in your fridge, thermostat, AC, dryer, whatever. VERY dangerous. They can access your home thru any smart device.

In fact, when I asked if I unplug my computer from the net is it safe & I was upset (but not surprised) to learn that NO, the evils have back doors into our hardware thru their hardware. It may be only Intel, but I doubt it, I'm sure they own AMD (I can't remember the other company name) as well.

It's very easy for them to spy on EVERYTHING & if anyone here thinks it's just to SELL you something (that's just the fake news they put out), I have a piece of swamp land to sell you.

Thanks for the reply and the offer of help! I didn't submit a ticket. To say I was put off is an understatement. Luckily, I also did not update to v10, but the threat of the legacy app being available for an unknown period of time is motivation enough for me to look for a more secure and efficient solution. And frankly, the thought of Evernote AI pilfering through my notes looking for something to put on my Home page is abhorrent to me. It's not something I need and not at all what I signed up for.

Did you ever find a good replacement?

There's certain features I need & that's important plus how to import them AND the notebooks into the next software.

ALL software companies now are reading everything we write down. We haven't had privacy EVER, but it's worse in the last few years.

They can delete very important notes whenever they want b/c if memory serves, they use goolag as their server.

Just installed legacy. Forgot how much faster the experience was. Things load instantly.

I tried the huge update 2 years ago (I assume that's vs 10) & it attacked my Win 7 computer. Then it wouldn't let me load the legacy version & I couldn't use my computer for a whole hour trying to get it to stop. I was beyond stressed.

They said I can't have both open at the same time, but even having both on the computer (not open) freaked the computer out. WOW.

I didn't like the newer version. They removed at least 2 features I needed (I can't remember what they were) & I missed the simple GUI that legacy has.

I HATE it when companies remove features & don't care what the customer wants. That's been happening with a lot of companies recently.

This is an update in case anyone else runs into the problem of having no link to renew Premium on their account status or subscription management page. This morning I clipped an article and saved it to Evernote.  At that time, I was presented with a link to renew my Premium subscription. After trying a few other web clippers on PC in the last few days, I made the decision that for the clipper alone, I would save myself some grief if I took advantage of that link and renewed Evernote Premium. LibreOffice Writer, which is open source and free, is good for my notes, backed up at sync.com, where they are encrypted. Just wanted to say thanks again for your insight and offer of help.

I don't use the clipper feature. I tried it once & I had issues with it.

    Have you ever tried Nimbus?

    I LOVE Nimbus for screenshots - https://nimbusweb.me/#OurFreeSociety

I'm complaining about their screen recording as there are still issues with it, but the SS feature is good & they have a clipper feature which I think is on the free version, but I have the paid version, so I don't know.

Just in case you want to check it out.

I actually needed something where I can write notes ON a webpage like Amazon so I don't forget what I researched about a product & there was nothing. I thought that was a feature of the clipper, but I guess not.

I finally found a Brave extension which works. LOL

Good suggestion - let's get them into real trouble so they can't ever fix the issues.  I still haven't found something better than Evernote - maybe a little patience until they get their act properly together?  I'd hate to have to use some of the alternatives...

    Have you tried others?

I'm currently looking b/c EN has lost at least 6-10 very important LONG notes & I am sick of it. Hours & hours of hard work all GONE! Some notes that can never be redone.

And who knows how many they lost b/c I don't go into every single note or search for it until I need it.

    JUST TERRIBLE!!!

And their Android app has caused me tons of problems every time I use it which isn't often. I can't even figure out how to search ALL notes & then it doesn't show me notes I've already created (takes forever to sync even if I click on sync before I leave the house) & how many times have I tried to open it & it won't open (the whole app, not just the note I need.) Although I think they fixed that problem, but it took them forever to fix it. Again, I rarely ever use my cell phone, but when I need something desperately & I'm away from my home, I can't rely on EN.

Oh, & one time while on a plane I made the mistake of making a note a shortcut & EN DELETED IT. 8-10 months later I finally found it in the trash. I even told them it was gone & they took so long to get back to me they couldn't even find it on the server.

I had to do ALL of that research work again (this was before I found it.)

And since it's clear that I'm not the only one who loses notes, how come they've NEVER made a backup system in place so if something does get lost you can get it from there?

I have to remember to do exports which I shouldn't have to do. I remember when I remember, but in the meantime I could lose tons.

I'm sure I'm going to regret asking this....

But why if you are a "truther" are you at "great risk"?

Because they don't want the truth to be known. Never have, never will.

Many people have been killed for speaking the truth.

My point is, I didn't delete the notes.

We'll see if this latest update fixes the issue.

I just found out that it also hasn't been telling me when there's an update. I was behind several versions & didn't know it.  WOW.

  23. I didn't say there was coding needed for rebuilding the index.

And no, I don't think it's easy to delete a note. You have to press the delete key or right click on the note.

Anyway, no need to respond back. You are clearly bent on blaming me for something I never did.

This is not to you, but to everyone else.

I did NOT do anything to delete my own notes. I made this very clear over & over again, so I hope anyone else who's having the same issues understands this.

  24. We'll agree to disagree.

Anyone can hack into your computer & I'm a truther, so I'm at huge risk. No one is immune to hacking.

I don't reuse p/ws. I use Last Pass so every p/w is unique.

I just looked at devices & it all "appears" to be normal.

I'll wait until my website coder is around to try & recreate the search index.

I HOPE that's the issue b/c one missing note, ok, maybe it's me, but 3? Nope, that's impossible. I don't delete notes for no reason. I rarely delete them & they only get deleted if I started one & didn't type something in them & needed to delete it b/c it was empty. In fact I have 6 deleted empty notes in my trash.

My trash has barely anything in it. 94 notes over the course of years.

So I just went to look what's in my trash & I found almost a duplicate of a note I already had that's in a notebook AND found another note that I never would have deleted & even though it's in the trash area, at the top when you look at what notebook it's attached to it says "Health," not trash.

And that's just 2 notes I investigated. I didn't go thru the rest.

Something serious is breaking with EN.

I never would have deleted that note, & I had no reason to create a duplicate note & trash one of them.

    smh
